The spa was lovely and the gym had lots of equipment x
The £100 the hotel required on arrival and was returned when leaving the hotel, I wasn’t aware of this, I just thought they needed my card so they had my details.

The staff were friendly and the room was well equipped. The spa was a great add on!
The mattresses could be comfier/better and a fan would have been great as the room was quite warm.

all went well
dated rooms
2.0
The communal areas of the building were beautiful, the grounds were stunning. The massage treatment rooms and staff were incredible.
The rooms are tired and dated, ours had mismatched wallpaper and tiles where it had been "fixed". The main door didn't shut properly and had to be coaxed to close.
We went for breakfast at 9.30, but weren't served breakfast until after 10.20, along with numerous other guests. Even then it was cold.
We went to use the pool and was told "You have half an hour, we are closing." So we rushed to be out by 4pm, when we we went to return the locker key the staff member said "oh we are staying open now, you can stay longer".
It felt a lot like staff just didn't want the hassle of guests being around.

Hotel is set in lovely gardens. Staff are friendly. Room good size and clean. Breakfast lovely.
Hotel needs a refurb especially carpet areas as they are worn and some trip hazards. I really like this Hotel though even for its negatives, its homely and has a nice feel to it

Our room was good. Decent bathroom, comfy beds. The food we had was delicious and a special mention for the staff, especially reception, who went above and beyond to help us with any information or extra pillows, towels etc. Great breakfast with plenty choices.
There was no bedside table at my side of the bed, only a minor thing but always helpful when charging phone, for a glass of water etc.

Not to my standard.
Room very dated. Taken 15 for shower to heat up.
Dripping leak outside rooms all night long.

Bed super cosy. Terrace . Diversity of sitting places for socializing. Decor in the hall. Very cosy bar, very nice restaurant . Nice swimming pool and 2 jacuzzis.
The green grass .
TV no signal. Glenmorangie whisky 🥃 was on the drink list but not available.

Great location for m65, good breakfast, olde worlde, great grounds
Room replenishment a bit inconsistent
5.0
The hotel is in an excellent situation, and is well served by public transport to the town centre, and the reception lounge with its stained glass and leather couches remind you off hotels in there hey day of good surroundings. There is a history of the hotel on request, staff are helpful and attentive to your needs. Dinner is a varied menu but i chose the sweetcorn risotto
which was excellent in flavour. breakfast was part self service and cooked with again a varied choice.
Swimming and Spa sessions are available on request.
There were plenty of stairs going to your room and no lifts in the new extension, and the room signs can be confusing but once you use the pictures on the wall navigation can be easier.

The staff were lovely, and the bed was very comfy. They didn't get disturbed, which was peaceful
I'm very disappointed to have to say that our room was very dirty and the bathroom I have pictures and to be fair it wasn't excepable it was very dirty which is really shocking considering covid ect the bathroom hadn't even been wiped down nor the tables that people put there food ect on the kettle was mouldy and the toilet brush was rushed like it was there since the hotel first opened I mean they cost a pound or 2 that's disgusting how much germs
I emailed the hotel to complain and 4 days still not a reply or even apology
