Eine Oase, wenn auch nicht eine ruhige☺️

Seit Jahren ein sympathischer Ort, Mischung von Hotel und Hostel, sehr sympathisch. Einfach aber sauber, international, in einem mediterranen Garten.

Gut zu wissen; Hotel oberhalb des Bahnhofs, daher auch Zuglärm, nachts Güterzüge.

Angenehmer Kurzaufenthalt

Gute Lage, direkt beim Bahnhof. Wir bekamen gratis ein Upgrade und hatten ein besseres Zimmer. Neu renovierte Badezimmer. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Bequeme Betten.

Die Fenster müssen geschlossen bleiben, ansonsten Lärm von den Zügen.

Value for the money

The facilities were superb. The Staffs were very nice and accomodating, the food was tasty & excellent and the happy hour was a treat for everyone!

Convenient but not ideal

The location was good, near the train station. But the directions to get there were really confusing. There were so many signs for the property but it was gated and there were no arrows towards the entrance. Walking from the train station I did unnecessary stairs just to go back down and around before I found the entrance. There’s a big fridge for guest use.

The only common area doesn’t have AC and it closes after 10pm so there was nowhere to sit/work/be besides the dorm rooms of 16 people. Two showers and two bathrooms is not enough for multiple dorms that each have 16 people in them. The WiFi didn’t reach all around the property, include sometimes the dorm and common rooms. The kitchen is tiny so you always have to wait to wash your dishes and it also closes at 10pm.

Lugano lodging convenience

Entry desk staff quite helpful with information. Cleaning staff friendly. Grounds are beautiful and being attached to hotel was a surprising feature...I chose to have hotel breakfast which was delightful.

The staff is very friendly and nice. The mixed dormitory room was clean and comfortable. Great location, just 5 min from the train station. The pool is included in the price even for the hostel!

Very welcoming staff, and other travelers were friendly and respectful. The whole place was clean organized and well run. I was top bunk in the dorm, but did not feel unstable (it was only two stacked not three as others have said in the comments.)

Too expensive for what you get

Near the central station. Kitchen facilities.

The reception closes at 23 and if you want to have the key they ask you for a guarantee of 20 euros or they will keep your ID until check out. This key is not necessary as the doors to the premises will be open and people may enter through another noisy room door throughout the night. The door of the rooms is open 24 hours so anyone can enter. The number of lockers, bathrooms and showers is not enough. They don't have a safe luggage room, since you only have to leave them in a common area and pray that it is still there when you return. Since the reception is closed during the night, we have a problem with one of the guest sleeping in our room and nobody was there to help us so some of us had to take the mattress and sleep in the corridor outside the room.

Near the city center and right in front the train station! The pool is great to chill a bit.

The bedroom wasn’t comfortable. 16 dorm, each bed super close to each other, no much space and the conditions weren’t good and the bedroom wasn’t really cleaned. It had two doors with access to outside and anyone could got in and out anytime. Super noisy at night and no one controlling the atmosphere outside during the night. One bathroom for three big dorms and not so clean.

Disappointing

The kitchen only opened at 7.30am and I had to leave earlier, do I couldn't have taken my breakfast and had to spend extra to get it outside. But, way more important, it was very hard to sleep in the bed it was given me, because it was near the exit door (with glasses so the light could come in the room) with a light on near the door. And also, when I asked to be assigned another bed, was answered me there were none left, just to discover during the night there were several empty beds they could have given me instead of the one I was assigned at. 👎.

The worst hostel I have ever stayed at!

The hostel is close to Central Station and the city centre.

About 16 people sharing one room in the basement with only a few power points. Too many people (I guess more than 30 people) sharing only 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms. Instead of pillow, small cushion was provided and it was very uncomfortable. Bear in mind if you arrive early, there is no storage room to leave your stuff and you will be offered to leave your baggage in the common area. Absolutely no one accepts any responsibility of your belongings. All in all, everything has some issues in the hostel and I do NOT recommend at least the shared rooms in this hostel.

The landscape, the gardens around the very nice hotel. also the location. the weather was not very good, but I am sure we would enjoy the swimming pool in the middle of that wonderful garden a lot. may be next time:-)

If you have time and money don't get share room of this hostel.

Just the location was good because it was near to the main train station. So if you arrive in Lugano very late you can easily get there.

There were 16 people in the downstairs. The room did not have any fans or air conditioning and the bad smell of shoes were everywhere so you could not sleep well. Also I checked in very late (after 12 am) and the staff could not speak English. Finally, there were only 3 toilets and 1 bathroom for 32 people for share rooms.

This is the cheapest place to stay. Very conveniently located. But 16 beds in one room is too much.

The view on the lake from the room was amazing. Free parking space on side. Because it also is a hostel there are facilities the cook and eat. Housekeeping works on a tidily schedule.

Great value for money, try the breakfast

I stayed in the hostel part of the Hotel. The breakfast, location and swimming pool were a highlight, as well as the pleasantness of the personnel.

I stayed in the hostel part of the Hotel. The cons are the usual for a hostel (sharing your room with people who snore, beds that are not perfectly comfortable, animation around bedtime and morning)
