It’s like a secret hidden garden, that comes with all the antique houses.
Everything about my room is lovely, but it’s too near to the road and it’s not soundproof, can hear everything outside

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I love the traditional houses which has been converted to hotel rooms. It gives you the experience of living in a village - but luxuriously. The surrounding is very green, which is so relaxing and provides a brilliant tropical experience.
The food taste and quality could improve more.

Loved the unique buildings and tranquil setting. The restaurant was great and staff helpful. For us it was the perfect place to unwind at the end of our holiday.
In some ways the location didn’t matter because it’s its own oasis but it’s a little isolated from the beach our house being on the 2nd floor looked out over a construction site beyond the property. It was also a bit noisy early hours with the mosque nearby but got back to sleep.

Authentic and beautiful setting
Construction in the hotel made it unbearably noisy and not relaxing at all. Service was terrible, and so was the food and breakfast.

Good location, food and entertainment (lion dance, nice band playing at night). Beautiful place.
The first room they put us didn’t have running water (we needed to take shower using water containers), had power shortage, and was located behind a noisy diesel generator operating during the whole night. Besides noisy, there was a smell of burnt diesel in the room. After 2 days of suffering, finally they gave us another room, that didn’t present any of the problems listed above.

The resort is really beautifully renovated from colonial buildings. Every detail is thought through and looks like a design magazine. The service is super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is provided from early morning until brunch hours. Room was big and comfortable.
Everything matched our expectations.

The beautiful buildings and estate layout. Service was friendly and fast, you can tell staff are well trained.
The linens could have been better, my bedsheets were musty all 3 nights. Breakfast could also be better quality.

The pool, grounds, and landscaping were Eden-like. The size of the room was generous with charming updates to humble 19th century structures.
Thin walls and lack of soundproofing in guest room. Shockingly bad breakfast and mediocre food in general.

Loved the plantation feel of the place
The breakfast was a bit poor on one day with lack of choice we think from having run out of items and not replaced them.

it was a wonderful setting and the accommodation we stopped house was old and unique and had wonderful character and history to it. We had two rooms so we had a room each which had four poster beds. Had everything . Showers were brilliant. We had a pool right in front of we’re we were and sun beds there for after you have had a swim

The hospitality by staff. Great food. The uniqueness and history of each building. The tranquillity of the place.
Below the bed, it wasn't swept, so there were heaps of trash and dust. Duty manager's WhatsApp isn't attended to as expected. My final night's request for dinner at around 930pm caused us a bit of an issue, which was solved by the local food delivery. Mosquito net had to be requested after a bad night covered with mosquito bites and being constantly awoken by mosquitoes.

The antique houses brought over from different parts of Malaysia and their beautiful furniture and decorative objects, and the garden.
At the beginning I was bothered by the noise from the airplanes landing and taking off at the airport nearby. But there were no planes at night. Also we did not like the view on a building site from the terrace of the Johor House. the bathrooms could be updated.

we love temple tree and have stayed many times.
Next door golf course renovation means all day works with diggers right by the pool - kills the whole countryside vibe! :(

fantastic colonial rooms with super helpful, friendly staff.
the pool is a superb place to chill in the day and restaurant had the best food we ate on the island
the building work that is happening over the wall, after a day you don't notice it but I think guests should be made aware of it before there stay.
also the kitchen ran out of chicken one night and the menu is 50% chicken!!

Everything was great, room was great, staff were great, bar/restaurant was great, Pool and facilities were also great.
Location is a bit out of the Hussle and bustle of the main street, but we liked being away from it. But easy to get to tho 5min taxi to reach main street.

The colonial style of the buildings, the unique atmosphere so relaxing, the kindness of the staff, my unit was large and the bathroom too, and i found all the accessories i needed, a SmartTv and good WiFi included, the quality of the food from their restaurant, the location, the gardens and the swimming pools and also the 2 friendly cats there 😁😺
