Nice staff free parking outside and quite rooms nice pub downstairs

The Inn was in a convenient location for our 'passing through' purpose. Free roadside parking was an advantage. Bed was comfortable.
The room was at attic level, low and hot (middle of August).
3.5
Beautiful looking from the outside but as for my room complete opposite , worst night sleep ever the mattress was disgusting and had lumps everywhere
Not at all clean mattress protector had a burn mark in and as for the bed it’s self I wouldn’t let my dog sleep on it

The hotel is in a great location, just a 10-15 minute bus ride to the center of Brighton, and within walking distance of the beach. It's situated next to a scenic lagoon and a lovely park. While the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there's a charming café called Tiffany's right across the road, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast.
The noise from adjacent rooms and footsteps in the hallway can be heard from inside your room. Additionally, the hotel lacks a dedicated parking area, so guests must park on the street, which is free but limited to 4 hours.

It was a bed for the night. The night security guard was kind and helpful
Stood at reception c 5min’s waiting to check in .. a woman in and out of office that didn’t acknowledge me at all. The lady who did eventually check me in was very helpful. Room was noisy and warm. Faint smell of drainage in room/bed adjacent to bathroom when our loo or neighbouring room used bathroom. Mugs were not clean which is important when no breakfast and just want hot drink. Tried to get food at 20:05hrs .. whiteboard said food served till 9pm .. staff jovially advised no food .. stopped serving. For the money would stay at prem inn or travel lodge next time.

Location perfect for what we needed
We checked that we could have twin set up and not double and they told us yes all rooms can be done that way so I confirmed. We got double. Didn’t ask for change (maybe we should have) as only member of staff was hugely busy on check-in.
3.5
The main bar and good views
The uncomfortable mattress on the bed the very old lumpy pillows, two great big cobwebs over the curtain pole in the main bedroom extractor fan in the bathroom absolutely in dust filth above the toilet where it had a water leak from the room above and bitch falling off the ceiling and also the price of the food in the main bar £17 for a burger and chips. No we eat out for cheaper and better.
3.5
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and so unbelievably kind. They were always accommodating, and made me feel right at home. The small walk to the beach was definitely a bonus!
3.5
A very cozy hotel near the sea. There is a cafe nearby where you can eat delicious food. It's nice to walk along the beach in the morning.

I Have stayed at t he gather inn 5 times and will continue to try and stay there when im down in Brighton.
The staff are friendly and the food in the bar is excellent
great location for where im working
3.5
Room was very nice good bed good size room.
Unfortunately the water was not working properly so we couldn't shower. However having spoken to the manager this was resolved quickly and efficiently.
3.5
Very nice clean and new room
Only negatives are that they don't offer breakfast and there were three flights of very steep stairs to get to the rooms at the top of the building.
3.5
Staff were absolutely brilliant.
The curtains were too small for the window, super easy fix, c'mon. Add a fan to your rooms too, will make a big difference.

It was a lovely property. The staff were great.
Little bit too far although we do like walking my friend has have trouble with her feet. At night there was some sort of boiler or something was under our room don’t it was to do with pub it was very warm in our room.
3.5
Location, right on coast. A pub so easy to get drinks before & after our event.
Staff really friendly
Needs modernising

Pity no breakfast but great cafe opposite, great location for us anyway, parking if your lucky and all the staff were brilliant would go back again 😀
Parking hit and miss, and no on site breakfast but was aware of this beforehand

Staff were fantastic. Very helpful and friendly.

Extremely good for the price. The beds were comfy. The staff was amazing especially Olivia who helped with recommendations to do things in Brighton. It was a nice long walk to the main Brighton beach. The view of the sea from the small window was beautiful. TV had a lot of channels and had a kettle and instant coffee in the room.
3.5
Great location close by to family we were visiting. Parking on the front between certain times
Bit rough & ready,

The gather inn is perfectly situated for all aspects of the Brighton and Hove area and if you like a Dockland vista your in luck it’s got a great one
I’m not saying Becky on reception was anything but helpful. The dislikes are mostly limited to the rather cripton-factor’esk Wi-Fi signing in process that requires you to have the eyesight of a goshawk and the cunning of a fox, and the comedy mattresses, the latter could be easily solved as I notice a bed shop just up the road, I’ve popped in and done a deal (Alan sugar stylee) so I’m in-line for 4% commission. Every cloud.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Gather Inn was quiet and overlooking the seafront. 2.5 to miles into Brighton, and the time we spent there was sunny and very pleasant indeed. If you want a basic no frills place with friemdly staff and in a reasonable location The Gather Inn is well recommended.
No complaints at all.
3.5
Good price very basic but the price made it value for money. The staff were very nice and happy which makes a nice change these days. Food was great. The only thing I think they should change is the bed mattress it was very uncomfortable. I would stay again.

Staff friendly, view from room quite nice, only two flights of stairs, was quiet on our stay but you can hear people in and out using the night exit and stairs. Walk to Brighton Pier takes about 40 minutes but a nice stroll and lots to see. You can see watersports going on from the Hotel.
No-one around before 12noon. No breakfast available. Room very hot (a floor standing tower fan was provided but still too warm). Outside areas are run down and a little depressing. Towels were not great. 3 cafes nearby to get breakfast but one was closed Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday and the other one we went to was poor food. Another guest said hotel used to serve breakfast. Just feels a little run down and sad.

location and value was good
very noisy being next to the port. I was so itchy in the bed that I ended up trying to sleep on top of the duvet. I did not sleep well.
3.5
Had to ask for towel. Cups were dirty and still wet. Shower so tiny, I couldn’t bend to pick up shower gel on floor (no shelf for shower gel). No chair in room (for make up doing hair etc) overall very tired looking room and overpriced
3.5
The staff were lovely and the pub and food were great.
The room was clean and a great last minute planned stop over. There are a couple of very close options for breakfast too.
The mattress wasn’t the best as you could feel the springs and the sink and taps in the bathroom could do with replacing.
3.5
Nice comfortable room, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Often hotels have pillows are too high but these were good. No where to lock case up if you get there early though.
Could have somewhere secure to put case if you arrive early or need to leave it after you check out.
3.5
Friendly staff; easy check-in and check-out. Large bottle of hair and body wash - more environmentally friendly than lots of little bottles.
The water in the shower went from very hot to very cold at irregular intervals, for no reason.
Narrow hot drink options in the room - just basic tea and instant coffee. Herbal tea and/or hot chocolate would have been a nice addition.
3.5
Room small but clean with comfortable beds.
Thought the room would have been a little bigger.
3.5
Lovely property - great pub and simple rooms, that have most things you need for a stay.
There was a portable air con in the room which was a god send for the summer. The view of the Hove Lagoon was nice too.
Unfortunately the room we were in faced the lagoon, which was lovely however the road between us and the lagoon is a road that lorries and HGVs use to get to the industrial estate down the road. At night it is a little loud, but if your a deep sleeper like me it doesn’t keep you up all night.
