Struggling to be positive
Pictures on the website convey a different perspective on the cold reality that this accommodation is best described as well past it's best. A guesthouse in need of updating

the location to town
the drunken teenagers we had to climb over to get into the building who had spilled out of the venue in the cellar. the place is warn down and needs some tlc. still having the Christmas tree up in the window in February should have been a clue. room very dusty and extremely cold.

a short walk to the town centre, 5 mins,. large spacious living area with kitchen and dining area. All mod cons even washing machine. comfort and warm also very clean and well maintained. will definitely stay here again.
could have been nearer town centre but didn’t mind short walk. could be a problem if you are elderly and can’t walk too far especially if you have shopping or it’s raining.

We received a very warm welcome. The room was clean and warm, with lovely fresh bedding and towels and a nice powerful shower.
It was also nice and quiet.
I feel that perhaps a lick of paint may be necessary in a few areas. I expect it may be due for a bit of an update quite soon but perfectly adequate for what we needed.

Central location and adjoining rooms, convenient for mid-week stay, accessing shopping, dining out and driving to nearby areas for hiking
Low headroom in bedroom on top floor. Car Parking has width restricted access.

The hotel was close to all amenities, that being said the hotel is a little bit dated and requiring a little tlc.The lights in our room kept going on and off for no reason and only 1small radiator worked ,paintwork and walls looking a bit the worse for wear.No meals were available during our stay but weatherspoons is just across the road so this didn't cause a problem.
The decor .
2.5 / 5.0
The owner/staff member was really lovely. Location was spot on.
Everything seemed to be done as cheaply as possible. Really dated decor.
The toilet wasn't fixed to the wall
Toilet seat was wobbly
The Jacuzzi didn't work
Plug sockets couldn't turn them off
Window sill paint was coming off
Wardrobe wasn't very clean
Couldn't open the curtains
The pillow on the bed had stains on
It's a shame because it's a beautiful building, think if they spent a bit money decorating it would be beautiful.
Also it didn't tell you on the advert that there's a night club under neath the hotel, so had music blasting really late.

The host from us getting there was very friendly. He couldn't do enough for us . The rooms were beautiful and spotless. The bedding was lovely and crisp . The facilities were wonderful and the location was perfect . I would highly recommend this hotel .we will definitely be staying here again.💙
There was nothing at all to dislike

the host was very friendly & it was nice & clean. Great location. jacuzzi bath
shabby furniture (not shabby chic), The widow had a massive crack/hole in it. The wardrobe rattled every time we walked passed. very dark room. No mirror in room, only the bathroom, and no full length mirror. But worse of all was all the ‘young’ party goers sat outside the hotel drinking & smoking from the nightclub in the cellar. this is not a champagne bar, more like a youth club. This is not a boutique hotel.

location to centre of town brilliant. quality grade 11 listed building with nice airey sized rooms and everything you really need provided.
nothing

Wardrobe could be replaced, blinds are dated, advertised as four poster bed but only had two pillars

quite expensive the parking facilities were poor

Brilliant location for the centre of Skipton. The building is very old with lovely features. The room was warm, had a comfy bed along with a good bathroom and big shower. Tea making facilities. The decor is a bit tired looking but that didn't bother us as all the essentials were good. Great place for a 1 night stay as a couple needing a base, walking distance to restaurants etc.

Big room, nice Host.
Banged my head on door hook on bathroom.
3.5 / 5.0
Good location nice room very helpful staff and the property has a traditional feel
The advertised parking behind the hotel is only suitable for competent drivers as the archway you drive through is very narrow once through there’s plenty of room also early check in is not really a straight forward option but overall we were happy…

Called owners who said theyd refund me as booked wrong night. No refund

Staff were good. Room was freezing due to broken window but got a heater quickly
Cold room should have been sorted out before we booked in. For the price breakfast should be included
3.5 / 5.0
Cleanliness, close to centre of Skipton.
Steep staircase, sloping roof in bedroom meant having to crouch down to walk around the bed.

Location was fantastic
No amenities at hotel and very shabby
