Convenient for a single night stay near bus station but needs improvement

I needed a decent hotel near the bus station for just one night, coming in from Zagreb by bus and leaving for the airport the following morning. This hotel was fine for a short stay.

The place is old. It's still charming, but some things were not, like the weird electrical wiring, which clearly needs some upgrading from older systems. The lights are strangely wired to the switches. I had my phone charging and heard a frying sound and smelled something burning. The outlet was burning out my adapter. Every time I plugged in a device I could see electricity shooting from the socket. As a building professional I feel like this place is an electrical fire trap. The breakfast was awful. I just quickly ate something before leaving for the airport. It's fine for a night but I wouldn't stay here longer. Location is not near the nicer parts of town.

A long way from what it once was

The hotel has a belle epoque atmosphere and is close to the main attractions, shops and restaurants.

The hotel has deteriorated over the years we have used it and is now very much down at heel. The curtains didn't cover the window, breakfast options were unattractive, restaurant staff didn't speak, and maintenance work is clearly bodged.

Definitely if possible I will not go back there.

The room was terrible. Bathroom very poor, toilet broken, shower cabin fairly dirty. Noise from the elevator wakes you up very early, safety box out of order. No TV channels, not even the basic ones. Breakfast very poor, recipients storing food dirty… I could go on but definitely down slide compared to what is was before Covid. New management does the poor job.

Great staff at front desk. Nice location. Run-down rooms.

The front desk staff was excellent.

It is run-down. The room had all the “clean tags” but it was a minimal/still dirty clean. The “sanitized” glasses were wet. Broken door handles. Respectfully, all-in-all, not worth the price.

Most terrible, unacceptable and ridiculous hotel experience in my whole life, I even don’t want to visit Belgrade anymor

No housekeeping 2 times during my stay even I came to reception to tell them, the staffs shirked the responsibility when I complained. The staff didn’t allow me to have their breakfast at 1010 but the breakfast time was until 1100, and their attitude is bad. The elevator and the drainage in the room always didn’t work. The staff broke into my room without knocking the door, actually I was on my bed with my wife, how crazy. One of the staffs at the reception always want to sell the services such as one day hour and airport express which run by herself and her friends. The tables in the dining room were very very dirty, they didn’t clean after someone finish their breakfast, I guess they just do it after whole morning.

The door car did not work at arrival, I was given a key instead that did not work either. Safety box was not functional. Toilet mostly in bad shape. Breakfast pretty poor in choice. I have been using this hotel for more than 6 years s. It used to be decent but after it reopened after Covid it is a pure disaster. The only convient thing is the location. I thought everybody deserves 2nd chance but this is the 2nd and now even 3rd time - always the same issues. Probably the new management but absolutely Hotel to avoid. Nothing to do with before Covid years…such a pity.

Bery quiet and relaxing. Big space and wonderful place to stay. Safe and clean. Would return.

Decor of hotel and my room. Particularly the bed and furniture of elegance and comfort. front desk staff was very efficient and helpful. Breakfast coffee was excellent as well as the eggs.

intermittent cleaning of room which consisted of only replacing towels but not making bed or refilling of paper supplies.

Hotel is very tired. toilet seat was completely off from toilet bowl, also shower drain was completely blocked so it was flooded badly onto the floor.
