Excellent location on a river with amazing view of the watermill at the property, one of the best restaurants in the region and the list of superlatives could continue. We are thankful for a wonderful stay at Casa da Nora

Dinner at the restaurant was excellent as well.
Having to carry bags up 2 flights of stairs!

A small hotel with a very popular restaurant. Well situated for day trips to the monasteries and the coast.
Offstreet parking in a pleasant pool area make for an enjoyable stay.
The bathroom in my room was a bit on the small side, but fully functional and the AC was a little finicky

Beautiful hotel. Stayed here for 3 nights whilst sorting out our daughter's wedding. Staff very friendly. The food in the restaurant is very good.

A gem. Everyone was absolutely lovely, the place has a wonderful location and very comfortable room. They even let us dine in the restaurant even though we arrived just a couple minutes before the kitchen closed. Everything was just very very lovely, very clean and well maintained.
Do book a table at the wonderful restaurant and ask for a room with view to the river/Nora. Magical!
Nothing.

The restaurant is amazing!
3.5
the swimming pool area and the sound of the river
the focus is clearly on the restaurant as the
hotel staff is busy serving the restaurant tables
while we need to wait to be attended for the
hotel. if you want to charge more than 100€ per
room, you should have a dedicated staff for the hotel
and not somebody from the restaurant to attend the guests from the hotel once he get free. very disappointing

Fantastic hotel & restaurant, clean/comfortable rooms, great air-conditioning, swimming pool, continental breakfast, superb value.
Not too much to do in Cortes, but close enough to Leiria for when you want the crowds. Cortes is lovely village, with a couple of Cafe choices across from the Hotel, but not much other choices for dining other than at the Hotel.

We do like the outside space and restaurant.
Well. After a long journey from Lisbon. We were all tired and hungry. We asked for a table outside but we were met with very aggressive response. We understood all was booked and we asked if we could have some nibbles and drinks by the pool. The answer was NO
It was my mom birthday and we felt very embarrassed with the all situation. The attitude of the most of the staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful and unprofessional. The waitress we were scared to asked anything…
I believe the management and the staff should help the clients because we don’t stay there for free and at the end of the day we are paying they salaries.

To be honest, we stayed here for the restaurant. that was truly amazing. wonderful food!
Considering the other reviews I guess we had bad luck being put up in an old room. it was extremely outdated, 2 of the blinds not working, bathroom looked and smelled old and moldy, floor was run down, half the lights not working. All together the garden room should not be in service in this state.
4.5
Great restaurant for lunch and evening meals, Nicely presented and ample breakfast in a seaprate room. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a top floor room with view over the river, which was very nice and well appointed.

Very comfortable room and amenities. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff.
A little difficult to find, even with Google Maps.

Great room with an amazing view and good areas. The place is really quiet and peaceful and it's near to the river.
The breakfast is really delicious and the staff it was really kind with us. Definitely a good place to come back again.

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The facilities were very good and the view in the morning to the river was stunning. The breakfast was amazing and we were made to feel like home - and that's something money cannot buy!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Very clean and spacey room. Outside, garden, swimming pool, square... so well maintained, beautiful and peaceful to be. Very good breakfast and dinner in restaurant very strongly recommend!!!
When we go back this will be for sure the hotel where we will stay again!!!
Nothing wrong...

The restaurant is truly incredible. Some of the best food we've eaten in Portugal. Location is very pretty, on the edge of a small river. Pool/garden area very peaceful and pretty. Nice option for covered outdoor dining right by the river. The hotel in general feels more like someone's very well-maintained home rather than a hotel. We stayed at the end of summer but it felt very cosy and are planning to come back in the winter.
Occasionally it took a small wait to get someone's attention as the reception wasn't always manned (but it's not really a traditional hotel in that sense).

Beautifully appointed with a lot of nice touches and excellent decore. The whole place has a great deal of character
Staff are very cold and lack any social interaction, especially the restaurant staff. Felt that were an interruption to their day rather feeling welcomed.

We really enjoyed our stay. With a car it is a very good place to visit Leira, Batalha and Fatima. We also recommend to eat at least once in the restaurant for lunch or dinner, this was absolutely delicious. The breakfast is includes in the price and fabulous. During our stay the weather was not very good, so we didn’t use the swimming pool, but on a hot day this must be great.
No really disadvantages
