4.5
Situated in a lovely location with hiking trails right outside. Extremely comfortable room, accommodating of pets with nice touches like a blanket and water/food bowl. Amazing breakfast offering too.

Excellent experience, fourth times in this hotel at GaPa. I'll back, definitely.

Breakfast was delicious. Pool was a bonus. Quiet near rooms and halls.

Great family hotel! The pool was excellent and the breakfasts were fantastic!
2.5
The location : close to Eibsee and to Garmisch. The bus and train stations are VERY close and free with the hotel.
Food was canteen quality, the common place is not cosy, not enough sights on the outside/ mountains, too impersonal.

Perfect location, perfect view from the window. 1 minute walking from zugbahn. Very comfortable for skiing. Nice bright room, good tasty breakfast with variety of products.
Nice sauna and swimming pool.
At the arrival we were waiting for the keys of our room approx. 2 hours and received the keys almost at 5 pm (official check in time from 15 :00) and heard no excuse for late check in.
The receptionist orally did not say nothing about the possibility to get a guest card (valid for train) or where to keep our ski...
The room was "cleaned" every day , but actually we can not say what except the bed was done in the room (in 4 days noone even changed our towels), at the bathroom there wasn't any minimal bath equipment (except shampoo and hand gel).
If the hotel positions itself as a 4 star Hotel (with not a cheap price) then it shall follow some minimum 4 stars standards.

It was a great location. We did half board and enjoyed breakfast and dinner in on site restaurant. The indoor pool was nice, the fitness center was well equipped and the sauna/wellness center was very nice. Enjoyed a massage followed by time in the multiple saunas. This dog friendly hotel was perfect for our stay. The family skied/snowboarded at Garmisch Classic and had a great time. Would definitely recommend this place. And would stay here again.
It was a little pricey -but to be fair we were a family of 5 during the Christmas break. Of note our room was right by the train tracks and every time it came in to the station it would blow its horn. Did not bother us at all- but was a bit loud.

The New Year package was really great - 3 nights, all meals included. NY gala and buffet was great, the live music was also a treat, staff was helpful (they only forgot to tell us our room was ready upon arrival but that's ok), guests and staff were very family and dog friendly. Food was really varied and plentiful. Baby bed was in good condition and put in the room without asking..The swimming pool had a decent size and view to mountains, and is open until 22.00 (quite late). The location of course is stunning and there were different ways to get to Grainau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The room we stayed had not been updated for years, it looked old and a bit tacky. The pictures on Booking mostly featured the new rooms with updated design. But everything functioned. There was no kettle or coffee machine in the room and it didn't seem guests were allowed to use the drink machines in the canteen between breakfast and dinner. The fireworks was great but it came from a very nearby place so metal pieces and other burnt bits were falling on people.

Fantastic hotel, close to the train to Zugspitze for skiing, fantastic spa and especially an assorted of aromas during Aufguss by a spa guy Mohammed!
A lady at reception was not friendly. Next day we asked about where we could rent a ski, she started to blame us that we were supposed to book them a day before. OK, but question was about where to find ski rental at a skiing resort...

Close to the mountain trails, clean air, good classic German breakfast, nice lobby and bar. Beautiful scenery. Bus stop nearby.
The hotel has three buildings. The building I stayed in was a detachment. Walking to and from sauna, to the dinning hall, etc requires putting on your clothes ( jacket, hat in winter time) so it’s a bit inconvenient. But if you stay in the other two buildings then you don’t have this problem.

Breakfast selection was great. A la carte dinner and wellness area were also very nice. They marketed their pillows for sale which I found surprising. But then using the pillow it was really fantastic.
The room had a fast flowing river next to it which meant it was very loud with the window open. I really enjoyed it
Buffer dinner did not look particularly appetizing. The hotel consists of 3 buildings. 2 are connected underground but the one with our room was not. We had to go out in freezing rain to get to the wellness area and the restaurant which was rather unexpected and unpleasant

Good, practical, alpine hotel, intended for hikers in summer and skiing in winter. Right next to railway up to top of Zugspitze or into Garmisch Patenkirche. A good base from which to explore the castles and valleys of southern Bavaria

this was the best holiday trip of my life so far. I have been to so many hotels and stayed with my family but this was another level of hospitality I have experienced. so friendly and helpful staff. the view from the room was so beautiful. room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was also good.
there was no mini bar refrigerator and hot water kettle.

Hotel staff were accommodating when we raised the issue of cleanliness. Beautiful location and the hotel is very pet friendly.
Housekeeping didn’t clean our room the first day and did a poor job the subsequent days. (Didn’t change towels, left pillows on the floor, didn’t take out trash.) The hotel waived our pet fee to make up for it, but still — for the money we still paid, it felt like less than a four-star experience.

the breakfast buffet was great.
the staff at check in were very friendly.
the parking is very limited and extremely narrow, if you came late you wouldn’t find a spot and if you find you would barely park the car and be able to get out/in.
the noise of the train thr morning, the train pass in front of the balcony of our room.
there is no fridge or electric kettle.
if you ask for additional bed for the child you will not have the sofa / setting area
at check out there was a very long queue
4.0
Swimming pool, breakfasts, location close to bus/train/hiking routes
The room and shower were facing the entrance, so lots of people were passing by the windows. Had to close the curtains, and it was dark and not very pleasant to stay in the room
