The property is in a stunning location, the hotel is exceptionally clean, the bedrooms are fresh & clean & the beds are super comfortable & the spa facilities are brilliant. The food in the restaurant was incredible & ALL the staff were very attentive, friendly & couldn’t do anything more to help make you enjoy your stay.

Location, staff, food and facilities were all fantastic. loved the welcome drink in our room and the 5pm ice and a slice delivery was a fab touch. Spa and pool also great.
There were hardly any issues. The only thing we noticed was that the carpets and throws on the beds were a bit grubby, and the pillows were not the best quality. Neither of these affected our stay .in any way though
4.3
Location fabulous we shared pictures with wider family who thought we were abroad! Room was spacious and comfortable as was sea facing balcony.
Car Park was chaotic on arrival and indoor pool was dark and very strong chlorine in the pool and hot tub.
4.3
Fab location, comfy rooms & great service
car park is very cramped - our car got bumped!
4.3
Great location and very helpful staff. Stunning views from the deck area and the room was a good size. Food was great (when it arrived!)
Clearly understaffed and not able to keep up with demand. Food took ages to come out on both occasions we ate there. Tables were dirty and frequently left uncleared. They offer you a complimentary Salcombe G&T on arrival with a Gin bottle in your room but I saw housekeeping staff carrying a massive bottle of Gordon's when turning rooms over...

Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Great location and views; very quiet.
Decor and appearance very appealing.
Lovely, light rooms, clean and well maintained.
Parking is a challenge, especially if you miss the entrance and then have to go round and through the narrow town streets again due to the one-way system. Small price to pay for such a fantastic location though.
Pillows were too high, so somewhat uncomfortable.
Don't leave it too long to go to breakfast, as food tends to run out after 9:45 out so.
4.3
Huge comfortable bed, complimentary local gin and tonic was a lovely touch, Incredible spa facilities and a scrumptious breakfast with very high quality local produce.
Some parts of the room could be cleaner for example the cooling fan in room had dust in the vents
4.3
We paid for a balcony and estuary view which gave a fantastic view (after our first room had a disappointing view across a low level roof and a birds eye view of the roof terrace bar. Complimentary G & T in the room. Spa area was really nice albeit the steam room was out of action for last two days. Restaurant area had fantastic view across the area with outside area. Staff were really good, friendly & professional. Great location. Lots of good (and challenging) walks nearby.
Our initial room view was disappointing but moved after one night.
4.3
excellent location and facilities
maybe something could be done to the lead roof extending in front of the room balcony - artificial grass / decking
4.3
fantastic view and beautiful welcome drinks and chocolate in our room

Service and extras provided as it was our wedding aniversary

The hotel itself, very good, room clean and a superb view.
Plenty of parking. Quiet and private in the rooms, and on the balcony, you could spend your whole time there if the weather was kind.
An added bonus was a carafe of gin provided in the room, with tonic, and each day the ice person comes along offering ice, lemon, orange and grapefruit slices.
Lovely, comfortable, lounge areas with Salcombe history on the walls. Good availability of food, drinks and treatments. Katie did a great job on my wife's facial and my massage.
We only had the breakfast, which was good, so can't comment on the menu.
The spa area is very nice but could do with a bit of tlc. The curtains between the loungers are getting moldy, and the floors, especially the steam room are not cleaned regularly enough. There was an orange on the floor, probably still there now, in amongst the curtains!
Nice facilities though.
On the day we checked out (of all days, we needed to head off, sharpish) our breakfast order was overlooked so we were in the restaurant for quite some time. This was easily overcome by asking, but by then we were running late and actually vacated the room after 11am, which housekeeping were not particularly amused by.
None of this spoiled our stay, and we'd come again.

Location and view were incredible. The staff were attentive and friendly
For the price, the rooms were incredibly small. Over £300 per night for a room barely bigger than a large bathroom was frankly disappointing. Similarly, the restaurant was very expensive for what you got and environment in which you got it.
4.3
Relaxing and luxurious

The food was excellent but quite expensive
Lovely touch, the chocolates in the room for his birthday, thank you.
The bathroom sliding door needs a handle! it got harder and harder to slide and was difficult to open and shut
4.3
Great, lovely touch of gin and tonic in the room as complimentary. A lovely warm welcome and great barman!
4.3
good location, lovely staff
had to ask for things like milk to be in room. smell of fried food from balcony constantly. couldn’t get in to the spa as over booked. tired and a lot of money for what it was

everything good
4.3
my wife loved the spa.
not cheap for an out of season stay but you know this before you book
4.3
The most incredible views.
Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming.
The food was delicious and I was very happy they had a vegan menu.
We enjoyed the spa facilities
The hydropool had an air leak that was very loud. It certainly didn't ruin our stay.
