The lady owner is very nice and helpful!

It's very close to the metro station and there is a supermarket for a few corners as well if you need something. Everything was super clean and they have a good restaurant as well.
Special thanks goes to Yaceni, whatever I asked she helped with it.

Mateo the staff who does night shift was very nice and super helpful.

Most unique hotel I've ever stayed in
Excellent prices
Had a cat and dog
They had water that was able to get hot
Small restaurant with snacks inside
The area.. not much around. Very dark at night. It was quiet though.
One day I saw paperwork just left in the open and it had people's personal info on it - not good!
Breakfast not included

It was cheap.
Kinda old, my room wasn’t private at all. 100% of the hotel traffic went by my room and the room and window locks were a little shoddy.

the spaces and interiors
that location but that’s something they can’t control

amazing hotel - food was great, rooftop terrace was great, staff was great.
But the location was awful, you couldn't really go out of the hotel without having a taxi waiting for you.
Some taxi drivers even asked us "you don't stay here, do you?"
In general I'd advise people to stay somewhere in Poblado, as there are most of the restaurants and bars and all the tours start there (at least the ones we did, Communa 13, Pablo Escobar, Guatape).
If you do not mind taking taxis everwhere, I highly recommend this hotel! would 10/10 go again!

They have a great staff and they cook a great breakfast and dinner.
The location is a bit sketchy so if you aren't used to the inner city perhaps spend more money and stay somewhere else.

The staff were lovely and helpful at all hours of the day and night. The rooftop terrace was beautiful and almost always empty, a great place to unwind at the end of the day.
The restaurant served a selection of dishes and the few that we tired were all excellent.
The shower in our room was luxurious and always had piping hot water.
The location was NOT good. The area is sketchy to say the least, we actually had a transit worker refuse to sell us transit tickets to this neighborhood as it was in her description " VERY unstable." We needed to take Uber/taxis to leave or return to the hotel at night, and in the day were uncomfortable walking around the neighborhood. This greatly impacted our experience in Medellin.
The room had a window but it was into the hallway and the hallway light shined brightly through the thin curtains all night.

3 star hotel with 5 star service! The hotel has character and although furnishings are a little dated, the staff is exceptional and always eager to help. Good choices for breakfast and food in the restaurant is reasonable priced. Being able to drop off your laundry in the morning to find it freshly washed and neatly folded on your bed by the end of the day makes you feel as if you are home at mom's or as if you all of a sudden acquired Dobby the house elf. We also loved the spacious rooftop. The location is about 4 blocks from Medellin's Centre, which is a bit rough around the edges and thus to be approached with caution, especially at night. Unbeatable value for price. Highly recommend.
Wifi was strong and consistent during our first stay, but very inconsistent during our second stay. Noone's fault, just something to be aware of if you are dependent on solid wifi connection.

staff was so accomodating. i came in a bad mood from long travel but they instantly turned that around when i got there
check in took a while longer than i would like behind someone who had a lot of questions. there was a precheckin which was nice, but didnt help when the check-in had multiple people. bed wasnt the best, but room was clean and kept up ith during stay.

I have to say that I did extend my stay in Medellin not just because there was plenty to do each day in this fascinating city but also because I felt that where I slept each night and spent some hours during each day was such a find that I wanted to take advantage of it. When you are a long time travelling it is so nice to find a place in which you feel comfortable. I will refrain from writing about the great and spacious and spotlessly maintained rooms, the unique showers and overall quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the whole place; other guests have done that. I will say a few words about the area in Medellin. Prado, which is also the name of the nearest metro stop, is a poor, working class, really down to earth part of the city. It is loud, lively and seemingly anarchic. I could write an essay on the area for I found it a real eye opener. I think in the end it depends on the type of person you are. To find such a lovely hotel in all the chaos and deprivation is amazing. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Last word: I never felt unsafe in the area.

Great place with the right price.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The lobby, kitchen and cleaning staff are magnificent, they helped at all times in relation to tours, transportation in Medellín and above all, whenever I asked for something, they were there to help me.
I think that the area in which the hotel is located is not the most beautiful or the most touristy. There are a lot of homeless and it may not be so nice if you are not familiar with that kind of neighborhood.

Very nice rooms, restaurant and rooftop terrace.
Staff was super friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Restaurant serves very good dishes and breakfast.
There was warm water available!
Not the best location (more restaurants, bars and cafes are in El Poblado). You can get around with Uber or taxi.

great staff. excellent restaurant and breakfast. easy check in and out.
only one small comment. the shower wasn’t always hot. never cold - just sort of warm with low pressure.

Like an oasis in the chaos of Medellin. lovely staff - some of whom spoke good English. comfortable and large rooms. delicious variety of breakfast options. good coffee. and a great view from the roof terrace!
the area around it (Prado and la Candelaria) is a bit sketchy - OK during the day, but would definitely get a taxi at night. The central location is good in terms of reaching all the sights, though!

the hotel was very cozy and the room was big, although had no windows it was nice to stay there. evening receptionist was really kind and hotel restaurant menu was also good. the view from the rooftop at night was amazing!

Not a great part of town for walking at nighttime

Staying at this hotel was a dream. Hotel staff were helpful, kind and tolerated my inability to speak Spanish with grace and humor. Warm human interaction, genuine kindness & helpfulness-not a forced corporate kind of relationship. Beautiful rooms and ambience. Food was excellent. I had a visit from the roof cat which was cherry on top of perfect stay. thank you hotel 61 Prado
