Das Kleine Hotel is a cute building on a quiet street.
The receptionist was wildly unhelpful during check in and the hotel's facilities and policies are nowhere near their cost level. I booked for 3 nights and they asked for the full payment in advance during my check in. my initial room reeked of cigarette smell so they said it was unfortunate but they could only offer me to stay in another building for one day and move back to the hotel for the next two. I needed and expected a clean comfortable room for 3 days as I traveled far to attend a wedding that weekend, so I said that their offer doesnt cover me or what I booked. They refused to return any of my money or offer me a better choice despite them falling short, and were not even polite. Only after I raised my voice and threatened to contact the manager did the receptionist manage to find another room that I could stay in for three days. This was a lower grade room in Das Kleine Hotel with a really sunk bed, but I understood at that point that there was no point in contacting the staff. The bed was unacceptable, the mattress was really soft and sunk in the middle, leaving no way to lie down with a straight back.. I am 28 and couldnt stay for more than a night because it hurt my back- so i moved to a friend's couch on the first morning as I was left with no money as well. This experience exhausted me and completely ruined my view of the town. I heard other hosts in town were also unreasonable and/or unaccomodating so maybe there's no hospitality culture. If you need to stay here, check your room before you pay!!!

Location. Bed was comfy.
Carpets on stairs a bit tatty.

Lovely staff, really friendly. Felt safe which was important as I was travelling alone.
The fan in my room was quite noisy but it was good to have a fan as the weather was so hot while I was there.

The hotel is in an ideal location close to some of the best restaurants in downtown. it is very quaint. The service was above and beyond and the staff, especially Mrs Kirschbaum and Mr Kapoor went out of there way often to help us in every way. Would highly recommend.

The property is very clean, very comfortable, very helpful staff, I was supposed to check in at 1500hrs but I arrived at 11:00 AM, but the prepared the room in 2 minutes for me.
The staff is so friendly and professional, being honest I have never been in a such a hotel before.

The room was okay. Yes, it was small, but that's what you can expect from the room called "Economy Single Room". The building is old, but beautiful from outside. Nothing super special, but still. How convenient is location depends on what is your purpose of visit. You need to take ~10-15 min bus ride to reach train station (bus stop very close to the hotel). So if you have to go in/out to Mainz, Frankfurt etc., you better choose better location closer to the train station or even not in Wiesbaden at all, because any travel takes time. If Wiesbaden town is your main purpose of visit, then location is very good for you. Surrounded area is quiet and beautiful. Lots of restaurants nearby, close to the shopping pedestrian area (~5 min walk). If you are on the budget, it is an OK option.
Since it's an old building there is some noise from wooden floor. Soundproofing might be better, I've heard people walking down the hall each morning and it disturbed my sleep a bit, but it depends on how close your room is to the floor entrance. My room was the first to the doors. Also I've heard water flushing from the up. So, in general soundproofing isn't the strong side here. There was no sounds from the outside though, however my windows were on the garden side, not street side, so I can't tell how it is if you have street windows, so be warned.

I arrived after midnight so I wrote the hotel for the possibility of a late check-in and the staff made everything very smooth! Thank you.

It's not our first time staying in the Hotel de France. The location is perfect!
Clean room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed, and great breakfast.
It was a surprise to see a newly renovated breakfast room, very cozy!
The suite was cold, in spite of the radiator being turned on. It took a total of 5 hours to warm the room.

The hotel staff was very pleasant. Location is also another plus point.
Everything was good, but guest used to stay long time in the small restaurant for breakfast

Very friendly staffs, variety in the breakfast buffet & nice atmosphere, in room: comfortable bed and pillows, sparkling clean, refrigerator, water kettle for making tea, good amenities, generous toiletries, working desk, enough wall plugs, lovely style of honeymoon suite with terrace. Elevator. Quite corners outdoor are available, of which are connected yet private. Parking space is available at other building (with charge). Good value for money. Good location.
No parking on premise.
Rubber seal at the corners of shower box could be changed.
Chair at working desk does not fit long working hours - tiny but okay. Guests rather stay and relax, not to work the whole day :-)
Anyway are understandable and does not reduce rating given. Will definitely come again when visit this city.

Nice location. Also, helpful and kind staff! Room was spacious and also the bath room was clean. The internet was fast, too - important if you work remotely. I like the design and building of the hotel. About a 30min walk from the train station. I didn't have breakfast there.
The heater was on when I arrived (November 20220. We have to save energy so it doesn't make a lot of sense to heat hotel rooms the entire day. Rooms are not too big, so they are easily heated once the heater is turned on. Please keep the heater on low levels to save energy. Instead, rather provide thicker blankets/duvet, so no need to keep the heater on at night.
