Food was superb.Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Estate was amazing. We wish we had more time there.
Transport to and from was difficult without car.. More hangers will be helpful.

The nature around the building is exceptional.
Floor in bathroom very slippery when wet.

We got the very nice and spacious tower room which is also shown in the pictures. We have therefore no complains about small rooms which was several times mentioned here. But even with a smaller room we would have been very satisfied with the atmosphere and the unique ambience that such an old castle offer. In addition, the perfect diner complimented our experience. We cannot agree with the overall rating of below 8.

The good points: nice location in a park close to the cliffs. Free parking next to the entrance. As I write I am in a Radisson and thank God that this money here -is- well-spent: for 8€ less than the Liselund we enjoy a huge superior room with separate bathrooms and real beds. And a real separate seating area. Staying at the Liselund had ruined my holiday mood and this other hotel helps me to recover.
Luckily I am used to make decent reservations and do not have to write often a bad review, but this was such a ripoff that I felt compelled. For a start, this hotel is not in a real castle but just an old palace, is not really beachfront as you need to walk through a park 10 min to get to the sea (no real beach there).
Entering the room was such a disappointment. A tiny room for so much money, I was left wondering why. The twin beds so narrow that I even fell off the bed during the night! The bathroom is a one-square-meter shack: basically you shower above the toilet and everything in there gets wet. They mention a "seating area" in the room but that means a desk crammed between the beds plus an extra chair crammed between a bed and the door. As you move around the room everything is squeaky. Walls are so thin: had the pleasure of listening to our neighbours morning ritual at 5:30 AM. Could not sleep after that because the curtains let all of the light pass through.
No tea-coffee making facilities. No fridge nor bottles of water provided. Toiletries are ridiculously cheap and poor, just soap and shampoo. See photos.

everything was just perfect, however, the bathroom was calling for improvement :-)

The castle is beautiful and has a great location, with its own beach entrance to the Møns Klint cliffs. Staff is working hard, while seeming understaffed. Good breakfast.
The beds were so bad (i.e., worn and overly soft) that we slept on the floor on just the topper-matrass; which was better than the actual bed... (...) Also, the room was so dusty that my girlfriend got an allergic reaction -- which has never happened before in all our travels... Our room was in need of maintenance and new furniture (i.e., classic furniture is no excuse for using dirty or damaged items). The shower head in our room needs replacement. Throughout the hotel it is quite easy to spot places that are in need of maintenance. Overall, not what one expects when looking forward to a stay in a 'slot'; and definitely not at this price point. It is somewhat sad to see that this beautiful building and rooms are not as well maintained as it should; the hotel seems in clear need of investment.

The surroundings of the hotel are beyond beautiful. The girl at the reception was also very nice and the room we were given was way bigger than we expected (in fact it was huge). The interiors of the hotel are nice as well.
The property is very beautiful but it is missing a little bit of care on it. There was a sock under our bed and the room was dusty and dirty in several places. Breakfast is not very nice either. We payed 1550 dkk reason why we expected more quality in general. I think they need to upgrade the hotel or take down the prices. It is a shame as the place itself is crazy beautiful.

A very romantic place, situated in a fantastic park. Close to a couple of fabulous sites.
Rather small room and private rest room facilities. Cosy, though.

We got a wonderful room at the top of the hotel with a view of the beautiful garden.
Breakfast was laid out beautifully and was tasty. The surrounding garden is beautiful, with lots of opportunities to walk around, admire the views and the birds. There are peacocks walking around, lots of ducks and other birds. If you are lucky and the sky is clear at night you see all the stars as this is a very secluded area. We took the car to see the cliffs which are quite close and there are endless opportunities to walk around.
The bathroom was very small and when showering everything got wet. We had to climb a lot of stairs to get to the room, so we left our suitcase in the car and only carried what we needed for the night. It is very isolated. While there is a restaurant it offers just one set menu, as we are vegetarian the menu was not relevant for us and we ended up eating something we brought with us in our room.
3.5
I liked that the hotel in general had a historical appearance. The restaurent/downstairs was very "hygge". Dinner was good, but very expensive compared to the size of the dishes.
The staff was lovely, and very professional.
Our suite was not as we expected it to be. The furniture lacked comfort and the way the room was decorated was not "hyggeligt" at all.
