Location
It was cold and had no lift

Location, size of bed, clean

The room was very good for the price, clean and staff were friendly. Comfy beds. Location was great overlooking the river Thames.
Hot water did seem to take some time to kick in but isn’t a huge issue. TV did also cut out and was unusable but could be due to weather im not sure, I’d maybe recommend smart tvs so people can watch stuff digitally. Also the stairs were quite creaky and could hear people whenever they would walk past.

Great location. Walking distance from Staines train station one way and the town centre the other. Situated right on the river and easy to find. Good value overall! Check in staff very polite, gave us the room next door when the bathroom light decided it wasn't going to work. Room has everything you'd need and if you need anything more you can just message them on whatsapp. Very clean room, don't understand the lower cleanliness rating at all. Bed linen was spotless, pillows clean and soft, matress clean/new and very comfortable! Bathroom spotless not even a streak or watermark on the mirror. Room temperature easy to control even though there is no air con. Heated towel rack in bathroom will warm the room nicely and the windows open up onto the river giving you a nice breeze. Shower is amazing!
Classic room with river view doesn't have AC

The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, everything worked in the room.
I had no expectations given the price we paid and the location. But the room was quite a sad, sparse and although it served the purpose of a bed for the night, I honestly wouldn't recommend it or return. The staff were fine, but didn't make it seem special, the vibe was not great at all. Paying £10 for parking was an unpleasant surprise and felt money grabbing.
3.4
fans and fridge were provided in the room and bed was good
it was like an episode of Scoobie Doo. the place is a labyrinth and a fire trap and there were random security guards everywhere
3.4
nothing
felt unsafe, dirty, shabby, children playing in corridors, no shower, long term guests hogging the wi fi

Location was great, close to the town centre and along side the Thames River. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. The bar area was comfortable to sit and have a quiet drink and the outdoor sitting area is lovely on a nice day. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and extra pillows were provided when we requested them. Great price for 2 nights.
The hotel is dated and could do with a freshen up on the paint work and carpets. We stayed in room 61 and the water pressure for the shower was almost non existent, waited an hour to fill the bath with water.

The bed was comfortable and the room was large. There was a bus station just across the road which took us to Thorpe Park, which is why we were at the hotel. The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite.
The hotel itself is a lot more run down than it looks in the pictures!
In the room, there was no shampoo, body wash and hand wash, one of the two cups was dirty and there was only 1 teabag and one milk sachet. The staff replaced these things, apart from the shampoo - which they said they didn't do, despite there being an empty dispenser in the shower...?! There was black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom in places and the telephone was covered in thick dust. The carpet was also very stained. Also, the people in the room above us sounded as if they were running around and jumping off the beds for about 2 hours each evening. After that it was a quiet room though.

rooms clean as well as the bathrooms Breakfast was really nice
The hotel is very tired and needs some TLC
3.4
Room, staff and vicinity to the high street.
Parking charge and carpet in some common areas.
3.4
comfy bed and view of the river
very dated, shabby in rooms and corridors
3.4
The staff were courteous and helpful at check in and check and at breakfast
The hotel is very tired and the carpets in the main areas were ripped and ill fitting (possible trip hazard)
The room was dated, dark and the windows were dirty and the wall needed repairing.
I think they should also shar that they are housing refugees in the hotel because I wouldn't have chose to stay there if I had known
3.4
The atmosphere was good
The hotel have 2 names The Tame Lodge with big sign and Mercure with small sign but in the dark ypu can't find the Mercure sign

Worst hotel in Staines would rather stay at the travelodge they have security with on body camera and make u feel un wanted and if ur not upper class ur looked down on they treat u like ur a bit of dirt and over charge for there rooms not impressed
Read the above there wasn’t nothing to like so I filled it out

Good location
Unfortunate experience after a 5 hour drive. Upon checking in it became clear very quickly that this hotel is being repurposed to provide temporary accommodation for a large quantity of refugees. This in itself was not a problem but the security guard pacing up and down the lobby did not instill the most confidence in this establishment. On the very long and convoluted journey to the room initial impressions were disappointing as to the general condition of the hallways and decor. The room itself was dirty with peeling wallpaper, chipped woodwork, ripped curtains and limescale encrusted fixtures in the bathroom. The two of us decided we would feel more comfortable staying elsewhere and decided to check out. The receptionist was very accommodating and completely understand and promised to issue a full refund via booking.com however a few weeks on and booking.com have received no correspondence from mercure to issue us with our refund. Not impressed at all.

Car park at hotel, hotel is situated at river Thames, about 20 min drive from Heathrow airport.
Breakfast room with view to rover Thames
Our room was at the street side, Window could not be opened
3.4
Easy to find, nice breakfast, helpful staff, clean comfortable room.
3.4
could do with a bit TLC
noisy floors carpets need updating mould in bathroom fridge in room but not working net curtains looking a bit dirty
3.4
Location was perfect. They should get their fridges to work
You can't open the windows properly. Too many children running about at night and slamming doors.
3.4
I liked the size of the room, and how easy it was to get to the airport by car from this location. I liked they put the cot up that we asked for. also the second room for my mom was next door to us. I liked that there were just a few stairs to the rooms.
The shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty.
Although I had said occupancy two adults two children, there were only two pillows supplied and one set of towels.
there was a dead fly squished to the ceiling of the bathroom.
These items made me then question the cleanliness of the entire room which made it hard for me to sleep.
It is located on a noisy main road, for those not used to lights and noise it can be a bit much.

The bed was really comfortable, bathroom was clean
and was located nicely on the river. The property is nice
and big. After we checked in, we went and sat outside
on the patio and had a drink, which was lovely.
The staff were pleasant and very helpful
and the breakfast was buffet style and very tasty 😋
It is very tired. wall paper hanging of the
walls and the hall ways carpet was a bit of a trip hazard.
There seemed to be staff “hall monitors” which wasn’t
necessarily a bad thing as they were very pleasant, it
was just a bit strange as I had never see that before in a
bed and breakfast,

Handy for the train station
A bit off putting that security were hanging around the reception area with cameras recording not sure if they have had issues previously, this made my wife a bit nervous.
3.4
outside eating areas river view
it’s tied
3.4
Staff friendly and helpful
Hotel dated, carpet lifting and looking very shabby, security positioned on each floor which made me feel very uneasy as to why they were needed.
3.4
Very comfortable room with choice of taking a Shower or Bath, very much enjoyed Breakfast good selection of Hot and Cold Food.
Not Happy I did not get the River View I was expecting, a huge Tree masked the View I think you should make it clear when booking there is a restricted view from some of our Rooms(like they do when booking Theatre Tickets).
3.4
The hotel was extremely run down. It didn't look anything like the pictures on the website. It needs a lot of work. I wouldn't stay in the hotel again.
