The breakfast menu continental said croissants yoghurts and muffins but there were only some small muffins and toast, as well as cereal. However my husband enjoyed a very good cooked breakfast

Room was clean and staff were very accommodating
The room was small. The shower was very disappointing shower head wouldn't stay up as was broke. The water pressure was ridiculous took me ages to since the shampoo out of my hair. And when you turned the head upside-down there was just a trickle of water. My husband ended up having a bath instead.
As we was running late for mums funeral because it took so long. We didn't have time to since the bath round. As we left the room cleaners were coming round. When we git back that night. I noticed the bathroom hadn't been cleaned as there was scum lines still round the bath. Also not all the usb plug sockets were working.
Very disappointing 😞

The staff were welcoming. Molly was there to greet us. She was very friendly and set the standard for everyone else, who were all lovely too!
We thought the food lost 1 point but everything else made up for it

The location close to the highway was in our circumstance very advantageous. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Breakfast was excellent…lots of choices and served hot by lovely Molly.
Had to wander round to find someone for my cousin to check out on Saturday morning.

Upon check in my Partner was asked for his name even though I had pre-paid and booked under my name. When my Partner responded with his surname the receptionist asked if he was messing about/joking/winding her up!!
The room was filthy, cobwebs and spiders everywhere and they had been there for quite some time by the looks of it.
Take a look to the right of the toilet pedestal in room 9 and at the right hand side of the headboard! I got many of the webs and spiders myself but there were many more. The bottom of the toilet was stained as was the sink plughole, just needs a bit of bleach or a toilet block. The bed runner was also stained as was the two mugs and spoons and the glasses were filthy. The carpet was dirty, un-hoovered and bits everywhere on it, even hairs from the previous occupants. Although informed that 2 people were staying, there was only one towel left to share. The bed is NOT a double as advertised, it was a three-quarter bed and very uncomfortable.
The room doors were being slammed at night and people talking in the corridors, one room had a key in the outside of the door and it sounded like a party was going on at one point.
Due to the above we did not even think about eating breakfast there, we had it elsewhere.
A deep clean of this place is desperately needed. It's a Greene King Inn property and a Hungry Horse pub but we would never stay there again nor would be recommend it.

Decent hotel usually to be fair.
Location fine facilities fine.
Shower was broken. Working on a slight trickle and red hot or else freezing cold.

travelling from Dorset to Scotland the hotel was ideal, close to the A1, not noisy, the Hungry Horse food was simple & honest & good value.

The breakfast was very good and value for money. Location excellent for our needs. Staff are warm and friendly. We stayed for 3 nights with family visiting us at the venue. We were able to reserve tables and order a buffet which was excellent. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff they were all brilliant.
The doors leading to the rooms could do with a paint.

The staff are fantastic & could not have been more helpful. We had a problem with a flat tyre after checking out. The chef was early for his shift & changed the tyre (which was a temporary-use spare), one of the restaurant staff arranged for us to get a replacement full size tyre at a local garage her boyfriend worked at; he dealt with it straight away when we got there as we had to go to a funeral straight after (we had travelled from Edinburgh for it).
Also if you're these for an evening meal and are hungry, have the chicken ranch burger, it tastes good & there's plenty of it.

Check in easy. Room clean comfortable
Breakfast set-up poor. People eat and self-serve cold buffet style in the dark.
Took 45 mins to get served due to staff levels.

The room was clean everything we need. Food at restaurant was also good value for money. When up that way again we will definitely stay here
Waited at the reception for quiet awhile. Even after ringing the bell, turns out they were in the main bar and forgot to take phone with them , was very apologetic after so would not let it put us off

The staff were very happy and helpful. The location was good and parking was a bonus.
We had breakfast and some of the foodstuffs were not apparent so we had to ask for them (toast).

The staff, the family friendly atmosphere. The bar was great for the evening with kids. Staff were very accomodating to our needs. The room was lovely, very big, fab layout for me and the kids. Kids loved it and want to go back!
The location was misleading in the map. When choosing accommodation for our activity we were travelling for it seemed closer. The breakfast wasn't the best we've ever had. But for what we paid it was fine. The staff made up for all of the negatives though
