Separate bedroom area away from bar to avoid noise. Comfy bed and friendly staff. Plenty of parking on site. Hair dryer and fridge is a nice addition. Didn’t use the other facilities as I was in late and out early with work.
Cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch - false eyelash found on bathroom floor & cigarette filter wrappers on floor. Also a vape from a previous tennant was left in the room.
Music on the lawn until gone 10pm was a bit poor especially as it ads nothing to the experience, is a bit strange and also can be heard through the windows which isn’t great when you want an early night.
Breakfast was quite low quality - I ordered scrambled eggs and sausages - the eggs were microwaved - you could hear them squeaking as they were cooling down on the plate and the plate was super hot to touch. The sausages were low quality and dry. Didn’t end up eating the breakfast and went elsewhere for food. Porridge or vegan options would be nice - something healthy apart from the cereal and toast. Breakfast isn’t worth the cost - premier inn breakfast is better.
Sadly wouldn’t stay again as of these issues.

Location
Very dated in places, carpets warn and marked, bathroom in poor state of repair, bed sheets did not fit the bed, quality of quilt and pillows were poor, most budget hotels provide better. Standard of cleanliness was not great and you would have been able to write your name in the dust on the beams.

Location was nice
Upgraded to a superior room but it was very standard, should never have upgraded. Room was very standard and bed was broken which made you nearly roll off it.
Our window was very near storage, on the morning there were workers talking loudly, no chance of a lay in even if we wanted to! Staff very unorganised, no one actually welcomed you when book in- considering we paid £100+ for the night. Did not purchase breakfast- ordered 2 coffees on morning of departure which took over 10 minutes to make, that was after we found a member of staff to serve us. We travelled down the road to a local farm for breakfast which was lovely. Disappointing stay at The Limes, wouldn’t recommend, not value for money.

Staff were lovely, room was pleasant enough. Reasonable price.
Wedding downstairs was loud and music made it difficult to sleep. Room was rather hot even with the heating off and the windows open. View from the room was poor - service equipment and a roof. Towel rack was switched on and extremely hot, no way to turn it off. TV signal was not strong enough to watch anything. WiFi signal was not strong enough to use. Decor is a little dated and in need of refreshing. Poor sound insulation between rooms, you hear everything! No electronic or card access, old fashioned key with a very large fob. Bed not particularly comfortable. Breakfast starts quite late on a Sunday (8:30am), no breakfast menu so you're not sure what's available.

The staff went out of their way to please us
End of evening security rocko name was so aggressive to us telling us in no uncertain terms he wanted to go home so we had to leave he spoilt what was a great evening he should never be employed anywhere in my opinion

Excellent fresh cooked breakfast
I would prefer a bath as opposed to a shower, although I did not specify this at the time of booking

Breakfast was nice, lovely setting and grounds. The staff were friendly.
Decor in bedroom tired, carpet stained and needed a good vac, bedside table chipped and tatty, headboard dirty and lamp stained. Fridge filthy. Only one bedside table and lamp. Very noisy due to wedding, so much so, the floor vibrated.

Looked beautiful the setting was lovely and the outside area was so relaxing to sit and enjoy.
The rooms were old and needed updating or work doing to it as we had a hole in our wall next to a plug socket and we had a toddler with us so had to keep an eye she didnt go near it, the tv was old and hardly worked and the remote had seen better days. The beds were really uncomfortable, the food wasn't good i dont think was worth the cost at all

Good selection for breakfast, room clean, tidy and coffee/tea provided.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Outdoor music on arrival was very calming.
Wasp season; my husband got stung by one of the many wasps in the car park.

Great hotel, fantastic communicative staff, top breakfast

The location is good for visiting Birmingham and south in to Worcestershire. The hotel is nice, the rooms are a good size, with a comfy bed and they are not the standard box that you get in new hotels. There are some nice grounds to sit in. Idid not arrive until late so I did not have a meal, but, in the morning breakfast was good with friendly staff.
For me, nothing

Evening meal was nice and staff were lovely
Too many stains on chairs in the restaurant the music outside went on for too long and maybe more attention to detail
3.9
Staff amazing and supportive
Love the abundance of coffee/milk so you don't have to keep asking.
Great soap and toiletries
Wonderful food - all fresh.
Lovely garden and chairs.
Good parking
Variations in rooms means you don't always know what you're getting. Few tweaks to creating consistency in bedding, pillows would be good.
Not big on music outdoors, but perhaps that just depends on my mood at the time. I like quiet or the option.
Can take a little while to order dinner, but worth the wait as it is fresh.

Easy to find as it’s just a few minutes from the M42. Reasonable menu. Great staff. Excellent lager. Wedding was well catered. Really enjoyed the breakfast.
The piped music that was on loop. It contributed to our decision to leave a day early. Very intrusive and monotonous after the fourth time of hearing. One of the ladies toilets had excrement stuck on it for over 24 hours.

Excellent modern room and good size lovely outlook, nice anything you wanted breakfast except no fish ie salon / kipper , dinner very nice but served on a cold plate ! otherwise would have been perfect.
Nothing, only the cold plate

I wanted a hotel near Solihull. This hotel is miles away. I thought it would be a few minutes drive. Its more like 30+ minutes.

The Limes is set in a rural location. Conveniently located for Solihull and Birmingham, the M42 is a short drive away. The hotel itself is nicely set out. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are well cared for, I spent half an hour after breakfast watching the fountain, whilst cool jazz was playing through an outside garden speaker. My room was clean, the bathroom likewise. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant / Bistro bar has a nice menu selection. The food was plentiful, nicely cooked, and well presented.
Nit picking... the number of high power, exhaust blowing vehicles that come past between 7am and 10am. The road opposite leads to the motorway, eventually, and is clearly a shortcut. So whilst I enjoyed watching the fountain, it was frequently spoilt by the uncultured exhausts that people in the area seem to favour.

beautiful area and well placed for travelling around the local points of interest
Food in the restaurant was mixed - the meat and sauces were really good, but then the accompanying veg was bland - seemed a bit like those “microwave bags of veg”. Good for the price, lunch was very tasty. the rooms were quite clean, but a little rough around the edges - paint peeling in one corner of the room, and our bedsheet had a rip in it. Overall just needs a little touching up in places, but generally very nice and clean.

I speak on behalf of pat and Kate carton.pat suffers sight problems as well as memory recall but both were very happy with service provided. Staff warm and welcoming.
Because of pat's problems he was confused by outside light over door and lost track of where he was in room. Only an issue because of his medical condition I think but Kate had to keep close eye on him. Thank you.

The staff were great ,especially the lady who does the morning breakfast etc ,works hard , super helpful and very polite,10/10
Wifi was slow to non extinction in rooms 16/20 and unable to use Sky G4, totally cut off with no signal available,

Breakfast
Nowhere to sit in the room - just one uncomfortable stool.

my room and bed were very comfortable. I went to the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, the food was very good and well presented. I would definitely stay again.
