The friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the surroundings. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, but perhaps extra spare pillows would be helpful
The coffee at breakfast was slow, almost 40 min and the order was mixed up. However, we still enjoyed the meal and the staff.

A acomodação de um modo geral é maravilhosa . Linda e confortável com funcionários gentis
As amenities como o creme corporal estavam utilizadas e não foram substituídas

Breakfast was superb - service excellent - ambience perfect - view phenomal
Room great - only challenge was the very slow drainage of basins and one of the basin plugs getting stuck.
Room - pillows very exceptionally soft and flat. We did ask for "better pillows" on night 2 of our stay.
This was probably my 5th stay at ASARA over the last few years - it is clear that there's been a drastic improvement in the "complete operation", attention to detail, level of service and look and feel of/at ASARA. Congratulations!!!
Absolutely nothing

The staff were exceptionally helpful, the grounds and area were stunning and all rooms built to offer the customers a view.
The peace and tranquility were very welcome
The spa was currently out of service so we could not use it.
The quality of the breakfast food could be somewhat better too

The property is gorgeous, the food is incredible.
We had several room challenges. We had plumbing problems in our first room and our ordered 2 beds. When we arrived (very late) we had to wait for the room to be made according to what we ordered. this was a problem as I was traveling with a colleague. We were accommodated only to awaken to an awful smell and water that backed up from the shower. We were moved to a gorgeous room, but when I woke up on Monday morning there were ants all over my toiletries and in my sink.

our stay in Asara was so disappointing.
1-
It start with the e-mail confirmation -
At the email they wrote all of our credit card info, we asked them to delete it because it's not safe that all of our details are online. And when we arrive we were surprised to see that they printed the email with our credit card number although we ask to delete it.
2-
We asked for laundry service.
We had maybe 3kg of laundry. When we got our laundry back we where shocked to find out that they charged us - 2,690 rand (!!!!!), 150 us dollars (!!!!!)
We thought that it must be a mistake, it's not reasonable to pay for few t-shirts and socks almost the same amount as night in the hotel.
3. The pool.....
We went to use the pool and the water was so dirty and murky, needless to say that we didn't enter - We didn't want to take a health risk.
Very disappointing that we paid for facilities that couldn't
Be used.
So for conclusion,
We couldn't celebrate our honeymoon in Asara in a proper way.
When we tried to talk to managers we got no solution for our issues.
Not recommend.

location, views, rooms and hospitality of the two guys handling the luggage. they were very supportive and kind! We had dinner in the restaurant, which was good value for money.
The lady at reception was bit arrogant, but despite that we enjoyed our stay!

amazing scenery, quiet, very serene, great service and facility, a place where you can really switch off and relax. very good wine, and good food at the 2 restaurants.
possibly have more options for food, snacks.

The view was beautiful and it was close enough to the town of Stellenbosch to enjoy what the town has to offer yet still enjoy the peace of the country side.
There are some maintenance issues that need attending.

location
setting
no cushions on beds by the pool
no tables by beds at the pool
bland bedrooms/poor paint finish on doors and windows

The location and views are just about the only good things about this hotel.
This hotel is definitely not 5-star nor worth the price. We got to the hotel and had to wait an hour for our room, even though it was 7pm. When we got allocated a room, the bedding was completely wet so we had to get moved an hour later to another room. In the new room there were so many mosquitos and all the hotel could provide was Doom. We had also asked for a bathroom with a door, but was given an open bathroom - this didnt work for us as the 2 persons sharing were not related. The breakfast spread was terrible, and menu suggestions below average. The breakfast staff were very unfriendly. The lunch salad was gastly, and I left half of it. Plus lastly the hotel charged me 3.5% of the fee because I used my AMEX card! Will never return, SPIER is so much better!

the location and views
staff weren’t accommodating for people with disabilities, lack of transparency with booking about access which made it hard and meant we had to upgrade our room

Wonderful resort in great location with fantastic views over the mountains. Our room was very nice, the staff very friendly, quality of food and wine very good, in particular the dinner at Raphaels (fine dining restaurant) was excellent. Try the Red Asara Bordeaux "Tower Bell", what a great wine. On our last day we had a wonderful massage at the Spa. Would always come back and recommend this place to friends.
We were there the week before x-mas and the resort was very emty. Therefore breakfast buffet was not available but everything could be ordered. In the end a little less choice than on a normal buffet. At dinner, we were the last ones in the restaurant at 20.30 and also the bar was closing early. It would have been nice to sit outside in this great surrounding and enjoy the wonderful wine on a warm summer evening even after 21.30.

It was quiet, Warm, Organised. I didn’t have to call and ask for anything everything was in the room. We managed to have our quiet time. It was also very close to the airport. Everyone made our stay easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was awesome especially the pizza, I really loved it.
Nothing.
