Breakfast was lovely the setting was lovely
The bed wasn’t comfortable it was very high up and being short I had trouble getting in and out and the Bath/ shower could have done with some hand holds as I’m a bit wobbly on my feet it made showering difficult

Firstly thankyou for the email preparing us for a tight turn into the car park and steep steps from the first to second floor. That was so honest and so helpful. Great bed, lovely linen, brilliant food, smashing bath - noisy plumbing bringing water, eventually, to the cold tap
We were given such a good idea of the hotel before we went there wasn’t anything to dislike, the plumbing needs a little work, but the building is old - and characterful - the same as me. And I make odd noises too

I love this hotel and will continue to return
I had room 10 this visit and found the shower room quite dangerous to get in and get out !!!!
so i would ask for room 8 next time.

The location was good.
The room was boiling couldn’t use the air conditioning lower than 19 degrees it sounded like a jumbo jet taking off couldn’t hear the TV.

Quirky character, good food and friendly staff.
Air conditioning needed instructions as it was only partially successful in cooling room.

Large room with comfy bed. Excellent breakfast. Handy on site parking in the middle of the town.
Windy, uneven stairs (although alternative route to 2nd floor was better)

Quirky, historic room reached by crooked staircase. Comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. A nice town-centre location, close to the riverside meadows.
Breakfast was only average (and coffee was weak), but good enough. Everything else was good.

Great food and breakfast. Pub and bar downstairs is thriving with good quality food.
Rooms are a little tired but perfectly functional. Bathrooms appears to have been updated fairly recently. All nice and clean.

The room was clean and warm, the staff were attentive and friendly . The breakfast menu had a good selection and the full english was lovely. We booked a meal on our first evening, and found the food excellent with a good choice.
Our room was on the road side and was a little noisy until the traffic died down but it didn't really stop us from sleeping well.
