ダートムーアの入り口にあるホテル。駐車場は広くて停めやすい。ガソリンスタンドも近い。ダートムーアのハイキングの拠点にちょうど良い。希望通りバスタブ付きの部屋にしてもらえたので、疲れも取れて助かった。朝食は客が多い日はバイキングだが、少ない日はメニューの中から選んで注文するスタイル。 This Hotel at the entrance to Dartmoor. Parking lot is large and easy to park in. Petrol station nearby. Just a good base for hiking on Dartmoor. We were given a room with a bathtub as requested, which helped us to relax. Breakfast is a buffet on days when there are many guests, but on days when there are few, you can choose from a menu.

Excellent staff and food.

The staff at this venue are excellent. All if them did a good job and nothing was too much trouble. Great Breakfast and the food in the restaurant in the evening was brilliant.

Nice hotel, good food.

The staff were lovely, welcoming and very helpful. The food was very good. Dog biscuits were served with an evening outdoor cup of tea.

The hotel is dog friendly but there is no dog waste bin on site and no walks nearby. The room was very clean but smelt awful. There was also no room service which is stated as being available on Booking.com

There's zero sound proofing between rooms. You can hear your neighbours' coughs & snores!

Nice small hotel in a convenient spot for the A38 road , set back , lovely location and quiet .

Pleasant helpful staff on late arrival , well thought out bedroom and bathroom for a small space .

A bit more variety with the breakfast perhaps .

represented good value for money

Clean room, comfortable bed, good linens and towels, plenty of hot water.

1 morning we came down for Breakfast at 9:00am (told breakfast available until 9:30) and certain things had run out. Preferred the day when we ordered our breakfast from a waitress rather than help yourself from a buffet which after 9:00am looked rather unappetizing The lighting above the beds was not sufficient to read a book in bed

I can recommend this hotel to stay in. You can walk in to Ashbourton.

We had a delicious dinner. All the staff were very helpful

The bath towels are super big, and to save water when machine washed, smaller bath towels would be better.

Location is brilliant. Been using the lodge for a number of yrs now. Food is also very nice

Too expensive for what you get now. Used to pay £70 a night for a good base to go out exploring from. This trip was £99 a night which I feel is too pricey. The old staff seem to have moved on, alot of new faces, and attitudes....

the room was refurbished and was very good . lovely large bath towels, dinner was great lovely food, and is never very busy breakfast was really good and nice and hot good choice ,

Excellent evening food, great breakfast - I’ll stay again.

I’ll certainly stay again. Met an old friend for an evening meal - excellent rib eye and good local ales.

My room wasn’t high on style (that wasn’t a requirement) but was spotless, with a decent en-suite shower.

A five star welcome for a two star place that served our needs just fine.

I stayed in the newly refurbished twin room which was lovely, especially the bathroom with a rainforest shower! The staff are really nice, most welcoming.

The food in the restaurant was OK but not much more than that.

Pleasant friendly staff good food but building need’s investment

Location good, food and service good staff friendly

The hotel needs some investment- it has a feel of faded glory , tired and dated decor in the bedrooms . Some visible rotting wooden windows on upper floor of main building. Bar area needs to ambience to be made more cosy , with some sofas comfy chairs etc
