You will find this holiday park surrounded by three beautiful natural areas: the Mantingerzand with its shifting sands where Scottish Highlanders (Highland cows) graze; the unique landscape of the Geeserstroomgebied; and Mantingerzand, with juniper bushes. The "Bronze Bucket", which has emerged in the Es of Meppen during an excavation, dates from the Bronze Age, providing evidence that this area was an attractive place to live in even in the past. This landmark has given the park its name, being adjacent to the village of Meppen which contains typical thatched-roof farms and large oak trees. Therefore this is a quiet and green area. Not surprising the park is popular with hikers, cyclists, horseback riders, athletes, drivers, active seniors, nature lovers and those seeking a bit of peace and quiet. The beautiful detached Finnish bungalows of the park lie at the edge of the forest. The bungalows have a veranda on the sunny south side and a large garden with outdoor furniture. Because of their location, they offer lots of tranquility and privacy, while the extensive facilities of the park are still close by. The expanded facilities include: swimming pools, sauna, sports field, beach volleyball, all-weather tennis court, boules court, trampoline, sand drifts, various playing fields, car wash, internet option, bicycle rental and a recreation room (plus grazing deer!). The indoor swimming pool, 10 by 20 meters, has a water temperature of 28 °C. The baby pool has a higher water temperature. In sunny weather the sliding glass doors of the pool can be slid open and you have access to the beautiful sun lawn. When the weather allows it the outdoor paddling pool is also open. In the recreation room you’ll find a variety of games like table tennis and football, darts, air hockey and a large screen for video, TV and major sports events. There is something for everyone here, no one will be bored! In the winter months the bungalow is a lovely place to spend your holidays with family and/or friends. When there is snow, cross-country skiing through the beautiful Mepperdennen is possible.

The indoor pool and baby pool are open from late April until te end of September.
The restaurant is open throughout the year. The opening hours depend on the occupation of the vacation park.



The bungalow has a large living room with fireplace, sitting area, dining table, dining chairs, bar and open kitchen. The bungalow is of course fully furnished and equipped (kitchen with dishwasher). The bungalow has a satellite TV, DVD player and a radio / CD combination. There are three bedrooms; two large bedrooms with double beds, wardrobe and sink, and a bedroom with a bunk bed and 1 single bed. The bathroom has a bath and shower (in the tub) and a sink. There is a separate toilet. There is a storage room and a large hallway with a spacious dressing / pantry. Next to the stove, there is hot air heating system. The bungalow has a porch on the south part and a large garden with outdoor furniture. You can park your car in the driveway next to the bungalow.

Two further changes in the conditions:
- The bungalow is pet free!
- The bungalow is equipped with free WiFi.

You have free use of the large indoor pool (10 x 20 m) here from April until Sept. The 28⁰C water is wonderfully relaxing and children can have fun with the various play equipment. Next to the pool there is a Finnish bungalow which has a sauna, plunge pool and solarium. You can use this space as a family, group or completely private, even in winter. From the sauna there is a private entrance to the pool. For the May, Ascension and Pentecost holidays plus during the high season there is a recreation team present which organizes activities for people of all ages. A selection of the activities that take place: lantern parade, campfires, crafts for children, full day programs and sporting events for adults, kids disco, schatertheater, tents, games and exciting evening ghost tours. The possibilities outside the park are numerous. Horse lovers can visit the nearby riding school which has a large indoor and an outdoor arena. And speaking of sports: in the vicinity you will find several golf courses. The bungalow park is a good place to relax, go for a walk, cycle or enjoy the beautiful surroundings from the back of a horse. There is a network of bridle paths. You can ride along the Mantingerzand nature reserve, through forests, megaliths, moors with herds of sheep and the ancient villages of Meppen and Gees with its sculptures, Old Aalden, museums and restaurants. Are you in the mood for something else? Then you can visit the zoo in Emmen, the open air museum in Schoonoord, the Assen traffic park or the Orvelte museum. Modern cities like Assen and Emmen are close by and offer a delightful day of shopping. At the Provincial Museum you can even see the original bronze bucket. In short: In Drenthe everything is possible!



- Renters under the age of 21 will not be admitted in the park.
- Employees are not allowed in the park.
- Bed linen can be ordered. You have to bring your own towels and kitchen linen.
- Children bed on request (free of charge).
- The restaurant is open the whole year round. The opening hours depend on the occupation of the vacation park.
- The swimming pools are opened from the end of April until the end of September.
- Sauna, solarium and tennis court against payment.
- Free Wi-fi internet in the lobby, not in the bungalows.
- Water and Electricity are included. The costs for gas (0.68 euro/m3) will be deducted from the deposit at the end of your stay.
- Coins for the laundry can be obtained at the reception. The prices are approximately (per load): washing machine 5 euro and dryer and centrifuge 2 euro (ironing free of charge).
