We had a wonderful stay at Breakas, the moment we walked in we were greeted with a drink and shell necklace. We were lucky enough to see turtles and dugongs right off the beach. Great pool, great food and wonderful staff. Special thanks to Ernest and Ferby especially. We snorkelled off the beach, however the currents were strong so not for beginners.
Although it didn’t bother us, the shutters in each bungalow remain open so it wasn’t entirely private. We also went out on a day trip and came back to find our fan had been changed and reinstalled however nobody had told us about maintenance in our room. We would have neatened our belongings and closed our suitcase had we known. Overall we have no complaints!

Great pool, (although was shut down for a day for works) great beach, comfortable fale, good evening entertainment

Our stay at Breakas Beach Resort was exceptional. The absence of TVs and internet in the villas encouraged a serene disconnect, enhancing the tranquility of its beachfront location. The resort's calm atmosphere, combined with the friendliness of the staff, made for a truly relaxing retreat. The food, prepared by a talented Italian chef, was a culinary delight, and the welcome drink upon arrival was a thoughtful touch. The swimming pool, with its stunning ocean view, was a highlight. Breakas Beach Resort is a perfect choice for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway with great food and warm hospitality
While the room was cozy and well-appointed, we noticed the absence of luggage racks and a designated space to hang clothes, which would have added to our comfort. Although there is a wardrobe, it's located in the bathroom. We found this arrangement a bit inconvenient for storing our clothes. Incorporating these features would enhance the overall guest experience.

Beautiful location and kind staff! The bungalows are very cute and I enjoyed the semi out bathroom.
Nothing it was a great introduction to Vanuatu

Tasty dinners by italian chef.
We had a mosquito net over the bed, but ants were crawling on us both nights so we barely could sleep.
Hotel charges extra 3.5% if you are paying with a credit card for accommodation and food. Even though booking says the total price includes all charges and fees.
It's impossible to swim in the ocean — it's very shallow and full of corals, so even if you trying to swim straight from the shore, you are scratching your knees for at least 50m long. We saw a lot of people made attempts to enter the water, but all ended up sitting in the chlorine swimming pool.
No savoury options (no eggs, ham or cheese) for breakfast.

Great location right on the beach with a beautiful view from the restaurant and bar over the infinity pool. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very good food and cocktails. Great local entertainment most nights. Beautiful coral and fish on the reef for snorkelling directly in front of the resort. We plan to stay again.
The additional 3.5 percent charge for payment by credit card was a surprise but we discovered this is very common in Vanuatu. There is no air-conditioning but the ceiling fans and the breeze kept us cool enough. Parts of the access road were in very bad repair until a grader smoothed it out. Drive slowly because there are potholes on most roads in Vanuatu.

Loved the staff and the food and the beach and the pool. Overall great vibe. Easy to arrange tours and taxis with the concierge. Would stay there again for sure.
No aircon or wifi in the Fares. Somebody (not the hotel's fault) needs to seal the unsealed section of the road in to town.

We booked this resort because of the stunning photos of the pool overlooking the beach - and that central part of the resort is, indeed, fabulous.
Our room was a disaster. I couldn't believe how rudimentary it was for what we had paid for it. There were ants in the bedroom, larger, biting ants all throughout the bathroom (which has an outdoor, open-air shower), the refrigerator wasn't on, there wasn't even a phone in the room to call for room service. No airconditioning, and the fan was placed far too high to offer any real relief from the heat. No wifi, either - you have to go to the lobby or restaurant to get wifi in this resort. So the rooms really are just for burying yourself under the mosquito net and praying that you survive the insects through the night.

Visited the resort 6 years ago and really loved our stay. Decided to come back and enjoy it again. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Really needed parasols near the sun loungers as it was too hot to sit in the sun without one. I know they are expecting them soon and hopefully they will get them sooner. Definitely a big must have!

Very good swimming pool and restaurant/bar with great view.
The room is very distinctive with local features I think.
Breakfast is simple but good taste.

The staff were fantastic. The resort is a little tired but as they are coming out of 2 years lockdown, we can forgive them. The breakfast was simple but adequate. You can order eggs at no extra. We ate all the dinners which were varied and good. As Vanuatu was slowly waking up there were quite a few tourist attractions that were still closed. That said, with help from the staff we hired a driver for the day who was fantastic and drove us everywhere we wanted and more.
Initially I was disappointed that the wifi only worked near reception but found that to be a blessing in the end as we talked to fellow travelers rather than head down in the phone. I could get my email updates at breakfast or dinner and just relax.
