cheap beer and wine .
bathroom could do with a good clean if not a refurb, continental breakfast was dire, stale pastries, luke warm water for tea, only 2 people for breakfast but not enough plates etc.

It was a large room with a nice big bed, and the option to order food is great.
The bathroom was dated but didnt put us off. for the price it made sense.
The big issue was lack of plug sockets. One near the kettle far away from the bed meant we had to try and charge a phone in advance. Im surprised there wasn't a plug socket or charge point near the bed.
We were in room 11 and the corridor did smell of weed for hours.

Comfortable beds, great value for money
No air conditioning, bedside lamp was broken and a wall light in the bathroom was missing. No throws on the beds as shown in pictures on website.
3.6
Pleasant staff
There is only 1 electric socket in the entire room.
Room was dirty, handprints on the headboards from previous guests 'evening activities', black mould in bathroom, hole in the wall.
Bad plumbing that makes loud noises whenever water is used.
3.6
Not much,
The rooms are very dated, not very clean, shower and silicone around the bath is all mouldy, the walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversation in the next rooms, I met 2 different receptionists who were both miserable as hell… the pub next door is absolutely vile for food and the drink is not much better… thank god it was just a work stay and I didn’t take the wife there. Stay clear

The room itself was ok, The shower was very good.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly
The light above sink in bathroom was missing. The vent in bathroom was broken, bath was very slippery, Hot tap was very lose. Only 1 plug socket.
Went over for breakfast to find out you get charged double if you stay at hotel, cheaper to walk in off street, thats if you can get several. We waited for 15 minutes before saying we was leaving in that time not one person came to take our order, and two members of staff just looked at us a few times without asking if we wanted to order . Found a mcdonalds down the road in the end

We love the area & the pub next door.
The beds were two singles put together and we kept falling in the middle so it was a very uncomfortable sleep. Haven’t had this issue before when we stayed last time. The people across from us were up till all hours and left food and rubbish outside their door, also the dog non stopped barked.

Helpful staff
No food was available in the dining area when I arrived

Difficult to get the shower to turn on (the tap sticks). Had to have a bath instead. Water was cold. I couldn't get the plug out of the sink to drain the water.
I don't understand why maintenance cannot sort out such problems.
WiFi was impossible to connect to.
I would not stay at this place again.

Breakfast was nice
Hot water for a shower would have been good, I asked a staff member who said I'd have to wait for the tank to warm up. Not great when you have to be at work for a certain time.
It was running hot in the sink but not the shower so could have been a fault rather than supply issue.
3.6
Easy access, connected to the pub for meals etc. The staff were very helpful and it was a great overnight stay.

It was convenient to where we were going for the funeral and the motorway. The place had its own car park and a restaurant as part of the hotel.
We misunderstood the breakfast time to end - 09.00, when it was from 07.00-09.00 so we were late. I had paid in advance for breakfast for us both and reception was closed, so when we arrived we were told that breakfast was over and we would have to choose off the set menu and pay extra!. No way Jose!! I gave the menu back and prepared to walk out. The young waiter didn't want us to leave dissatisfied and suggested that he get the kitchen to fix us up with some cooked food. Fair play to him, that is what he did. So we got our prepaid breakfast after all.
We got up a bit later than usual that day and found that all the hot water for showers or wash basin had been used up and only cold was on tap. That is not good for a working hotel!! Also there was only one available power socket to plug chargers in for phones etc - ridiculous.

very creased net curtains in room 16

Staff. Cleanliness. Room size. Vicinity to skatepark. Adjacent sports pub.
Bathroom needed overdoing. Some neighbours were a little noisy.
3.6
Comfy bed and pillows. Warm room, good heating facilities.
The whole room, furniture, carpet, lamp shades and bathroom very tired and grubby looking.
We never had any hot water from shower, absolutely freezing. Unable to shower before we went out, couldn't be fixed although staff tried. Unable to shower following morning, terrible!
Shockingly there was a guest opposite us with a dog which was constantly barking even in the early hours of the morning, this hotel states NO Pets allowed on Booking.com which was why we booked it. Fernhurst staff maintained they had pet friendly rooms and this was stated on all websites! We were offered a refund off our breakfast and a discount on the room but on checkout the manager was unhelpful and was only able to refund the breakfast in cash, saying someone would ring us later to sort room discount.

Nice hotel ,,,,,,had to change rooms no hot water.
Second rom not much better but ok
The food was rubbish, fat laden soft chips, fish fat laden batter , loads of it and not much fish and the fish was tasteless
3.6
Nice pleasant clean place. Good pub and restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Staff are lovely and helpful. The place was a little shabby on our last visit but has been refurbished and it definitely benefits from this. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Great value for money.
Nothing really. Everything was good.

The damp smell.

I didn’t like anything to be honest
The bathroom flooded, had to change rooms but then one of us had to go back to the flooded room as they only had a double room and the bed was too small. I told them the next day about what had happened and I am now waiting on a refund which has to go through yourselves as I booked with booking.com

I've stayed a number of times before. I've always liked the rooms, they're spacious and there's always plenty of room to hang up your clothes. The bathrooms are good as well. Showers are reliably warm. Breakfasts are huge if you are a big eater.
Nothing I disliked

Bed was so comfortable
The Internet didn't work their was pubes on our towels, not enough plug sockets their was only 1 in the room so a bit hard to charge 2 phones at the same time
