Een paar heerlijke dagen, op een prachtige locatie in het hart van de stad

De locatie, aan de Grote Markt, dus in hartje stad. Onze kamer was aan de voorkant van het hotel, maar is heel goed geïsoleerd voor wat betreft het geluid. Het hotel is heel mooi ingericht en heeft een gezellige authentieke sfeer.

Excellent value-for-money and a vey welcoming place to stay

Excellent center-of-town location, very friendly accommodating staff - will stay at hotel again if given the opportunity. Little things made the difference - friendly reception and staff, clean room (with welcoming note), complimentary drinks, access to coffee and tea, a warm fireplace (even in July!) and frankly good value for money, meant we had a very pleasant stay.

Overall, the hotel might look a bit "dated"; however, we rather experienced it as cosy & comfortable and the staff's positive attitude more than made up for any detracting aspects.

Een prettig verblijf midden in het centrum van Groningen.

De ligging. Het prachtige donkerbruine houten ouderwetse, statige interieur. De ruime kamer en badkamer. Het vriendelijke personeel. De extraatjes van welkomstdrankjes, koffie, thee e.d. Parkeergarage Forum naast de deur.

De airco die nog niet aangesloten was. Erg warme kamer. Weinig mogelijkheid om een raam open te zetten. Bovendien was er een grote kermis voor de deur. De douche die je in je hand moet houden en je hebt ook al je eigen doucheschuim in de hand 😉.

Ich würde immer wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten, wenn ich in Groningen bin.

Optimale Lage, außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal am Empfang, Gastronomie. Kostenfreier Kaffee / Tee in der Lobby, super Frühstück, sogar draußen auf dem Balkon möglich!

Sfeervol hotel, Franse uitstraling, vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk ontbijt. Een echte aanrader!

De locatie was perfect en het personeel was zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. De eenpersoons kamers zijn klein, maar verder prima. Mooie, ruime badkamer. Het ontbijt was fantastisch en er werd ook goed gezorgd voor mijn collega die strikt glutenvrij moet eten!

De entree is niet ideaal (gevaarlijke trap). Verder was de kamer erg warm, zelfs met het raam open en de radiator uit.

Fijn verblijf direct aan de Grote Markt. Ontbijt kan beter met kleine aanpassing.

Fijne locatie aan de Grote Markt in de stad Groningen, gezellige lounge. Heel aardig en behulpzaam personeel.

Ontbijt was op zich vrij uitgebreid. Maar, spek en roerei vlak naast vegetarische gerechten. Spek met hetzelfde bestek opgeschept als de pannekoekjes. Roerei met hetzelfde als de bonen. Stukjes roerei in de bonen. Voor vegetariërs zeer onprettig.

De douche, circa om de 1.5 min. komt er plotseling een paar seconden een golf zeer heet water tussendoor. Daarna is ingestelde temperatuur wat lager dan ingesteld en pas naeen aantal seconden weer normaal waarna het binnen 1.5 min. weer opnieuw seinden

Very intense cold ans noisy stay. (friendly staff)

De kamer was koud en de lakens waren klam/koud, intens koud. Benen werden niet warm. in de nacht. De radiator was blijkbaar net aangezet maar die was klein en verwarmde de lucht bij het plafond. Ook in de douche, zelden zulke koude stenen vloeren mee gemaakt. het was de derde verdieping De gang een verdieping lager was al minder koud, beneden had het personeel geen last; Ik klaag niet snel hoor. What did you like: beneden is het gezellig. daarvan kan je , koud zijnde , niet erg genieten. Verder de eerste nacht met name zat er geen pauze in het gedreun van de bassen van muziek van buiten, ik weet dat het een druk plein is maar als je om 4 uur en om 5 uur nog steeds hard gedreun hoort, dat is niet leuk

Not 100% comfortable but you are staying in the historic building in the heart of the old city

Gorgeous old hotel, one feels awe staying in this historic building in the center of old Groningen.

Unfortunately the room was very hot and the fan that was provided only partially improved the situation. It was also quite noisy due to the location in the central square. As the city was welcoming its new students this week, there was loud music outside late into the night. However, apparently that is only the case in the second half of August, so I was just unlucky.

I liked the general atmosphere. Exceeded my expectation.

Hospitality was top-notch. The room was amazing. I liked the central location. I could walk to almost everywhere.

It was a bit noisy during the night, as the location was close to pubs and clubs.

Could do with a bit of an update. The room was a bit old fashioned and there was mould in the bathroom ceiling.

Awesome hotel with just little improvements to do

The atmosphere, staff, room and the salon/breakfast area.

The silicone of the shower has to be renewed as it was very moldy.

Continental breakfast was good

I had diner in the hotel in the evening. I ‘ M sorry to say that for the first time of my life I had to send back the steak. Instead I had pork that was good and I got a drink of the house

A really special location. Of course, Monday was quite good and nice, due to the bars nearby were closed. However, Tuesday night was quite exceptional... Always free coffee at the bar solved it 😉.
