Large well appointed room, and a fantastic full English breakfast.
Arriving back at the hotel at 10pm I fancied a drink, and although I did get one it was a bit of an effort as the bar had a private function on and i had to go to the restaurant and ask there.

The room was a good size but past it’s sell-by-date
Everything was extremely tired

Place is well located add great value for money. The reception staff are friendly, professional and always happy to help. My room was exceptionally clean and room was tidied every day. Room being on the ground floor which access straight into the grounds is a nice touch (in my opinion)
Place is still slightly outdated. My room had Bose speakers which weren’t attached to anything a hole in the wall above the wardrobe which clearly used to house something but now just contained wiring. Room is very hot even when it’s not hot outside

The setting is unbeatable as are the staff and service.
Well that ghost still hasn’t returned my sock from 2021 but whatever she is using it for I forgive her.

Good standard of accomadation close to town centre. Ideal for visiting relatives. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast.
When we booked it was not clear that restaurant was closed on Sunday Evening. Planned to host a family dinner. Was later told shut from 5pm but on arrival was told that open until6pm. Then told only reason we could not eat in after this time was that you were hosting a large party.

Nice building and the on-site restaurant/gastro-pub was good.
Booked 7 months in advance and requested a cot for the room. The cot which was provided looked like it had fallen off the back of a skip; the mattress was broken and didn’t lie flat. Asked at reception if there was a replacement and she had no idea. Eventually lead me on a tour of the whole hotel checking random cupboards for cots. Finally found one tucked in a corner somewhere which I had to go and setup myself.
Duvet had a giant stain in the middle of it - impostor miss, housekeeping obviously didn’t care. Sheet provided for aforementioned cot had dried vomit on it.
Complained to the manager (after initially lady at reception initially told me she didn’t know how to get hold of him) who initially reluctant to do anything about it (Quote: “I can’t do anything about something that’s already happened”).
To be fair, an hour later he eventually came back to us and did move us to a bigger room so that the baby could co-sleep in bed with us and gave us complimentary drinks at the bar. Unfortunately too little too late - at nearly £200 a night they need to do much better.

The location was good.
Rooms were poorly finished and furniture was broken and dangerous. When complained there was just a receptionist apology items removed and no replacements. Room wall had dents with filler not painted and overall poor quality.

Didn't have breakfast.
Shower trap was very dirty, outside courtyard could've done with a tidy up.

Room was exceptional and incredible value. Set in parkland and very quiet. Bed was so comfy I could have stayed in it all day!
Let down by restaurant - Dinner - the food was very good but menu was average with not much choice. Breakfast was good but expensive. Mirror in the room was above a tall fireplace: I'm short so couldn't see to dry my hair.

Lovely property in a good location and excellent breakfast.
The room was very clean but needed some TLC for a 4* rating as there were stains on the seating and furniture, marks on the walls, cracked lampshades and a broken shower.
No one available in the hotel bar after check in so had drinks in the Stables restaurant which were very pricey at £18 for a pint of Guinness and a glass of wine.

the food was outstanding
stayed in room 22 and the floor boards above us was very squeaky

Look and character of place was awesome, breakfast choice and quality was great. Room was spacious clean warm and had all the things I might need.
Due to age of building some doors walls whilst clean need maintenance, however this is purely aesthetic and not reflecting any ability to use facilities.

Very generous portions for breakfast.well cooked, staff very helpful.
Perhaps some of the food offered could have been set out buffet style.

Thom, Hanna and the rest of the staff made my stay comfortable and pleasant. Hanna especially went out of her way to help me check in.She’s a star.
I lighter “to go” breakfast would be ideal

Lovely building, nice breakfast and deluxe room had a large jacuzzi bath which kids loved 👌
The unexpected 20 pounds per child per night for a bed in the room. Needs to be explained properly at time of booking.

Location was great and direct access to external area straight from the room was a bonus.
Very pleasant staff added to overall good experience.
Extremely uncomfortable bed.

Breakfast and food generally was good, staff members very friendly.
The room should not be offered for sale at all! It’s badly run down, not clean and was absolutely freezing. The heating didn’t work, blind was dirty and not keeping the draft out, could hear cars from the motorway at 4am!
