UP IN THE MOUNTAINS-BERGA.

The location was perfect and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant served up a nice breakfast and evening meal. Good parking at the rear of the hotel for my motorbike. Fuel station 2 minutes away. The town has an old quarter well worth a walk around lots of shops andbar/restaurants. I would use the hotel again.

Unfortunately it was warm when I visited and the rooms have no air conditioning but not a deal breaker.

Very good

The staff were fantastic. The 2 ladies we met at reception even made calls to a garage to help sort out a motorbike problem. Our Spanish is not good and it was difficult for us. Cannot praise them highly enough.

No air conditioning. Weather was extremely hot. It is more of a winter resort so for most this might not be an issue.

Comfortable and clean. Old school fit out but I kinda liked it regardless :). Friendly staff.

Walls thin so you’ll hear what your neighbours and people in the hallway are doing.

First Impressions Make a Difference

After a long car drive we arrived at the hotel and immediately had a very warm and friendly welcome by the nice girl that made us the check-in and that even speaking few words in Portuguese made a point of greeting us in the language. This hotel would be perfect with a renovation and it needs it. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, spacious, with a small window in the bathroom and a big window facing the main street. The room does not have AC. The restaurant is an extremely clean, welcoming space, and we had a very nice dinner served by the nice girl that had welcomed us at the hotel (it is a pity that we didn’t get her name because she made all the difference on our opinion of the hotel and good staff like her should always be recognized for their work even more when multitasking). The private car parking is just outside and it is possible to charge an electric vehicle for a one time fee of 15€, it’s a safe and quiet place. Buffet breakfast was good. The location is perfect, making it a great base for exploring the area. Would return and recommend it!

motorcycle parking is just around the rear of the hotel. not secure. Drab room, no drinking or dining on Sunday night. Only saw one staff member who seemed a bit dis-interested.

Good hotel, great staff

Good location, easy on site parking. Lovely, helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. Large room with good bathroom, bath and shower. We booked a superior double but got a triple.

No complaints about the hotel, staff or service but we thought it was a little expensive.

Good hotel for a short stay if you come just only to spend 1-2 night(s) there.

Very simply room equipment. My (small) room has had no outside view - window against the opposite wall. A little bit limited breakfast offer.

Ok for a short stay.

Nice and helpful front desk staff. Parking right in front of the entrance.

Noise from pipes (central heating they told us) woke us up several times in both rooms booked. Rooms run down and badly sound proofed.
