Sunset view
The hotel does not look as good as in the pictures, it was the same price as other 5 star hotels that we went to in the island but had the poorest quality, service and facilities. The quality would've been justifiable for cheaper price but not happy that we paid the same price as other 5 star hotels for a significantly worse quality. The fruits were surprisingly very bad for a tropical place.

Nice place for families with lots of activities
The staff weren’t very kind. It is better to book all inclusive, or else do not have drinks at the hotel. Try to think before going there if you need to upgrade your stay with a half board or all inclusive or else the prices that they give you at the hotel for the upgrade are more than double the prices you can book online wich does not make any sense to be honest.

Very friendly staff, felt super welcomed within the whole stay.
Very clean hotel and public areas including beach.
All inclusive was definitely worth it. Drinks can also be taken down to the beach.
Privileged pool & bar is a bit smaller but yet very beautiful and if you like it more quite it’s worth to spend a sunny, relaxed day there as well. Activities/ diverse trips can be booked via Breadly+Team who are at the beach area. Trustworthy & respectful guys will help you to book any trip possible for a good price! Also very recommendable.
Overall a 10/10 holiday :) thanks to everyone for making that possible!

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Yoginee who made sure we had all the information to help get us settled in :)

The location and facilities were lovely. Pancakes and cocktails were good. The inclusive package included most drinks and it was never necessary to have to spend outside of the package.
While staff were friendly, many did not speak English or understand when being asked something. The buffet at breakfast and dinner always seemed chaotic. There appeared to be too many guests to service at mealtimes, and food often ran out and it was sometimes difficult to find a table to sit at.
Meals were also not always up to scratch.

The location was good and has its own little sandy beach. The majority of staff are happy and beautiful people. They are friendly and you can see them working very hard.
The lack of staff is making an impact on how the guests are managed within the resort. The staff they have are wonderful, and I’m sure their trying to recruit, but there just isn’t enough staff for the amount of guests. The first week we stayed was very busy and the staff were stressed, it was school holidays. The second week was more chilled and you could see things being attended to. On the first week we asked daily to have our safe opened as the previous guests didn’t leave it unlocked. On our first request they came to the room but the equipment was faulty. They said they’d be back the next day to assist and we were happy with that, but they never came back. We continued the request daily but nothing happened and we feel this was because their overwhelmed and tired. Another example are tables not well wiped down between guests in the dining hall and the placemats were often sticky. The turn over of guests is quick and again I think more of staff shortages. The staff in the dining hall work hard, none of them are lazy we’d just like to see the odd spray bottle sanitising the tables instead of an old dish cloth.
The al la carte menu is overpriced, the food wasn’t amazing and the service very slow (over an hour). Tip: Head out the gates of the resort, turn left, and walk about 150 meters and you’ll see Sindra Snack on the right. Great for lunch, delicious food & good prices.
If you need a Taxi, don’t let the resort help you. I was told a place I needed to go was 30 minutes away and a return fair would be Rs 1000. I walked out the gates of the resort and multiple Taxis stopped (they always do). Turns out my location was 7 minutes away. On 3 occasions I went to Triolet for Rs 600 return. Whats app Ijaaz on +23059170400. We even used his service to head to the South for a full day trip for sightseeing. This was Rs 3500. Airport transfer Rs 2500 (for multiple passengers) in a comfortable van.
We also didn’t like being bribed for a good review on Booking.com.

The entrance is really beautiful & the food at the sandy lane bar was delicious.
The staff at reception were also super lovely & accommodating.
The private beach/bay is nice with a volleyball court & lounges. It's also nice having an adults only area.
The rooms aren't very big. The staff with the exception of the reception staff could do with a little more training.
The food was lacking a little (most of it is gone & not replenished).

Nothing
horrible experience from the start. Found a long hair in my welcome drink which they had to of course replace. They changed our room with no explanation when i asked at least 5 times. Food had no flavour, breakfast juices all severely watered down. round beach chairs had no cushions so not even comfortable to sit or lay in. I booked taxi to airport at reception and it took 3 days and 4 people to even try to make a booking only for me to find out on the day of departure my name hasnt been confirmed for booking but all my other friends are confirmed. then getting ready to call a cab for airport, im told the driver is waiting for me and they did confirm my name. so the staff are absolutely incapable of doing anything right and the only person who seemed to finally in the last minute notice all the wrong doings was the hotel manager who was very angry on my behalf for the lack of customer service i had during my stay. During the morning and evening around breakfast and dinner all we saw was chit chatting on the side from the staff always the men

Veranda is a lovely hotel situated on a beautiful beach.
There is plenty of storage in the rooms and the beds are super comfortable although the family room is a bit squashy.
The gym is well equipped compared with most hotels although it is quite small so not ideal if more than 2 or 3 people training at a time.
The pool, bar and beach areas are all lovely.
They have a wonderful spa, but they are busy so prior bookings are necessary.
Unfortunately, the food is very substandard.
Luckily however, we only booked a bed and breakfast package, but on the 2 occasions we had the dinner buffet the food was not well cooked and was very bland.
On the first day, we ordered lunch from the a la carte menu and it was very overpriced for the food. My sister and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad which arrived with about 8 pieces of lettuce and a few pieces of over cooked chicken and an egg that looked like it have been cooked for 20 minutes. No croutons, no parmesan and no dressing....even though they were mentioned on the menu. My son ordered a burger which was tiny but OK in flavour. After much resistance, the manager eventually agreed to remove these meals from our bill.

Room cleanliness was good
The food service was very poor. No tag on menu buffet. We had a bad resto service. Prawns was half cook. Veg menu was very limited and no speciality.
