Everything about the Riverside Hotel was wonderful, the staff, the room was large and very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the location was great for walking into Monmouth.

It was all great, there was nothing to not like.

The Riverside offers excellent value for money. It is a short walk over a medieval bridge to Monmouth town centre. It offers exclusive parking, good wi-fi, a very good breakfast and a great bar showing the sports and offering an opportunity to meet the lovely locals. The staff were helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay ay the Riverside again.

told we had a quiet room at back. In reality we had a room at front overlooking road and above the bar. Room description also said seating area. This was 1 wooden chair. First morning I asked cleaning staff to clean round sink taps as dirty. Shower also full of mould.

Noisy , mattresses need changing they are very uncomfortable, areas slightly grubby, need attention ,the walls are like paper, can hear everything , especially when there's a band on

Not very welcoming no bar food although there is plenty of choice in the village however when you are tired after a long drive and a busy day it's nice to be able to relax where you are staying and not to have ti go out on a wet wild night for food.

When we arrived ourbedroom door was open and a notice was stating the door and paint work was wet. Surely this should have been completed long before we arrived. I had to open the windows wide for fresh air Also there were workman near our room that started early. I can understand a refurb being done but nearby where people are sleeping is annoying.
