We liked the grounds and the old buildings. It was nice and peaceful to sit in the courtyard.
The beds were comfy.
There were lots of umbrellas available for guests which came in very handy during heavy downpours.
Our rooms were next to each other as requested. Although we had to buy our own regular cow’s milk to have at breakfast, the selection of food at the breakfast buffet was quite good. I liked the rooibos chai tea and selection of juices.
The wine we ordered from the wine list wasn’t in stock so the waiter recommended another wine, which we ordered and we enjoyed.
There is plenty of free parking which is great if you have a car.
No normal milk at breakfast, only lactose free, soy and oat milk.
We had two rooms. The decor in one of the rooms was awful, it was like poorly executed graffiti.
Worst of all was how our children were left waiting over an hour for their food at dinner while my husband and I were given starters. The children had been asked by the waiter to choose between chicken or beef, both with fries. That was the only thing offered. My 10 year old was starting to cry with the hunger. After waiting an hour they brought him the wrong meal so he waited a further 12 minutes. He was eventually satisfied with his chicken and fries. Our other child was given steak, salad and cheese topped fries which wasn’t the “child friendly” option I had been promised. The steak was still very pink, he hadn’t even been asked how he likes steak cooked. All he was asked was whether he wanted beef or chicken so we didn’t even know it would be steak. When I booked I was told they could make something like spaghetti and meatballs, which would have been very acceptable. My husband and I had the “set menu”. The main course was supposed to have chicken and pork but it only had pork. I had planned on eating the chicken and leaving the pork but alas there was no chicken. Because they had sent the wrong meal for my 10 year old the kitchen gave both children a smaller version of the set menu dessert free of charge. But they didn’t like it. It was fresh strawberry and quark/yoghurt. We would never eat dinner here again.
The breakfast was good except for the lack of milk. But, the breakfast buffet is laid out in a narrow corridor so it was hard to move around when there were other guests there too.
Another thing I didn’t like was how the chairs/seats in the rooms were uncomfortable. Not to mention that the bathrooms had clear glass doors and curtains that never really fully covered the door no matter how many times I tried to position it. The toilets were directly behind the glass doors.

The people were all very friendly and helpful
The room was comfortable and designed with charm
Metro is at 500 meters walking distance, it takes you directly into the city center in only 15 minutes
the music (surround system) at the terrace and at breakfast inside
Way too loud and the same silly playlist all day long and the next day the same songs
It simply does not match with this beautiful hotel and the tranquil environment

This was the first time I visited Ulfsunda and I was actually thrilled. I found everything just excellent, the castle itself, the rooms, the staff, the food (two dinners and breakfasts) and the most important, the general good feeling about the place.
We had nothing to complain about!

the room this place shows in booking looks nothing like the one I was given, which in my view is fake advertisement. They also called me the day before my trip to ask me to cancel my stay because they had double booked the room! after complaining for a while they decided to offer me another room, I don’t understand why they didn’t offer this straight away. after I complained to the staff about all this they gave me 12% discount.

Nice clean and quiet rooms. The main building is beautiful with several lovely rooms to sit in. Lovely big and very tasty breakfast. Loved the scrambled eggs and bacon. Staff was very sweet and helpful at all times.
The rooms were good, but I think it was a tad expensive for a fairly simple room. Would expect to pay about 750 sek tops for the type of room we got. Also didn’t like the fact they only had a 4-course menu with no other options for families or children. We therefore decided to go elsewhere for our evening meal. would have been nice to enjoy our drink by the fire, but no fires were lit in the whole main building. No kettle in room.

Asked for, and received, early check-in (two hours);
Large suite, which was immaculate;
Quiet (read 'what you didn't like');
Lunch consisted of take it or leave it single option. You don't like mildly under-cooked salmon? Hard luck.
Dinner consisted of four-course take it or leave it menu - no options. Very hard to justify the cost, when what you get is one choice of starter, one choice of fish, one choice of main course and one choice of dessert. I mean, really?
Room 401 has a bed with a surrounding illuminated plinth. Turn off the overly-bright orange lights, and use the toilet in a darkened room, you walk into a plinth. I banged my foot at least four times - not funny or 'quaint'.
Use the shower, with screens in place, and the design leads to mild flooding of the surrounding areas, including the steps into the lower-level toilet room, leading to wet feet.
One English-spoken channel on the tv.
Curtaining that leaves gaps that, if left as is, mean anyone walking past could see into the room.
Woken at 3am by very loud banging of doors or windows. This happened over a period of an hour and a half. Called reception, but 'receptionist' - left in charge of an expensive hotel by senior management - spoke no English. 'Receptionist' came to our room and, via an on-line app, told us that a drunken guest had been banging on various doors. Next day, my wife voiced our concerns and was given a 'bit of bad luck you're having' reply. I should have done, at 3am, what I wanted to do, and called the police, since the hotel hadn't a clue.
My wife and I left this hotel far more tired than we'd entered it. We wouldn't dream of staying again.

Breakfast and the location were fine.
The beds were too soft. The temperature in the room was too low and was difficult to increase it.

Lovely decorated rooms, floor heating in the bathroom. Smart TV and beautiful lounge area above the reception. Good that buffé breakfast was separated from the dinning area - felt really secure in this pandemic times. Good that you have 3 different pillows per person and good choice of drinks and snacks in the mini bar. Nice water pressure in the shower (not in the one that you need to hold, though). Sewing kit and venity kit, plus small bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion from the famous brand - rituals. Different warm and cold options for breakfast and a good choice of juices. Very tasty breakfast.
Room and bathroom are tiny, if you look at the windowsill you will be impressed by the thickness of the walls, but you can hear everything your neighbor thinks, so may be only some walls are impressive. No place for the make-up things by the bathroom mirror, only 2 small shelves strategically located above the toilet seat (one wrong move and you go fishing for your toothbrush:)) shout out for more women architects!!! Cold stone floors in the room and the only option is to go back to the reception to borrow slippers- which means to get dressed, go outside and fight the lazy mood, NO GO, would be nice to be asked upon check in if I need to borrow slippers and bathrobe. No tea pot in the room, blinders do not blind and a layer of dust above the high shower head, but you'll live🤭

Beautifully restored country home with modern, comfortable rooms. Good quality, well-priced restaurant.
Taxi service is rather horrible: After failing to book my taxi to catch a flight the night before, I was told to wait for it out in the rain and wind. The former is a mistake, but the latter is a flaw.

I had no dinner (it was late arrival) , no breakfast (early leave) so i cannot tell anything about it
There was no facilities to make a cup of tea and in my situation (late arrival and early leave without breakfast) it was quite an important point
