the room was not like the one in the picture on booking .com . It rained all the time and couldn't leave the room. the room dull and like a box. no where to cook or make toast . no tv. only kettle. tiny verandah with hard wooden bench very uncomfortable. no table. no blankets . because we had no where to cook we had to buy food and food very expensive in cafes. charged $32 for pizza .
I wanted buy two night get three was told not available but I saw ad for it

Lovely place, amazing trails and adventures. Staff were brilliant.

Great destination.
Place needs a freshen up - new furniture would elevate it
1.0
The room layout. The bar. Mostly the birds.
The linens smelled swampy, cold water only shower (hot water didn’t work), severely overpriced room and meals.

Great location for bird watching, beautiful walking tracks.
You can feed king parrots and crimson rosellas if you buy a plate/bowl with bird seeds from the shop or the rangers. The birds will come and sit on your head and arms.
The room was well equipped, beds are comfy.
Excellent breakfast buffet with a huge selection of food and drinks.
It's a long way on a small road, but well worth driving.

The place is breathtaking. You are at the top of Lamington Park and you appreciate nature on a large scale. Our room had a view of the sunrise and it is beautiful to watch. Everything is available, grocery store, cafe, restaurant, bar and many activities. A great team that helps you for each new day.
The road to get there is currently under construction, but it's definitely worth the drive.
Thank you all.
the road to get there is under construction so it may seem long.
Too bad he has to stay at least two nights to test the mountain villas.

Accommodation needs a bit of a spruce up

We ate at the restaurant in the main lodge and it was ok, quite expensive - we also ate at the cafe during the day, They seemed to be short staffed, the internet was down at some point so they would only take cash. Luckily we had some so we just had to changed our lunch order to fit in with the cash that we had. No big deal just as well we had some with us. We really enjoyed the morning bird walk, very informative and pre dinner drinks up in the bar with the sunsets are always lovely.
We have been to O'Reillys many times over the last 33 years and used to enjoy the botanical gardens very much because of the birdlife at the pond but it was very overgrown, no pond, seemed to be uncared for which was a shame.
Used to have members of the family around but we didn't see anyone . The villas we stayed in are excellent and we would definitely stay there again but would probably take our own food and self cater.

Location.
had to argue about the room I booked on Booking.COM to what they tried to place us in. Old worn-out room. Door was stuck. Not very clean. Dinner was overpriced - bland sent meal back had to wait 20 minutes to be replaced. Was offered coffee voucher for inconvenience,
It has dropped in standards since last time we visited two years prior.

Warm and cozy inside when it was cold out, sat by fire. Bushwalking was fantastic. Feeding birds was fun and cheap. History of the place was great. Staff looked after us.
I would love to take my kids but it would be too expensive for the whole family. Driving up or down the road. The car space was far too narrow, most cars were parked outside the space.

Located in the heart of Lamington National Park- it is breathtaking! I loved that there were multiple walks accessible right from O’Reilly’s, and the 3.30 Welcome Afternoon tea was really helpful. So much to do here. It’s lovely and isolated that you feel connected to nature. Highly recommend.
Walls are thin between the room- which also took a while to warm up. A user guide to the heating would be helpful. And the prices at the shop are very high, so bring nibbles with you.

Lovely atmosphere. Particularly like the welcome tall by Jonah and I found all the staff very helpful and polite. The restaurant food was excellent. A particularly liked the head chef visiting tables. A credit to the O'Reilly family and the entire team. This trip was business, but my next trip will include my family. Thanks

restaurant extremely expensive . limited meal options and no cooking facilities in room

great hikes, great bird watching, views, nice rainforest surroundings, activities. Brendan, manager, was very friendly and accommodating, and Rahula, naturalist guide, was very knowledgeable and helpful.
the restaurant was poorly run, food was average for the high price point, chef was busy socializing and whilst we waited 1.5 hours to get served dinner.

Location Location Location!!! Surrounded by Sub Tropical and Temperate Rainforest was wonderful!
the facilities could do with some long over due maintenance e.g. our tap leaked, some gardens needed some weeding, tracks and roads around the retreat needed attention.

O'Reilly's is in a beautiful location, has courteous and helpful staff, and a wonderful feel to it. The wildlife is magnificent and O'Reilly's clearly does its very best to ensure it remains so. Watching bowerbirds just outside the restaurant while eating is delightful. The view from the mountain view rooms is beautiful. We extended our stay and moved rooms, losing half the view but gaining a spa room in our room. There are magnificent walks from the centre, but the range of guided tours and events is also very good, and the staff leading them almost all excellent. The restaurant food is not bad at all, but the range of dishes means if you stay for more than a week, you have to repeat them! The bar has a good range of wines and beautiful views, and the cafe also has good food and views. The shop has anything you need or have forgotten or didn't really need but decided to buy anyway...
Nothing of significance to dislike. If i really have to find any niggles, they used to do a morning tea for guests, but have stopped that (they still do afternoon tea). Would have liked a bit more reliable information on the other wildlife encountered on the glowworm tour, but it was fun. Asked if the woodfire could be lit when we found ourselves in the overflow dining room on the Saturday, but never got a response despite asking three different staff. It is really difficult to find things to dislike (except perhaps paying the bill when you leave, when you have stuck everything on the room tab).
