Excellent Budget Stay

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The small room included a fridge and microwave along with helpful suggestions for nearby grocery stores and restaurants. The small bar was comfortable and the room, while tiny, was very clean and well organised. The breakfast was tasty and the little breakfast room was charming. It’s a great budget stay!

Honestly, everything was fine. The room was smaller than I expected, but because everything was so thoughtfully arranged, it was easy to navigate.

Little to nothing

I stayed three nights. It was a tiny room. To dry after the shower I had to open the bathroom door. But that, I can live with. They did not clean the room once during my stay. I asked them explicitly to do it every day, the never did.

It wasn't a nice experience, very worn down.

Had to change room 3 times due to dirty rooms filled with bugs and flies. This resulted in no sleep on the first night and 3/4 of the guests ended up staying elsewhere on the second night.

Great location for the price. Only a 20 minute walk to the centre of Reading, which was lovely and worth a visit. Great amount of shops and places to eat. Good and regular bus links. Easy access on to London by train, 25 minutes, no stops. Free parking. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The things we didn't like were, the curtains and the nets in the room were stained and dirty, also didn't like the fact there was no mirror in the room, only a small 1 in the bathroom which is no good if someone is in there and you want to get ready, there was also no where to hang wet towels, coats etc.

Comfortable stay

Paid for a double room but got a room with a double and two singles on the ground floor. Appreciate it

Very nice.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean. It was easy to find. We were also able to check in early which was a massive help to us as we had an event to attend.

The price of the stay was a bit more expensive then we were expecting.

From 2am Noisy guests slamming doors in and out of the corridors followed by police banging on doors trying to arrest people. Not sure who are staying there but won't be me again!

Pleasant and comfortable stay.

The staff are always very friendly and went above and beyond for me when I had a medical issue just before check out, letting me stay in the room till I recovered. This is a central place, clean, good parking and comfortable.

was somewhere to sleep while at a gig in Reading

good to have free parking so I didn’t have to find somewhere else to park, not familiar with the area.

lack of information on check in, no mention of breakfast, no mention about coming back after hours and having to use my room key for entry. bedroom and bathroom were clean, kitchenware was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned.

Cheap, clean and pleasant stay

Location is ideal for us as it is close enough to town to walk in, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The price was great, especially as the room was kitted out with tea and coffee. The bed, whilst firm, was comfortable along with the pillows. The shower did look quite dodgy and old, however looks can be deceiving as it was fab, haha!

A few final touches were missing, such as no shampoo in the bathroom - only shower gel. Randomly at around 3am a fire alarm or equivalent started blaring for a good 10 seconds then stopped, which did lead to a disturbed sleep. Finally, the radiator was blazing all night and was right next to the bed, a little too close for comfort.

Good

The room was small but comfortable, clean, quiet and a good temperature. It had a fridge, microwave and a small desk which was uncluttered and ideal for working at. I only booked for one night but ended up staying for a second.

Pretty basic but good value

Good value for Reading which can a bit pricey at times.

No restaurant so you have to go out, the rooms do have microwaves so you can bring something in and heat it up but it does give the room a grubby feel. The rooms arnt overly cosy but they do the job if you want cheap and cheerful.
