The reception staff were extremely helpful and the facilities were great.
Unfortunatley there was a leak so the water was turned off on the morning we left so couldn't shower, use the toilet or have a wash.

The room wasn’t upto the level I would expected for £71.10 per night without breakfast

Although my stay was very unexpectedly short I found the hotel staff were very friendly, informative and helpful throughout my stay. The checking in procedure was a little new to me as I've never stayed in a hotel were the checking process and collecting your electronic key is nearly all computerised, very much like a self serve type situation. Although a little daunting the staff member on duty that evening was great and guided me through the various screens on the checking system. The room was perfect for me and suitably sized for my needs. I can happily say the bed was very comfortable. All in all perfect.
I have very little to dislike, although I do like the idea of the self serve checking in system, I found it to be a little more complicated than I would of expected.

Great breakfast choices
A few young lads messing about in the leisure area. Also woken a few times by drunk/loud guests but can’t do much about that.

The stafff were extremely friendly. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The pool and gym were excellent.
The rooms were a bit dated. The breakfast was terrible and would not recommend at all.

Breakfast good & rooms a good size & comfortable
Not cycle friendly. We had to store x3 bikes in our rooms overnight on 4th floor

good location. clean and tidy.
self check in with no staff - difficult if you haven’t stayed before. we paid extra to use the pool and leisure facilities however they wanted to charge us extra on top for towels which I think was a bit cheeky.

Main takeaways;-
1.1 Multiple room block bookings for multiple days need to be flexible. (If a day needs to be cancelled we don't want to have to cancel the whole booking and start again).
1.2 Minimise the number of invoices. We ended up with over 40 individual invoices An all in price is required.
(For accounting purposes each individual invoice needs to be downloaded scanned, categorised and sent to our accounts office, its an extra job i don’t want when it can be simplified.
Staff were great.
I got the disabled room which was really difficult to use. (Got it changed after the first two nights).
Overall-we will come back with pleasure if every other hotel in the area is full.
If you can sort out the things i have mentioned, the hotel would be a fantastic place to stay.
This was one night in a series of many.
Each night had to be booked individually in case it needed to be cancelled. There is no flexibility when block booking multiple rooms for 2 weeks at once. If any changes are made the whole thing has to be cancelled and re booked. Cancelling and re booking takes time effort and i don't want to find after cancelling the whole thing and rebooking, that there are no rooms left.(as i found last year, the manager said oh yes, the footballs on, so as soon as you cancelled, the the rest of the rooms you wanted to re book were taken quite quickly.
So moving forward with individual bookings we end up with masses of invoices (invoices for everything) each room, each night, you cannot have the same room as the bookings we made were individual each day for flexibility. Which means loading all luggage back into our vehicle and brining it out each nigh. Sometimes we could get the same room. Charged for using the pool facilities(do i really need to carry a credit card in my trucks), charged for a towel(separately???), oh, and you can’t charge it to the room because its a separate department(go figure that one).
Great stay but major hassle.

Very friendly staff. Good choice of food on the menu.
Rooms very tired and dated. Bed bases very grubby. Stains on net curtains in room 216. No glasses in room. Only had one towel for two of us. Lift out of action on the morning we checked out which was 20/3/23.

as we were distressed due to the room
we could not speak about anything that we liked apart from the stqff who was friendly
when we entered our room,
the fan in tbe bathroom did not aork and it was smelling throughout the night.
there was dust on the ironing draw and the cupboard so we did not use the cupboard to hang clothes orbuse the ironing board.

The hotel has alot of amenities. I have stayed there because I was traveling and I did not leave the hotel for any reason what so ever, which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly, especially the ladies of the grill/bar. All in all, with the pool, sauna's and gym, it felt like a spa.

Everything about our stay was perfect we stayed for 2 nights over our wedding day and the staff went out of thier way in every aspect for us. The morning after our wedding we was let down for the taxi we booked to ho to our honeymoon and therefore nearly missed our flight but the staff organised it between then to ensure we made it to our train, Emily decided to drive us herself. And we even received a lovely txt message wishing us the best after we left. We are so grateful to all the staff especially Chris and Emily. And we will definitely be recommending this hotel and will return.
Thank you so much again guys your the best!!

Even giving photo proof of positive covid I needed to change dates to dates that were free the following week, the hotel would not change dates and I was charged full rate. I will be staying for work in the area for several months but due to this I will never stay at the hotel again and won’t recommend to anyone else as money grabbing and unprofessional
