Location is close to airport. The hotel is surrounded with lush tropical garden and golf course away from busy roads. View from the balcony of my room is nice with the golf course and mountains in the background. There are lots of birds in the garden.
Breakfast has a good spread with local and international dishes.
Room is spacious with high ceiling but outdated. The room is dark as there is no enough lights and the lights cannot be centrally controlled. The AC is noisy.

Staff was amazing
Room were very old and misty. Bathroom mould and horrible. The price you pay for a room is definitely not worth it. The website shows a different picture to what you get

Close to the airport and easy to get to by taxi. The young lady who checked me in was a little strange. She put me and my 3 large heavy suitcases on an upper floor (with no lift) but it was late and a last minute booking after a 6hr flight so I just needed to get off my feet. Thank goodness for the night porter who was there to help. All other hotel staff were great. The kitchen was about to close but they were kindly willing to accommodate my dinner request. The room was clean and had the basics. Also great being able to park in front of the room.
The room badly needs renovating. For folks who know what this old hotel was like in its glory days, it's sad to see it in its current state.

The convenient location near to the airport is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall the hotel is really really tired and desperately needs refurbishment. The staff did their best with what they had.

It’s okay
It should be maintained well not in a good atmosphere

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Tiny little ants running all through the room, mould in the shower. Darkest room I’ve ever stayed in. Crap old beds that were sunken in the middle. Paper thin pillows. Had dinner in the restaurant, they forgot the kids meals and then charged a surcharge for the public holiday. Only thing going for the place is it’s close to the airport.

Proximity to airport - 1st stay late arrival and early start next day and 2nd stay as we had a very early morning flight to catch.
1) disappointed when we first arrived at the hotel (supposedly 4 star) in the evening we were hungry and went to the restaurant and was told the only option that evening was a buffet (really on a Saturday night!) we wanted something nice to eat but we were tired and knew we couldn't do a bbq justice so we elected to have a room service pizza delivered which was okay.
2) Considering the cost per night, one would have expected to have found bottled water in the fridge along with real milk for coffee/tea, sadly this was not the case. Not to mention there were no bathrobes in the room and reception advised they didn't supply them. When spending approx Fiji $500 for one night's accommodation one would expect for the room to be luxurious (which it wasn't) and these items to be readily available. Also lighting was shocking so we couldn't really be in a position to comment on cleanliness.
3) On our return our Island vacation we had booked another night at Novotel as we had a very early flight the next morning. On arrival at reception, we queried the fact that we had been charged on our Visa not only for our previous stay on arrival which we expected. But what we didn't expect that on the same day they also charged us an extra approx. Fiji $90 (in addition to the separate charge for the pizza which was paid on checkout. We spent a while at reception querying this. They couldn't find any reference to this charge in their system and could only find receipts for the accommodation and the pizza, which is all we were expecting to pay. Reception first of all advised we would need to speak to our bank regarding this extra change and then advised that we would need to email them with our query in order to be in with a change to get this spurious charge refunded.

Location to airport, nice pool but not enough pool side seating for families need more loungers.
Noisy air con unit and couldnt sleep at night too hot when in bed. They need quiet ceiling fans in room to keep room cool when trying to sleep.

Incredibly run down and worn out inside and out. Surprising considering cost and brand.

It is a great value hotel. We have stayed there every time we have come to Fiji as it’s a quality affordable stopover to and from the islands, with easy access to a supermarket prior to heading to Denarau.

Location was good as near to the airport and complementary breakfast was nice too.
View of mountains from the room was cool.
Was not much clean. Little red ants and mosquitoes were in room & bathroom and bitten us all over.
We came for our wedding anniversary and was told that wine will be provided. But after constant reminders, they finally gave it at last day.
Basic toiletries like body wash or body lotion was also not in the bathroom.
TV is like 20 years old and very dim light in the room (just of bedside lamps)
Aircon is not that great. Will even see staff sweating all over

The Novotel, formerly 'The Mocombo' is a 40+ year grand Fijian Hotel. Originally, a high 4 star hotel in it's day, this establishment still looks grand on the hill from the road. Great established gardens, large rooms with fabulous views and high ceilings characterise this establishment. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The bed was excellent and the air-conditioning effective and quiet. Our evening meal, a Mongolian Barbeque was tasty and good value.
Not much! The carpet in the room was tired and the bathroom shower area could have cleaner grout.

I booked my team at Novotel Nadi on a business trip. An incoming cyclone meant it was likely some roads to the airport were going flood. We needed to move to higher ground to make our departure flights. Novotel was comfortable, close to the airport, and five minutes from the coworking space we were using. Restaurant and rooms were fantastic. Staff were very helpful in arranging the move. Highly recommend if travelling for work
Wifi connection in rooms was patchy. Partly weather, partly Fiji.
