Alter Charme, gutes Essen, nette Besitzer

A repetir!

Quaint Country Pub. Great service in the bar and the food was delicious in the restaurant. The breakfast in the Conservatory was amazing.

Location staff comfy bed
There was some mould on the floor on the window side of the bed behind The bedside cabinet and along the floor before the radiator the wall was damaged to the left of the radiator above the skirting board the bath at sometime had been damaged and had been patched at some time the towel in the bathroom was dangerously hot

We had a lovely Christmas break - relaxing and comfortable with delicious food, delightful surroundings and lovely staff. The room was large and the bed was comfortable . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was delicious every day, and our evening meal was wonderful too.
The traffic noise can be a little intrusive in the mornings as the Inn is on a busy main road. However, the rooms are well insulated against the noise and it didn't spoil our stay at all.

Peccato averci soggiornato solo 1 notte
Assolutamente nulla.

Really great attentive staff and lovely room at the back of the hotel. Love the cosiness of the bar restaurant. Lovely dog friendly place. Food in the restaurant was really yummy.
The main problem for us was the bar closes very very early, at around 9.45pm both nights we were there and we didn't know this in advance. We booked the place especially to be able to put the kids to bed then come downstairs to use the pub restaurant. That was a bit of a disappointment to us because we booked two rooms for a 50th celebration. And although they let you use the space downstair all the lights are turned off so if you need to use the bathroom or anything in the social space you need to do it in the dark. Maybe think about leaving the toilet lights on for people or at least leave them so they can be turned on by guests? The switched didn't even turn the lights on. Our bathroom roof leaked a little water in the room at the front of the hotel when it rained which was only a small issue for such a lovely old place.

The people working at this inn understand true hospitality and fulfill the role this establishment has had for centuries with pride. Good communication, friendly, helpful. Clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. And to add to that: good restaurant!

The Inn has loads of character and although on a busy road it was quiet in the room.
The staff are exceptional, so friendly and efficient!
The food was amazing in the restaurant and breakfast was delicious too. Plenty of gluten free options available.
There are a fee stsirs but to be expected in an old building

No pudo haber estado mejor.

Great property. Comfy bed. Well worth a stay. Good breakfast. Early check in option.
In roof room so gets very hot as no air conditioning. Small tea cups in room and a poor quality mini ironing board.

Excellently located for us as we were meeting friends who live locally, for dinner then the next day visiting Crocodiles of the World, a few minutes away.
Staff, food and service were excellent. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice. Again, great food and value.
The property has retained it's character and charm.
We'd definitely stay again.

We've enjoyed Cotswold atmosphere of the venue. Comfortable rooms which appeared as recently refurbished. Decent breakfast options served in nice 'winter garden'.

Nice room. Pet friendly. Nice walk at the back of hotel.
Road was very loud and when we checked in at 9pm there was no food at all. Breakfast was quite basic, my daughter had a sausage sandwich which was two slices of white bread with one sausage sliced into 4 pieces. I know the breakfast was included in the price but if you did have to pay £14+ for it you are going to be a bit disappointed.

We like the 16th century architecture of the inn as well as the breakfast sun room which was bright and lovely. The breakfasts which came with the room was also very good quality and served with good cutleries and table setting. We had dinner at the inn restaurant and it was also delicious with good plating.
We had a room facing the main road which was busy and noisy throughout the night which affected our sleep.

Great staff good food comfortable room
Shower could have worked better
One minute scolding hot then freezing cold

The property was super cute and quaint in a beautiful location. The room was huge and beds very comfy!
It’s right on a major road with quite a bit of traffic. Our room had a lot of steps to get to, including steps into the bathroom which at night can prove to be tricky.
4.5
The room was spacious and well appointed, the bed comfortable and the shower was new and very good. The breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy.
A minor quibble, but a glass and some bottled water in the room would have been good - most hotels of a similar standard do provide them.

Great location if could do with a playground. Room and bathroom lovely. Lovely bar and food. Friendly staff.
No veggie sausages on the veggie breakfast. No beans on the full english.

The staff were wonderful and breakfast was great set in the beautiful conservatory.. Belle our dog was treated to a sausage, highly recommended.
There is a lovely walk to the back of the hotel great for humans and dogs

Olde world charm, friendly helpful staff. Dog friendly hotel. Lovely beer.
Location. It's right alongside the busy main Rd very near to a petrol station. Our room faced that so traffic noise was very evident. For olde world charm read very creaky floorboards and sticky doors. Difficult for a peaceful night's sleep from noises above.and adjacent rooms. It's been a while since we've dined out but food and drink did not seem value for money.

A very warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff, good food and very comfortable, clean accommodation - all in all a very pleasant place to stay, and excellent value for money.

The breakfast was amazing just could do with some beans
We could not just have a sandwich for tea as they only had set menu’s
2.5
Although the menu was over elaborate they clearly have a good chef. I had the simplest item on it, steak pie, and both pastry and contents were very good. Included Breakfast next morning was also good.
Room only 20 feet from busy A40 with totally ineffective secondary double glazing so loud traffic noise 24 hours.
One or two silly gimmicks like serving piping hot gravy in a small round jug, filled to the brim but with NO handle. Crucible tongs would have helped.

Superb breakfast , beautiful property & lovely gardens
We couldn’t get a drink at the bar when we arrived back as the bar shuts at 10pm .
5.0
Plenty of parking , a really friendly welcome, a couple of pints of beer after a heavy day, then off to bed, lovely room and a very comfortable bed, slept like a log, lovely and quiet, woke up to a good warm shower then one of the best breakfasts I've had, staff were lovely and friendly, I will be back if I get chance.
I missed an evening meal, my own fault.
