About this house rental

Come enjoy breathtaking views at this updated 4 Bedroom 2 Bath lake house with gentle slopes to the bulkhead and fishing dock. The home features two Bedrooms and a Bathroom downstairs as well as a Prime Bedroom and fourth Bedroom with Bathroom upstairs. The newly updated Kitchen with Whirlpool appliances, cabinets and granite countertop, is well stocked with all the cookware and serving items you will need to prepare and serve ample meals. There is a Breezeway at the home's entrance connecting to the Laundry Room. There is a newly added large covered Porch with a Northern view facing the lake. There is a swing near the bulkhead where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. We have a propane grill/griddle for your use and require grille mats to be used (we provide) to keep grease off the grille. If we have to clean, we will assess a cleaning fee. We recently added a outdoor fire pit (fire wood stacked nearby) for you to use., as well as two fishing kayaks (extra fees apply).

We have StarLink high speed internet. We have smart TV’s in the Living Room and all Bedrooms. Hulu+ is provided. Use your favorite apps. Guest Wifi is available. AT&T as well as Verizon cell service has also been available on the property and dock with a good signal, however just a few blocks away the signal is no longer available. There are closed circuit cameras on the exterior of the property but not inside the home.

There is a public boat launch 1.6 miles away at 151 Hickory Hill Drive. The closest convenience store is the Trading Post on Hwy 692 near Hwy 255 near the dam. Then we have Tidbits and Tackle, 11 miles East down Hwy 255 turn left and cross the dam on the Louisiana side. They are located at Hwy 392 and Hwy 111 intersection. Both sell non-ethanol gas, live bait and limited groceries. Other full grocery stores are available in Leesville, Jasper, Burkeville or Newton, and you may want to shop prior to arrival.

Should an emergency arise, call 911 immediately, the address is 129 Elm, Burkeville, TX. There is a local volunteer fire department, sheriff and EMS to respond to emergency or ambulatory needs. The nearest doctors or hospitals are in Jasper, Hemphill or Leesville, LA.

There is ample room to park on the property inside the gates and fenced in areas. Guests are limited to no more than four-five vehicles and trailers. No parking on the street or cul-de-sac is allowed as you will be potentially towed by the neighbors without warning. No motor homes or travel trailers are allowed on the property without prior express written permission and the understanding there is a 12' overhead power line over the driveway. The Garage is locked and off limits to guests however the Laundry Room is available for guest's use and accessed from the Breezeway. Please park cars on the driveway and not the grass which cause ruts.

Belle Vue has a newly built floating covered boat house. The area for the boat is 10' wide by 24' long. We have an electrical outlet there to charge batteries, overhead LED lights, and a cleaning table/spray faucet and water hose. Guests need to open the valve at the pier/bulkhead to provide water to the boat dock. There is a ramp from the pier to the boat house and guests need to exercise caution when accessing the boat house due to wind and waves. Please do not uncover any owner boats on the property.

Belle Vue is without a doubt a little piece of heaven. The house inside is very accommodating to grown ups and children. The dock is well equipped and we felt safe with kids fishing all day. It was too cold for the kayaks but can’t wait till the next visit to use them also. The swing, hammock and fire pit were used everyday and enjoyed by all. But the crown jewel is the long back porch with rockers from end to end - the panoramic views were breathtaking. Early morning - mid day or sunset - take your pick it’s so beautiful. The Guidrys are very helpful and we appreciate the opportunity to visit their rental. Five star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rental for sure. Laissez les bon temps!! - Let the good times roll!!

We really enjoyed our second stay here. So relaxing with lovely views! The fishing improved as the week went on and we enjoyed a few delicious fish dinners. We loved the fire pit and watching lake life from the rocking chairs on the front porch. Thanks so much for all your help in making our visit such a a great one. We hope to be back!

I could write all day but would not do justice!!! Property is perfect. Fishing was amazing and relaxing was amazing, we went without kids just a fun trip with adults. Way more camp than we needed but absolute perfect find!! Also House owner was bending over backwards to make our stay even more better than we thought!!! They are amazing and everything about the stay was hands down the best by far!!!!

A beautiful piece of property with a great view of the water! Accommodations were perfect with plenty of room for visiting inside and outside on the patio. Also, everything you'd need in the kitchen to get a meal cooked and on the table.

We had another great stay at Belle Vue. The view of the lake from this house is one of the best on the lake. The house was clean as it always is and everything was perfect. The boat dock is great for our two boats and we are able to keep them in the water for our entire 5 day trip. The fish cleaning station on the dock with power and running was worked great for filleting the bass we caught. The owner is extremely nice and responsive and makes our stay smooth and easy. We stay at the property twice a year for trips to Toledo Bend and I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to South Toledo Bend.

4 teens and a 10 yr old, never picked up an electronic device once. They spent hours a day in the lake whether they were swimming, kayaking or fishing. When it got dark, it was smores and ghost stories by the fire, relaxing in the hammock just talking. I myself enjoyed just sitting back rocking watching the kidshave a blast

Belle Vue was as advertised… incredibly peaceful right on the lake with stunning views and quiet surroundings. The owner was gracious and made us feel welcomed. The home was comfortable and cozy, equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. All we needed to bring was our food and we were able to get all we needed on our way in just 30 minutes or so away from the home. We enjoyed spending our days exploring the Toledo Bend area state parks, the “beach” behind the dam, the river, and the spillway recreation area. Toledo Bend area is an ideal place to unwind and reconnect with family and nature.

Great location with an amazing view. We spent most of our time on the back porch. Rain or shine, the porch is the best part of the house. We plan to go back to the same house next spring.

This property did not disappoint! Walking out onto the back porch, we were greeted with the most fantastic view. The property is on a point of land and there is a panoramic view of the water. The home was well appointed with all the amenities anyone needs. We spent hours relaxing at the firepit, casting lines from the dock and seawall, and relaxing. If you are looking for a quite place to recharge, Bill G. has just the place for you!

We had a great stay. It was windy and COLD the weekend of our stay, but we had plenty of fun inside watching Christmas movies, playing games, and snacking. We had a fairly large group (10), but we never felt crowded or like there was not enough space.

The owner, the view, and the home itself were all exceptional! There were 4 bedrooms; plenty of room for all. Three bedrooms and the living room had TVs, a must for our big family. The kitchen was FULLY stocked. (We even cooked a large Thanksgiving meal!) The owner kept in full contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed (not enough to interfere!) You can't go wrong to stay here. We will return! The owner even made a few exceptions to the stated policies to make sure our stay was perfect for us. (Thanks SO much!)

Wonderful time at Belle Vue. Property provides a beautiful view of Toldeo Bend both day and night. Kids had a fantastic time swimming off the deck and playing family games at night on the patio. We enjoyed paddling the kayaks up and down the shoreline and trying our best to catch some nice bass.

Our family had an amazing weekend fishing, swimming, and tubing. We had a big group of teenagers and it was amazing to see them all “unplugged” for an entire weekend. They fished from the dock and kayaks everyday. We all swam around the dock, and having a place to keep our boat tied up and secure made it so easy to go in and out for fishing and taking the kids tubing. The house was clean and set up perfect for our large group. The owner gave tips on good fishing holes and was very easy to reach for questions. The property is BEAUTIFUL, we will definitely look here first for future trips to Toledo!
