Within walking distance of a good wetherspoons.
Noticed the heater was switched on, switched it off and all the lights went out????. Also a large gap at the bottom of the door, how this could meet fire regulations I'm not sure. Also very noisy from the traffic

Windows was painted shut with only a very slight draft no air con was very warm in room
4.0 / 10.0
it looked like the windows in bedroom has been smashed and very thin glass had replaced that had gaps around the edge
the bathroom window looked out to a night club so uneasy about having that open
night club opened as we went to bed so very noisy ( and i am a deep sleeper) too hot and tv broken
food and staff good
room and noise

good location
I was unable to lock my door (room 104) as was the receptionist and manager.

It was like sleeping above a nightclub

Reasonable price for what was on offer.
The size of the room was enough for two people and the bathroom was spacious and good. Comfortable bed!
My room was right above the bar, so very noisy at night with people and loud music.

staff were great and had a really good sense of humour
basic matrass and shower too hot wouldn’t turn to cold

Nothing whatsoever.
Everything! I could fill two whole boxes with reason. Gaping holes in the window frames and rooms freezing. Night club below therefore noise levels high. Had to sign a disclaimer which suggests that was already a problem (it was mentioned in the minutiae on Booking.com but clearly an issue for previous guests). Heater in room was totally ineffective so gave up the ghost and left after 45 minutes and went to the Premier Inn instead

Very nice venue and close to everything that I required.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
I did not realise at the time but the venue is also a nightclub on a Friday night.

No complaints. Staff were polite and helpful.
Room comfortable and the beer and food decent. Stayed midweek so avoided the revelries

close to family in Sutton
it was very noisy on the main road and the old style sash windows let in the noise and the cold

Heating was electric and requires a lot of time to warm up the room...
Noisy windows.

I like the bed room in the hotel.
I have a problem about noisy. When i go to the hotel tonight at 11:30pm around, I go to sleep then people are the party in the hotel and i feel, i hate noisy from bed on floor. Also i have problem about key in door, i check the key to door and it was no good. I want to new card enter in door easy.

close to the belfry where I was staying.
staff were very nice
so loud. not the night club noise, but I was in a room next to the road and the windows were rubbish. felt like I was sleeping on the central reservation.
so expensive for a very average place.
the photos should be prosecuted on trade description act…

The location was great for the train station. Only a couple of minutes walk.
Pizza was delicious
At first initial sight, it looked gorgeous. But unfortunately once settled and using the room, I soon realised it was very tired.
Staff swore a couple of times whilst I was dining in the evening and were socialising in the bar rather than manning reception for check out.
I went down to reception with a very old tired broken tv remote, but no one on reception but the barman was extremely helpful and polite and got me a new one so my TV eventually worked.
All in all, for 1 nights stay it was acceptable.

On arrival our room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke.
The noise from the bar downstairs was awful and constant until around 3 in the morning.

Good value location for getting into Birmingham - eg good nearby transport links for going to Alexander Stadium. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly
Best not to book on a night when the disco is on late night unless you are actually attending the disco. some difficulty with controlling hot water in bathroom.

location - we stayed during the commonwealth games and was close to all transport links and Sutton town centre a short walk away.
I cannot stress enough how LOUD the music is on a night time until 3AM, before drunks fill the roads outside and make noise until 4AM. The place turns into a nightclub. This is not something you expect as a grown adult staying in what is a nice hotel. Definitely not a good place for children to sleep.
The breakfast is advertised as a full cooked breakfast. it is not, this is an additional £10-£12. A continental bread and jam breakfast is provided, if you arrive on time.
We arrived and the car park was full, so had to pay to use council car park opposite.

it’s clean and central
there is a nightclub attached to the hotel, the noise is deafening and carry’s on until 4 am; nobody could sleep - it’s as if your bedroom is in the bar; even the floors vibrate. This hotel should not sell rooms to people on nights when the club is open.

Our room being right above the night club we weren't told about this at time of booking it was horrendous went on till nearly 4 didn't get any sleep .

Great party hotel for the weekends; we stayed on A Saturday, and the downstairs bar area has live music, with good old skool house in the far corner room. The bed was a bit tired, and the mattress had no support, it moved away from the wall and the pillow fell down - that's my only gripe.
