Very quite place to relax and enjoy your family time
We really enjoyed our stay here and we will be returning in the future with friends and family.
Large supermarket 30 minute drive away, with a convenience store 5 minutes away.
Local pub in the local village and a small park for the younger children to play.

Comfy weekend away
The owners are really friendly and were really helpful during our stay. The bedrooms are really comfy and it's so lovely to have such a big real fire.
The only downside was that the main open areas were not as clean as they could have been. Lots of dust bunnies everywhere!
Overall though it's a lovely place to stay

Lovely stay in Suffolk
Overall, a lovely family holiday. Court Barn was spacious, very well equipped and the pool and tennis court were the icing on the cake. The owners were friendly and tried their best to mend a faulty shower..
We also loved the surrounding area, with excellent eateries and Polstead’s Community Shop was a little goldmine, especially with their freshly baked bread every day.

A lovely little find
A big thank you to Nigel, for a great stay last weekend, the barn was so lovely and perfect for a weekend away with friends, the pool was amazing and we got lucky with the weather to be able to use it. If you ever had a problem Nigel was there straight away to help. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone we will be returning.

We stayed here over Christmas with our 4 children and dog. We had a very enjoyable time. It is a beautiful property with a well equip kitchen. Towels and toiletries were all provided. The location is beautiful set in the suffolk countryside and approximately 30 minutes from Colchester which we visited a few times.

Family reunion at Court & Rose Barns
We were travelling from the USA to visit family and friends in the Constable Country area, and couldn’t have wished for a better venue. The location is idyllic and the facilities with pool, tennis courts and spacious entertaining areas made for a perfect holiday. We would highly recommend and would look to stay here in the future.

Fantastic week in the barn as part of our honeymoon
Court Barn is definitely worth a visit and we would definitely stay again.
We stayed for a week in June as a family of 3 (two adults and a 2 year old) and the barn was incredible. So much space for our son to explore and so so comfortable. We really appreciated the space as we had a few very rainy days but this proved to be no hardship as we cosied up in the barn watching films while our son pottered around with his toys. Unfortunately due to the weather we didn’t get to play in the pool!
Location is fab. Pub in polstead about a 25 min walk away and supermarket at Hadley a 10 min drive.
Can not recommend this place enough,

Peaceful barn conversion
The Barn itself is lovely, with sofa's galore to sit on. Lovely big fire place for the cold evenings and well equipped kitchen. Main bedroom and en suite are lovely but lacks a wardrobe and mirror. However the second bedroom seems to have been an after thought, using very flimsy material for the walls. The bedroom is cramped with a very small shower room added on at the end. The mezzanine at the time we stayed (November) was inundated with cluster flies. Apparently they only arrive as winter closes in and they are looking for somewhere warm to hibernate. We informed the home owner on the Saturday who promised us that an electric infra red fly catcher would be with them Monday morning. They did offer to hoover them up and gave us fly spray. However we left on Wednesday with no equipment in place and still lots of flies were entering the building via the eaves.

Court Barn Suffolk
A massive fly issue in the barn. Hundreds of them all over the window seals, floor and mezzanine area where my kids were sleeping. Used fly spray (that we found In cottage) and sprayed daily until the flies died then had to sweep up hundreds of dead flies. Not great with young kids around and especially as we couldn’t open any windows so was being choked by fly spray. Such a same as the cottage was lovely, great space and amenities

Fab barn for families or your very best friends.....
We stayed in Court Barn as a group of 3 couples whilst attending a local wedding. The barn was spacious and great for our needs.....
The only thing I would say is that those staying on the mezzanine level and the bedroom below it can hear everything each other say.....! Likewise with the bathroom/toilet.... this has an opening to the stairs to the mezzanine so ALL noises can be heard.....!! Not a worry if it's a family on these 2 levels but for some friends it may just be a step too far.....
That is the only negative point, the barn itself is lovely and we all enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful property with great facilities in fantastic countryside
This was our second trip to the barn, showing how much we loved it the first time. It is even better now as the layout has been improved, so there are now two good private double bedrooms as well as the mezzanine which makes up in coolness what it lacks in privacy. The owners are friendly and helpful and the building is really stunning, lots of room to cook and eat. The pool is a good size and we love the tennis court. There is a good eating pub in walking distance and great countryside for runs and walks. We feel so relaxed here and will definitely go back.
