Great breakfast option. Location was close to all transportation and center. Nice view of the River Lee river. Beautiful facility with friendly staff.

La ubicación, las instalaciones y el personal tan amable
El Hotel No tiene Aire Acondicionado, por suerte nosotros nos hospedamos en otoño y el clima estaba agradable, pero hospedarse en verano sin aire acondicionado debe ser terrible.

The welcome was lovely and as requested things I needed for our stay were available in the room. The room was spotlessly clean and staff were pleasant. There was a happy birthday selection of cake and a beautiful birthday card for my husband. The location was ideal for us and the hotel was quiet so we got a good night sleep. The shower had great power.
There was no hot water in the taps, no face cloths or shower caps were provided. Now I know we could have asked I'm sure for those to be provided but for a 4* hotel I think these things should be in the room. There is no air conditioning in the room so it can get quite stuffy.
We had a drink at the bar andet some friends. The bar staff were extremely slow, they didn't really engage with customers, even just to acknowledge that we were seen. My friends were 15 minutes waiting to be served, there was one person ahead of them. We were a further 10 minutes waiting to get two minerals. Then we had to wait for ice. Obviously we only stayed for one drink and moved to a different bar. The bar manager (I believe that's who it was) was trying to assert staff, telling them to fill Beer glasses fully and not to leave pints sitting around which he is absolutely right to do, but in my opinion I think he could have brought staff to the side to talk to them away from customers. There was no music in the bar which I felt was strange for the may bank holiday Sunday.

Comfy bed and good shower.
Was asked to pay again for breakfast at check in despite having prepaid the extra fee at booking. Otherwise all good.

I asked for an upgrade on my room as the size of the room was not what was advertised. At reception the male on reception happily upgraded at no cost which I appreciated a lot.
The first room I went into the towels were dirty in the bathroom and although it looked clean, on closer inspection it would not be up to scratch with other nearby hotels in Cork City. The second room I got upgraded to was much bigger and more space which was welcomed. However, again the cleanliness of the room was not up to scratch - there were a few black marks on the duvet cover and the window sill had dirt and what looked like a pubic hair on it. Most might overlook these things but we have all come out of pandemic so for me it was a big NO. On entering the hotel lobby there was a strong smell of urine in the lobby - they had fire doors open at one stage to leave out the smell but once the doors were closed it was quite strong. To be honest I stayed the night but left fairly nifty in the morning. It is a nice hotel with nice staff but cleanliness needs to be made a top priority. The place just made me itch to be honest!

Very good location. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely
Few little things could be added, for example very small amount of milk for tea, just enough for one cup. No little toiletries extra, like shower caps ect. Tv kept gliching and very little channels.

second time staying in this hotel and it was a great stay, we stayed for 2 nights in december and everything was clean and comfortable. we got a great room with an excellent view over the city. breakfast was fresh and tasty and staff very good.
it happened to be a very very cold weekend so the room was a bit cold during the night and a second blanket in the room would have helped but only complaint really.
