Pleasant stay with beautiful views.

The staff were lovely. The bed was big and very comfortable. We were upgraded to a sea view room and the view was very nice. The room was big and the chandelier impressive. Great to see USB ports available rather than just plug sockets. A mini fridge was there to keep drinks chilled and some complimentary water. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We took advantage of the 15% off food at the restaurant on our first day too.

Maybe typical of Italian rooms but there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom was small and the shower cubicle very tight even for an average sized person. If you're carrying a few extra pounds you will definitely struggle. No mirror in the main room, only bathroom and walls were sparse and room large so no excuse really.

1. Location - only 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and 40 minutes away from Positano. There are facilities like supermarkets, pharmacies close by. 2. Breakfast - delicious breakfast 3. Spacious rooms

Sweeping views, lovely spacious apartment away from crowds with great food

We enjoyed everything about our stay. There is a sweeping panoramic view from the windows and the deck. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. We loved the restaurant Il Cantuccio for the friendly staff, the lovely view and the lively and romantic ambience in the evenings. The breakfasts on the patio with the sea view was such a pleasurable way to start each day. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We loved that the town is small but lively, but not crowded like many of the cities we visited during our stay. The location is perfect for a people who want to avoid crowds. The bus stops right outside the property which can take you to Sorrento and the rest of the peninsula. FYI, getting to Sorrento is relatively easy because the EAV bus seems to come about every 20 min. But using the SITA bus system to get around to the other towns in the peninsula was more hit and miss. There is a tourist info office that gives very good info about getting around.

Highly recommended, very romantic

Location is perfect with a see view, rooms and terrace are huge, clean, very nice fresh breakfast done upon your order. Run by a family with a personal touch. The restaurant Il Cantuccio is a point of attraction. Good food, very romantic place. Parking available

Best stay in Italy ! if you want to visit Amalfi Coast, I recommend staying here! You will not regret !!

The best location and view in Massa Lubrense

The best location just in the centre of Massa Lubrense town. The view from balcony is great as it’s surrounded by olive trees, orange and lemon tree also can a bit of sea view. The Italian breakfast is nice as the pastries are served warm every morning and at the terrace over looking Capri island. There is a fine dine restaurant which is the same management which serves delicious food and wines with the best sunset view in there restaurant terrace. The hotel is located at the best view point of the town which you can enjoy the sunset everyday, closed to shops, restaurants and bus stop that you can commute to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi easily by bus. We have visited the beach nearby’Marina de Cantone’ by bus. The beach is nice with clear water and had some delicious seafood form a restaurant there. There is a local beach nearby too which we did walk for about 30mins

The room is a bit small, no sofa and unstable Wi-Fi. The Italian breakfast is nice but we had the same croissants, custard pies and a plate of fruits every morning (No choice) which is not what we expected.

Fabulous and very friendly hosts, best croissants and the very best pizzas in town!

Breakfast and hosts were fantastic! Best Croissants and pastries we had while there —(without a doubt!)

I understand there was work going on around the back in front of the Balcony, we love to sit out and have a balcony but we we’re kindly made aware of this before we arrived so when the work is all done it will be so fantastic to sit out in the evening before going down for dinner.

Good hotel in historic style with wonderful restaurant and beautiful sea view.

Nice centrally located hotel. Big fully equipped room in historic style. Wonderful restaurant with beautiful sea view belongs to the same owners, just on the ground floor. Very good breakfast served by the same restaurant. Very friendly and supportive personnel. Free parking close to hotel.

Nothing to mention apart from on-going building facade repair, which was supposed to be finished months ago, obviously not a hotel fault. Because of that additional effort was required to identify the hotel. The rest of stay was really enjoyable.

The location of the property is absolutely stunning and the view from the balcony is beautiful and even better than the pictures. The restaurant where you are served breakfast is downstairs and also has panoramic ocean views, food was excellent!

There were some renovations being done when we arrived which meant that the room was quite dusty and the one we booked wasn’t available for our first night. However, the owner went out of his way to ensure we were very well looked after and I cannot thank him enough for his kindness, he gave us lots of different options for our first night which worked out perfect.

The restaurant was fantastic! Complimentary breakfast was as good as it gets. We enjoyed delicious dinner with the most spectacular view. And still the best part had to be warm and freindly the service. Incredible hosts!

AWESOME place, strongly recommend to visit!

Amazing place with very beautiful view for Capri Island! Clean and nice room, big delicious breakfasts and very kind stuff. Special thanks to Natalia for our guiding and total support 24/7 =) We were like at home during staing in the hotel. One more very important thing - restaurant with autentic interior and best cusine that we tried, awesome pizza, capreze, pasta!!!

A really lovely holiday.

Our room was lovely and spacious. My daughter likes to have her own space and she was happy upstairs on the mezzanine. The view from the terrace was amazing. I especially enjoyed it in the morning when it was in the shade and not so hot, or at the end of the day watching the sunset. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. We had fruits, pastries and eggs every morning. I am sensitive to gluten, and our hosts provided me with lovely gluten-free bread and delicious gluten-free pastries. They were really lovely people and I wish that I had been able to have a conversation with them. Location was good too, very close to a bus stop so it was easy to get in and out of Sorrento. Boat trips to Capri and the Amalfi coast were available from the local harbour (Marina della Lobra) and werereasonably priced.

This was a quiet location, which suited us fine but might not be good for everybody.

Unique historical b&b with great views

The main building in which the room is located is a beautiful antique historical building. The restaurant right downstairs serves amazing food. The view of Capri and the bay from the little balcony. The bed was soft and comfy.

Wifi didn’t work well and the hot water in the shower was not stable, temperature switched from very hot to very cold in a matter of seconds which made the showering experience very unpleasant. One light bulb in the mirror of the bathroom didn’t work and the one that worked missed the glass cover which caused us to burn our hand. The fridge in the room didn’t really keep things cool. In general the room lacked some basic appliances like glasses to drink water, a kettle to have tea in the morning and a space to sit/work on a laptop. For the price charged I was expecting a little bit more of attention to detail.

Wonderful stay at Relais Il Pennino

We had a fantastic stay at Relais Il Pennino. We purposefully chose a bit outside the 'touristy' area of Sorrento and we were so glad we did. Our room was very big, very comfortable and had the most spectacular terrace with a view of Capri on one side and the Bay of Naples on the other. So beautiful! The hosts of the hotel are wonderful! Made us feel so special. The restaurant is also spectacular. Food (and wine) delicious with a fabulous view of the water. The restaurant staff make every meal an experience (it was so good we ate there a few times). The hotel is about 3km from the touristy area which can take anywhere from 20 to 50 mins on the bus. We rented a car and it was a good choice as the views of some of our drives were breathtaking. That being said, you need to be comfortable with (very) windy roads and some tight spaces, but it's definitely worth it! We did day trips to Capri and Pompeii and would recommend both. People always talk about Capri, but in our experience AnaCapri (the top of the island) is the real jewel. Had a spectacular lunch and visited Villa San Michele which is a must! Overall, this was the perfect hotel for us. Exactly what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend. Sergio (the host) will take very good care of you!

Although the hotel is very comfortable, there is an opportunity for some additional amenities. For example, the room has the capacity to sleep 4, but only has 1 mirror (in the bathroom). Adding another mirror in the room could be very beneficial. In addition, having a wider range of toiletries would also be a nice touch.

The location was very central to getting to other places like the beach and Sorrento city. Also the staff was very very accommodating and welcoming. We would recommend this place to anyone!

The bed was a bit too stiff for our taste. The location is very central so you hear noises from the street a lot. But it gets quieter at around 11pm.
