We loved it from start to finish!

Staff lovely & very helpful. The grounds were beautiful & very relaxing - we loved having breakfast in the garden and looking out over the lemon grove. Shuttle bus service was great.

Just a suggestion to make things even better would be to have tea/coffee sachets & some small pots of milk in the room.

Absolutely wonderful. Stunning views. Welcoming staff.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Very helpful in getting us around and providing advice on tourist travel. The free shuttle was a real bonus. Breakfast on the lawn was a great start to the day. The cakes were amazing.

I enjoyed my stay at Villa Giovanna, and will recommend it to my friends

I stayed in a junior suite, and it was very large and comfortable. It had a fantastic balcony and great shower, and a comfortable bed

Not really anything. The shuttle service was good but I really wish it had gone every hour or every hour and a half. I had an excursion at 15:00 one afternoon I needed to be in the city center and I had to go at 12 o’clock because the next shuttle was at 15:00. The pool was small.

My family and I could not have asked for a more comfortable and friendly accommodation for our four nights in Sorrento. Miss Laura, Giuseppe, and the entire staff were so thoughtful and sweet. Giuseppe is also an excellent bartender. Ask him for the limoncello spritz! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, the room had a gorgeous view, a comfortable bed, and was larger than we expected. Viewing the beautiful Amalfi Coast sunset from the plunge pool was peaceful. We could not have asked for a more relaxing stay. Mille grazi!

We loved this amazing relaxing villa. They make a beautiful breakfast spread and a delicious lemon spritz. The complimentary shuttle is fantastic. Gets you in and out of town multiple times a day.

fantastic stay overall, beautiful property with excellent staff and attention.

beautiful property with gardens and views. the staff was excellent! very accomplished and friendly, shuttle service into town was terrific. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety. the in house chef Ricardo was terrific and Laura in the front office was delightful to work with.

we had some difficulty with the hot water on occasion and the shower in the family room was very small, overall bathroom was huge, just the actual shower was quite small.

Quiet, calm and beautiful place to stay.

The interesting gardens on many levels. The quiet location. Being able to use the hotel next doors pool also and being able to eat there. The shuttle bus was brilliant and the breakfast was lovely and served in the garden.

Gorgeous villa in the hills

Stunning views over Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The villa's gardens and surroundings are gorgeous. Breakfasts were excellent. The room was lovely. The shuttle bus to and from the villa to the town was excellent and so convenient.

The weather wasn't the best but can't blame anyone for that. No other complaints.

We had an excellent stay at Villa Giovanna, we would definetely recommend it to others. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is good, away from the crowded places. The breakfast is excellent, with a lovely view from the garden. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful location, comfortable room, and extremely friendly and accommodating staff, 10/10

One of the best places I've ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The resort itself was so pretty and the room was very comfortable. There were so many places to sit and look out over the view. They provide a shuttle service up and down the hill which was incredibly convenient. They also have a full buffet breakfast. Absolutely worth the price, I'd definitely stay here again. Thank you so much!!!

we loved everything about villa giovanna. From the views to the friendly staff, to the beautiful setting, the delicious breakfast, and everything in between. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place, that’s 10 minutes away from the centre of Sorrento, this is the place for you. Thank you to Laura and the team!

One of the best possible ways to experience Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.

Just about everything. The hotel staff was incredibly attentive, caring and thoughtful, the hotel grounds and facilities were so beautiful, the service was extremely thorough, and Villa Giovanna put every little finishing touch they could on the experience - from making accomodations for vegan-friendly breakfasts, free refreshments and cappucino whenever we wanted, to driving their hotel guests to and from Sorrento for free on a daily basis.

There were some minor issues with the shower - water pressure was very low, and there was occasionally no warm water - and the mini-frigde barely produced any cold. But honestly, none of this marred the wonderful experience at Villa Giovanna even in the slighest.

There may be better places for the less money.

The overall place is nice, there was parking, it was easy to find and the staff was nice. Laura is pleasant and nice. she helped us make reservation for a good restaurant.

We made a reservation for a large room of 20 m with a large bed , with view, and all the amenities. Other then the suite, it was the most expensive room. (200EU). When we arrived, we were allowed to choose between a large room for 4 people and NO VIEW or a very small room with view. We took the 2nd one since we wanted to have the view. However, the room was very small, about 12 m including the shower. The bed was small and on wheels. No desk, no place to put the suitcases, no phone (we needed to call the reception.), no headset in the shower. It was too late, and we needed a place to stay so we took it. In the morning, the light in the shower didn’t work and there was no hot water.!! When we complained in the morning that the room is not what we paid for and it is not as shown in the pictures, Laura apologized and gave us a refund of 50 EU. ( nice but was NOT sufficient in my opinion). Other than that, the overall place is nice, there was parking, it was easy to find and the staff was nice. overall, we were disappointed.

I Would love to return to this gem!

Villa Giovanna was a wonderful, quiet retreat for a night. Located above Sorrento it offers beautiful tropical grounds and a stunning view. From the moment we parked The staff are amazing, warm and welcoming!!! The shuttle service back and forth from town is perfect. I wish we had more time to spend at this wonderful getaway. I highly recommend it!

Love Laura!!!😜. Breakfast was amazing!! If you don't speak Italian, just say complete breakfast, you will be taken care of. You can bus it to the city center or just walk down..

High recomendation to staff and atmosphere. Food and hospitality well worth the visit. Great views

Staff fabulous and so accomodating. Breakfast good choices and the little almond cakes home made a joy to eat. The shuttle service outstanding and very welcome.

The bed was rather to hard for us and needed better pillows. But generally we slept. Noisy dog but thats life. The sewage system tends to back floe oudours in the bathroom. But again old buildings cannot help it.

Our stay was at the end of our 2 week whirlwind trip through Italy. It was just what we needed cozy, private and relaxin

Felt like a secluded bed and breakfast, nice views and landscape.

A bit out of town but shuttle service mitigates this.

It was so relaxing and quiet. shuttle bus was great and flexible times . Room was so clean and spacious . Breakfast was delicious.

The description of Villa Giovanna I read online was exactly what we found when we arrived. Our room overlooked the water, which was beautiful. Laura and the staff were great. Breakfast was nice and just what you need to start your day. Although a bit of a walk to center of town, the shuttle was top shelf and immaculately clean. And, the times worked perfectly for us for drop-off or pickup.

I liked everything about Villa Giovanna. My only wish is that I had more time in Sorrento, where I could have extended my stay to enjoy more of what the property offers.
