The professionalism and the friendliness we were greeted with. The quality and layout of the property were so well done.

Fantastic property for a first stop after a long flight.
What's is the point of having two swiming pools if they are not heated? It would be a small investment (heat pump) and it would make a huge difference...

Breakfast was average. Breakfast was not cozy

The location was stunning, albeit via a rollercoaster road (made worse by the rains), 9km off the main road. Check in was easy, reception helpful & friendly, and our room No.1 was super large with wonderful views from the terrace. We were just in time for complimentary tea & cake in the main restaurant, which was great as it was my birthday! Again more wonderful views from the terraces surrounding the main restaurant/bar. Dinner was delicious, the wine was reasonable and a beautiful orange African sunset had us at 'WoW'!! As we were only staying for one night, I booked a couple of treatments - an Indian head massage, which I found to be very rough and a manicure, which had to be redone the next day as the nail product wasn't very good. There were lots of other treatments available but only one member of staff that afternoon/evening, so my partner booked his for the following day. There are 2 x great pools, the indoor one was a natural mineral bath and was lovely and warm, the outdoor, unheated, but with fab views from all the loungers set up around it. Game drives were available from the resort, but as we had done quite a few already and it was just the Plains animals, we gave it a miss. As our flight wasn't until 8pm in the evening, we had hoped for a late checkout, which they couldn't do, but we were free to use all the facilities until we left. Overall a super place to stay for our last night and not too far from Windhoek airport.
The road leading to the resort was pretty bad and seemed to go on forever - we were in a little Polo, so it was quite a hairy ride, but once we got there it was all forgotten. There were no sun umbrellas on the terraces surrounding the restaurant (as it was too windy??) which was a shame as it was too hot to sit out there in the full sun. More Wellness staff on hand.

The view from the room was amazing.
The details on the bed for our honeymoon were great.
All the staff was super nice !
We should have arrived earlier to enjoy longer.

Incredibly spectacular view and location. Superb drive in to the lodge along the Auas mountains, lots of wildlife.
Pick-up from the bottom of the hill didn't show up for 15 minutes while we waited in the rain so we drove up ourselves instead. Rooms are huge but not actually that convenient, enormous bath-tub in the floor with a shower over it. Mainly all the windows are sealed shut and you can't open them easily for an unencumbered view or fresh air, and you'd want easy access onto a balcony to soak in the great view. Dinner is fine but unspectacular, service is OK but uninspired, everything is ALMOST good/great but just falls short, difficult to explain what it is exactly, it feels like there is no owner. It feels a bit unkind to write this as the staff were all very friendly and kind - but it is what it is.
