Location was lovely, grounds were very well kept. History of the castle was interesting. Room was a little small but had everything required for a comfortable stay. The full breakfast was very tasty.
Ordered eggs Benedict for breakfast but the poached eggs were hard and more like boiled - not to my taste unfortunately.

The ambiance of the room we stayed in made me feel like I was a a lord for a day. You could feel the history of the tower in every room and from the tower tour. The meals were great. My only regret is we only stayed one night.

Huge property to wander, quiet and great staff. The castle is great to explore. And the staff took us for a tour. Plenty of drinks and food to choose from after a walk and the breakfast was great! Our dog was given a bed and dish in our room which made her feel at home. Plenty of parking, absolutely lovely.

We stayed in one of the annexe rooms. They were comfortable, clean, and with the sofa area spacious.
The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Exceptional grounds and a beautiful place
Way over priced food however beautifully cooked and very tasty

The breakfast was lovely, a menu choice of full English, porridge, yoghurts, toast, eggs etc tea and coffee and fruit juices. Service was amazingly fast and attentive. Castle had history all around and walks within the grounds, Car parking was easy and accessible near to our room. Room was lovely with a teddy knight for that special touch. Bathroom was large and great shower. Adam was an asset to the hotel, took time to talk to us and made us feel very welcome.
On our first morning reception staff pointed us in direction of breakfast room and said just go in and find a tabl, We were quickly moved out of the main breakfast room by a waitress to the conservatory area at the back which was lovely and bright but made us feel uncomfortable as we were not staying in the castle we were in room 17, feel it would be more appropriate to allow guest to sit in either room.

Everything was perfect and the property is amazing. We especially liked the tour and history of the castle the next morning.
Nothing! Everything was fabulous.

The Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from made from quality ingredients.
The location is excellent, a wooded country setting with plenty of photo opportunities.
Bar prices were quite expensive but likely in line with other places in the area.

The location is beautiful and the historical tour is good too! Plus I always wanted to stay in a castle.
Unfortunately there had been some water damage happen just before our stay that was near our room. The smell of cleaning products to counter the smell of the water damage made it hard to sleep comfortably in our room due to the smell.

Beautiful setting. Staff were very friendly. On the whole breakfast was good. Room was very clean. Enjoyed tour of the castle. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the Pedro the peacock on the terrace.
The decor starting to show its age. There was peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The blinds did not fit the windows properly in the bathroom which left us feeling slightly exposed. The property would really benefit with having a spa.

From the minute we arrived, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The room was huge and the beds were SUPER comfortable. The fine dining was a fantastic experience and the food was outstanding, especially the desserts. You have got to try the 'after 8' dessert....it was phenomenal!!!
Can't find anything we didn't like.

What a beautiful castle! We absolutely LOVED the drawing room and the restaurant! The castle decor was amazing! The five-course meal in the restaurant was superb! I can easily see why it has won rosettes. The food was tastefully prepared and immaculately presented.
All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Lovely grounds plenty open space to go for walks not over crowded
Only blip was eggs were cold at breakfast but they changed them right away tv in room was rather small and only had a few sky channels and noise from room above was quite loud so if room 15 maybe do with sound proofing otherwise all good

I have wanted to visit Langley Castle Hotel for many years, having seen it briefly from the road on a previous trip to the area.
The castle is everything I had hoped it would be and more. The main evening menu looked to be expensive at first but the food was exceptionally good - worth every penny.
The weather ! But then it is on the Scottish Borders.

The mattress was why to soft for our liking.

This is a wow factor building, but we opted for a room in the courtyard block. The peafowl wandering about added to the ambiance and luckily kept quiet. The swallows also are at home here; it was lovely seeing them swooping in and out of their nests high up on the tower.
We had been in contact by email to book dinner, but the receptionist had no record of this. Luckily there was no problem fitting us in.

The location was stunning. Just wish it had been more than one night. Breakfast was great and the room was really nice.

Beautiful setting and lovely decor throughout the Castle. Ramparts tour was well done. Staff attentive and happy to provide help where needed.
Our room #10 in the L shaped building below the castle didn't actually have any view though advertised as a castle view, so check carefully before booking if you are after a view.
