Room was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. Not enough loungers by the swimming pool. No one on duty in the spa
The restaurant food was not good. Not enough loungers by the pool.

Wonderful location and grounds and lovely people
Showers were a little bit difficult to understand and couldn’t make it go cool enough. would have preferred that there had been muesli, nuts and prunes for breakfast but there was a good variety anyway

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor of our room (171) and the dining room in particular was bold but tasteful. The extensive grounds were delightful to see (sadly too wet for us to enjoy sitting outside).
The huge number (20 plus) of peacocks which were all over the external tables and chairs was offputting/scary and dominated the outside area.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. No menu offered, and the tea was stewed as it was served out of one large pot rather than individual teapots.

Beautiful surroundings. Very clean hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. My son absolutely loved this hotel and specifically swimming pool and peacocks
That I stayed only for 1 night

Superb setting. Great staff and food. Rooms were newly decorated and very clean. Was a special treat to have peacocks within the manor. Just magical
It is unfortunate that on both nights of our stay there was loud music playing up until 1pm making it difficult to sleep.

Beautiful grounds , wonderful rooms and amazing staff . Pool was great as was massage !
The fact we were told on arrival the sauna & spa weren’t working . The point of our stay was to use these facilities . If we had been warned in advance we could have booked to come on a different night . I mentioned my disappointment on checking out and although I got a sorry they could have done a bit more to rectify the problem . The name on the TV in our room also had someone else’s name on it and the TV was quite poor in terms of channels / films

Great facilities, spa, pool, bar, gardens, an excellent service and an upgrade! Pendley Manor is an outstanding hotel.
Swimming pool, a beautiful bar in which you can drink tea and read a book whilst looking at stunning views. Staff very helpful and great rooms.

Room breakfast and pool
The steam room was not turned on.

pretty room, convenient location
bed was actually a double so it was small and had a footboard which meant that if you’re over 5.6” you’ll have to scrunch up all night. Not comfortable. We had broken light fittings as well, light switches are hard to find and the breakfast buffet was average at best. Paid an extortionate amount for a very average stay.

Friendly staff in beautiful surroundings
All good

The room was beautiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The spa was good. I had my nails done and the prices were reasonable. Breakfast was a buffet. The grounds are pretty.
I have a problem with my ankle and forgot to ask for a ground floor room (my fault). My room was on the top floor. I did ask if there was a lift, but there was not one. Later I discovered there was a lift but it was out of order. If you are a wheelchair user, access is from the back of the hotel where the conference facilities are. There are ground floor accessible rooms. The restaurant, bar and tea room are all accessible.

We were upgraded on arrival. The room was really lovely and spacious. Bed was comfortable with excellent linen.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service, particularly in the bar on the Sunday night.
We were not able to move a dinner reservation to later in the evening as we were told the restaurant was fully booked. This wasn’t true as there were empty tables around us. The restaurant menu was poor with average pub food. Food was low quality and included offering roast meat with gravy and salad. Very odd. They also couldn’t accommodate a food allergy.
The steam room in the spa was out of order and the changing rooms were very shabby with broken lockers.

Spa & pool facilities were good; the room was OK and I have discussed the 'short-comings' with the senior management.
See above.

The setting is fantastic with lovely grounds and peacocks! The room was very good and the public rooms too; especially the area with the real fire. The decoration (wll papers for example) were interesting .
The breakfast was ok, but no better for the price. Disappointing to have instant coffee rather than ground for example.
There was a coffee maker in the room, but no instructions.

Absolutely beautiful building, restaurant and bar area. Staff were superb in every way. Food was lovely and we felt very welcome. Wonderful to see the white peacocks in the grounds too.
Room was spacious.
Room in new extension. The bed was too hard for me to sleep well and the shower wasn't as clean as I would have liked. I would have liked a dressing table near a plug socket for a hairdryer.

We overall pleasant stay, room and hotel interior were fantastic and like . The peacocks, open fire Christmas tree created the lovely ambience we remembered when we came for our wedding anniversary before. Room was very comfortable, great beds and linen. This time booked the afternoon tea which was very good. We had the pool pretty much to ourselves and the hotel was very accommodating with my daughter being the only child around.
At beginning there was no hot water of which we were only informed the day before our stay. They got it fixed relatively quickly but the room was very cold to start with and the towel rail never worked so bathroom stayed cold. (were given extra radiator but took a while to warm up).
Guests had to shower in the very limited number of of showers at pool so it made the changing rooms a mess (flooded with water, not very clean) etc.
We've stayed at the hotel a few years ago for our wedding anniversary but we sadly felt let down by the dining this time round. Menu was rather limited, some things had run out even though the hotel was quite empty. We waited ages for our dinner, so had several other guests. It generally felt rather understaffed. I felt sorry for the staff that were there as they were seemed to genuinely care and want to provide good service but it all felt somewhat lacklustre. There was no real apology or follow up, no discount was offered etc. even thought they had been told a few times it was a special occasion. Last time there were little attentive things like a note or a special little thing at dinner.
Bit of a shame as we didn't enjoy it as much.
The grounds were also all being dug up so it just didn't look as nice though we did have a lovely stroll round the back of the house.

Splendid building with grand central hall and staircase. Wooded grounds with peacocks strutting. We had a large room which was clean and comfortable.
The Shakespeare bar was nice with good service. It could have been improved in the lighting department, having an open fire and a door to the outside that closed properly! Also the choice of beers was hopeless! Just Budweiser and Peroni if I remember correctly. No local beers.
