excellent location and perfect breakfast and friendly staff!

The location is excellent, good gym to exercise before going to work
it gives a feeling of being a bit aging

The concierge desk is amazing!! I also loved the meandering river. There is an enormous sauna.
The sauna area was grubby and the dry sauna was broken.

Good service
Need more choices of breakfast
3.5
This time I made an upgrade to Executive level to use the Executive lounge for Afternoon tea, small dinner and breakfast. I was here before the hand over from Hilton to kunlun.
And now, afternoon tea was like in the good old times. Staff was looking for the guests and payed attention. Small dinner thing was OK. But no breakfast at Executive lounge. The main reason for me to pay extra money to have a breakfast in an exclusive area with a good choise of things in the morning. Unbelivible!!!!!!!!!
You have to go downstairs to the breakfast area as all the other guest. No way Kunlun!!!

staffs are very nice and friendly
it’s an old hotel, facilities are out of fashion
3.0
One of the best locations in Shanghai, with good size rooms and views.
The service was often less than a 3 star hotel but better dressed. Most staff not behind a counter, (the only counter that seemed to be attended was the check in/out), seemed to often wander aimlessly - management learn how to manage and engage your staff in training PLEASE!?
If you stay here you seem to only get sparce service after complaining. Then once treated well for 5 minutes you're back where you started. While I believe the intentions are good, I don't believe they are high standard and overall very relaxed about their jobs.
Management is to blame, both for the above and the lack of upkeep on a once 5 star hotel.

The Kunlun is currently great value for money as in this post-Covid era it is still rebuilding business volume.
My room was very spacious.
It is very close to a Metro station so very easy to explore Shanghai and there is a good selection of restaurants nearby.

Comfortable bed, excellent location, lots of breakfast choices.
Room was a bit outdated.

The room was very lovely and the view was amazing. The breakfast was decent and the ambiance of the hotel is very nice.
Check in was a little stressful due to COVID restrictions. I’m annoyed by the swim cap rules in Chinese pools. None of this is the hotel’s fault.

Kun Lun Hotel is in a privileged location in Jing’An. It’s walking distance to most interesting spots and restaurants in the area. The rooms are impeccably clean, the water pressure of the shower is optimal. We chose a room with a view and didn’t regret it. The check-in and check-out were amazingly fast and simple. Would totally repeat the experience if possible.
Internet speed was a little bit slow for moments. Didn’t ruin the experience, though.

Breakfast was very good with enough options
The rooms were smelling to cigarette, I really did not like this, that was the first sensation that I had when I woke up in the morning
3.5
Classic Chinese hotel which is a bit dated now. Great breakfast and staff were nice. Solid location as well, just a bit old is all.
Nothing was terrible :)
3.5
Two rooms were in different level, but right next to elevator. In elevator it's possible to go on your own floor, but staff gave us extra cards. Executive Deluxe King Rooms were spacious with two rooms with two bath rooms. The best was very nice view over Shanghai from big wide curve window at bed room.
Rooms are old and stuffy of strong cigarette smell. I hate it. The breakfast was nothing special on China level. Executive club was closed, but they served in entrance floor lobby bar. It wasn't still same.

The staff were extremely friendly
The swimming pool is a bit dated

Very clean and sanitized all around.
Good breakfast, wide selection of western breakfast.
Tried the room service in the late evening, was fast and good.
Will come back again due to great location and service.
Only check in took some time due to covid 10-15min, but it felt much more professional and serious here than other hotels I've visited in regards to travel history and health code

First time I've stayed here since the new owners took over a couple of years ago. Was actually better than when it was the Hilton. Staff great, food wonderful, though of course with a 5 star price to match, but that is OK. Definitely recommend their Italian restaurant for the set lunch, which was great value for money
It was lsl good
