Although our accomodation was rather outdated with its bathroom, it was very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and linen was crisp and clean. Staff were very nice and location was excellent.
Look we were overall very happy with our accomodation, we have stayed before and will certainly stay again.

The room was much larger than I expected and was extremely comfortable with all items that we needed.
The car parking was a bit tight when all rooms were full on the 2nd night, however everyone seemed to cope well.

Great Location. Spacious. Rang ahead to pre-arrange earlier check in and this was accommodated by owner. Thank you. Well appointed for family groups doing some self-catering. Traditional style and decor, but clean and spacious. Perfect for our trip.
Tricky car parking.

Comfortable and warm with a nice big king bed. Good value for money and conveniently located in the centre of town.
No cutlery or side plates for the toaster.

a bit drab on the outside…
2.5 / 5.0
Room clean and presented well.
Kettle and toaster provided
No option for breakfast or any other food room service, also no crockery or cutlery for yourself to make your own breakfast. And motel owner has numbered the car spots without consideration for big cars, car park Is tight with little to no swing room. I was meant to be in car park 5 to be in line with my stay in room 5, I put my car I car park number 2 as it would not fit between the 2 concrete pillars of number 5 and motel owner was not very happy at this
I won't book there again for the above reasons

Well located. Staff was accommodating with our parking needs.
The property is a little dated. The bathroom needs a little attention - some ceiling mould, the shower taps were odd and the shower floor was very sloped.

Great location, bed very comfortable, room spacious and clean.
The painted white bricks could be covered with plaster board to update the facility.

All good except for the parking. The space for No 6 was way too narrow. Very hard to get in and out.
All other things ok for a short stay

Beds were pretty comfortable and the set up was suitable for a young family (1 king bed, 2x singles). The bathroom towels were great - size was very large and all the towels were very clean.
Room and bathroom were generally very clean.
Didn't use the facilities like the microwave but could see it being handy. Hairdryer in bathroom was useful. We actually didn't use the heating or cooling; the room was very temperate.
The location was really great though; short walk to lots of shops and restaurants.
Carpet could do with a steam clean as it looked clean (ie. vacuumed) but felt dirty. The room we were in was at the back of the property but actually positioned next to the main road, so at night time we could hear people walking at street level, talking loudly etc. There was a small inaccessible balcony (which had rubbish in it - I assume from the street) so that separates you a little from the actual street. Nevertheless, there are still people essentially walking about a 1.5 metres away from the bedroom windows which was noisy on a Sat night. Would prefer if we could choose a room based on location in property - not ideal for a young family.
Ramp going down to room was on the steep side for a ramp - fine for us in theory but could be problematic for someone with mobility issues.

Location
Very outdated, badly in need of updating, smelt stuffy when entering, shower floor had a real dip in the floor which made it unstable standing in the shower, poor lighting at sink.

Myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed the room. This room had plenty of space compared to many other hotels i have stayed in. Would recommend for a couple looking for a comfortable affordable place to stay.

I travelled with 3 small grandchildren and needed accommodation for one night only. The room had 2 single beds and a king size bed which was really adequate for our needs. The room was very large and had a small kitchen, (dining table, tv) bathroom and entry. Whilst the suite probably needed redecorating - think 1980s-1990s, it was clean and value for money.

The location of the Bakery Hill Motel was excellent - within walking distance of the CBD, shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, but a little dated. Nice to see a fridge, microwave, jug and toaster so that we could make breakfast in the room. There was one numbered parking spot per room.
Bathroom could use a refresh.
