I went to the hotel and the room that I booked was not available. I had to go to another hotel, 30 min walking, in the evening in a cold day, This is not serious.

location was good
we stayed on 1st floor - ground floor was bar / nightclub with music blaring through floor till 5.00AM
Room confirmed was for twin beds but only one room left with a double

The room was fairly clean but that is all!
Everything-it is extremely bad. It is above a bar that plays loud music until 5am! The shower was broken and only had very hot or ice cold water. It is also a fire hazard - a very old building that should be demolished- it is certainly not a hotel. They also inflated their rates because of a trade fair from €80 to €250 per night - there was nothing else available unfortunately. There were also bed bugs and we couldn’t wait to leave…1 night was an overstay! Simply horrid but the owners don’t care….

The outside of the building was cute and the older gentleman that checked us in was super nice.
The room wasn’t that clean, loud music and thin walls, dried blood on one of the blankets, no shampoo or bar soap, no way to plug tv and antenna in at the same time to even watch tv. We had rats in our room after we went to sleep. We could hear them in the walls which jolted us awake and then I set my phone to record and recorded them moving about our room. Any attempts to contact the property are not responded to. When they say check in is at 3 pm they mean it as no one shows up to the property until that time to check you in and no one is there when you check out.

We had a nice stay!

We choose the hotel because of the architecture and the pictures. cute room. It was clean.
The bed was very uncomfortable, the shower was broken, the tiles on the floor also broken and sinking, very hazardous, the radiators need maintanace, the place really needs a retrofit.
Maybe was my fault but I didn't know it was above pubs and bars. We slept but if you can sleep with noise, don't go. The party will go until 3am at least.

very nice staff

Great location for bars
Horrible room, very expensive for what we stayed in

Very good location close to everything: the old town, river, a fun pub area that is very lovely during the evening. We enjoyed the "old house" feel. Had the basics of everything.
Extremely loud due to the location right above a busy pub, although we didn't really mind too much. The carpets were extremely old and stained. We felt compelled to wear our shoes or slippers all the time.

quirky & in a great old part of town

too hot, no fan and bugs in the bathroom at night

Good stay, close loaction and excellent for local bars and restaurants. Owner was freindly and helpfull.

The room was big enough for two and it was fairly clean. The hotel was walking distance to the Main river, the market hall and shipping area.
The hotel was right in the middle of the bar scene and it was really noisy at night. The water in the shower went from cold to hot then switch back to cold without warning, and vice versa. Obviously they don't check the details because the bulb was missing in one of the lamps.

The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. Anything I needed help with, they were able to do so.
The hotel is in a great location for bars and restaurants but the noise travelled and was very loud up until 4am, so sleep was difficult. Also the rooms had no air conditioning, but I asked for a fan and was provided with one.

Location in night live area

Location is convenient to food.
It is located right with 4-5 bars surrounded. Lousiness and noise are never stopped until 5am in the morning.

Good location if you want to be in the middle of the Sachsenhausen district.
Door was locked and no one there when we arrived. Knocked on door and called a posted tel. no. trying to find out how to get in. After 20 minutes someone arrived but the check-in was straight from a Falty Towers episode. Hotel is shabby, looks likely hasn’t been updated in decades. WiFi in 3rd floor room was very weak. I was traveling with family on 2nd floor who said their WiFi was OK so I asked to switch rooms to the 2nd floor. The manager replied “Oh no, full, full, full!” which was hilarious because we only saw one other guest in the hotel. Bedding was clean though, so there’s that.

The best part was when I checked out!
It is not quiet. If you are looking for a peaceful place to sleep, don’t come here.
There is no hotel staff on site. You have to call them to check in and they arrive 15mins later to let you in. If it happens to be raining, good luck with that.
The entire place smells like a dusty old attic accompanied with stale cigarette smoke. The bed sheets and towels did not smell clean. I don’t think they were ever washed. The carpet is so old and dirty, you will regret walking barefoot.
The shower curtains were yellow stained. They don’t seem to care to replace them.
The place is awful and not a good way to start your intro to Germany.

Staff was very friendly.
The area is a drinking spot but the room was noisy on his own terms ( unknown equipment running during the night). Cleaning approximative.

Leaving
No reception.
The guy who gave me the key didn't speak good english.
Close to downtown but through not so crowded streets, specially at night.
No cleaning/breakfast "due covid"
Front door didn't close completely!!
Very noisy. You can hear people in other rooms and walking by in the streets. Now is low season and many bars are closed but in summer it must be impossible to sleep with all the bars open.
Cold bathroom even with the heat on. No shampoo or soap. Hot water in the shower only lasted a few minutes.
Old furniture. Old bed sheets (ragged)
No TV. There's a PC monitor with a remote but it didn't even work.
The guy told me I was alone in the whole building. On the second night some people arrived and started knocking at my door. They went to a room upstairs mine and I could hear them talking and with every step I could hear the floor creaking.
I didn't feel safe on the first 2 nights so I leaved even I had payed 3 nights. I'm used to travel alone but I never had a similar experience.
I was told to turn off the lights and the heat and leave the key next to the front door when I leave so I did just that.

it was a clean room
it was a cold room, we had to use two duvets each. We got breakfast included and all I could eat was a glass of orange juice and a muffin, only had cold food. we got handed ear plugs on arrival and got told it was for the noise outside which went on till 5am every night. Would not recommend

All ok.
The Heater was not working.

The room was cozy and clean, everything worked and the staff was nice
The windows face a square full of pubs and there is really a lot of noise (seriously A LOT) until 4am every night, even on week days. If you want an hotel in a peaceful location this is absolutely not it.

Great place for Couple or Solo travelers it's in heart of the bar central so keep in mind will be alittle noisy but still great location staff was nice I was even alojd to check in as early as 11am. I Will definitely stay here again.
No issues

It was a little bit loud outside when the street music bank started in the evening, it was not that loud but because i needed to do a exam the next day, the owners offer to give me a bigger and quieter room for free.
Thank you very much! Strongly recommend this hotel, very close to Bar and all kinds of restaurants.
