Ich würde die Unterkunft meiden.

Saubere Zimmer

Wir haben die Unterkunft mit Frühstück gebucht, da nach einer langen Anreise wir nicht gleich selbst was zubereiten wollten. Bei der Ankunft hat sich rausgestellt dass es keinen Frühstück mehr gibt. Somit mussten wir noch spät Abends einkaufen. Der Pool wird gerade renoviert. Insgesamt ist das eine große Baustelle. Wir haben nicht mal einen Rabatt bekommen sondern es wurde der vollständige Preis von uns verlangt.

Le personnel, surtout petit déjeuner et night du dimanche

Manque de conciliance de l'équipe, jus d'orange et lait du petit dejeuner en poudre, pour un petit déjeuner à 9$ moyen. Piscine non entretenue, chambre envahit de moustiques et fourmies, le seul équipement accessible était le frigo, qui était également rempli de nourriture pour animaux. Douche compliquée à mettre en marche et à réguler en température (soit très froid soit trop chaud). Odeurs de déjections animales près de la piscine et des chambres.

Com a casa!

Esmorzar molt correcte, habitació més que excel·lent!! Pel preu pagat ha superat les meves expectatives amb escreix. Molt recomanable! Prop d'Alajuela i de l'aeroport, ideal per fer-hi algunes nits. El personal encantador i molt amable, ens van acollir com a casa!!!

The hotel is a very pretty property. The rooms are sufficient, but not nice. It is a very green space with lot's of plants and the buildings are colorful. The breakfast was fresh but not big.

DO NOT PAY WITH A CARD. ONLY PAY CASH! After cancelling a later booking from this hotel my card was charged a cancellation fee, which is fine I have no issue with that. Over the course of the next month they charged my card 9 more times for almost $700. I had to dispute all these charges with my credit card company and I reported it to booking.com as well, but if the property is still listed...be wary!

Exceptional

Very accommodating even with our delayed arrival. The host Mauricio was such a nice man, very kind and friendly.

Safe, comfortable, clean but with a traditional rustic vibe.

We had a nice triple room. Staff was really helpful and the closed parking was a big plus. However, if you order food through reception (nearby restaurant), make sure to verify the order. I wanted a chicken burger and got fried chicken with nachos :( other than that would recommend!

Great stay near the airport

Carlos was awesome, he answered all of our silly questions, helped us with getting dinner and also with organising an uber for the morning. The room was big, the beds are comfy and the bathroom perfectly fine.

Very close to the airport! The Owner is a very friendly, open hearted and loving person. Had a great conversation with him.

The owner was in touch and asked for updates on our arrival time. After 5 hours flight delay we arrived past midnight, but the host was awake and waiting for us. All our requests (hot water for tea, breakfast to go, because we were leaving at 5 am) were met with ease. Furnishings were fairly old and eclectic, as well as bedding and towels. But if you are looking for a place to stay close to airport and on the way in or out of Poas volcano park and don't mind the simplicity then this is definitely a good place to stay

Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Perfect breakfast. Loved the owners - they were friendly and helpful. Beautiful property!

Wish room had better lighting and pillows. Bathroom set up could be better. For example, shelves in the shower,better quality soap, toliet that was flush free without clogging. Should be able to put toliet paper in the the toliet without it clogging up. There should be a variety of pillows, for example, softer and able to sink your head into.

Comfortable accommodation and accoutrements.

Great location and terrific staff. Breakfasts were delicious. It was easy to get into town and staff was helpful in arranging other activities.

Occasional traffic noise- motorcycles - but most of Costa Rica is that way.

Perfect for when you get in from your flight and you need a one night stay.

A nice homey and modest feel. Pretty plants and hospitable staff. There were really cute dogs there too! Free breakfast was nice. Fruit and toast and rice and beans. For outside the city it was nice. Never felt unsafe either.

The lighting in the rooms weren’t great. I’d suggest some warm lamps other than harass over head lighting. The shower wasn’t that great either

Very comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff. Very relaxed atmosphere. Close enough to the airport and ideal just before or after a flight.

You will hear every airplane in Alajuela, don't think this is avoidable and this goes for other hotels too. The pool is quite small and rather serves as decoration.

Close to the airport without being in downtown Alajuela. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, loved the papaya! But fruit and toast didn’t keep me full for long. I didn’t want the sugary cereal that was being offered.

The bottom sheet kept coming off of the mattress. When my sister woke up, the sheet was only covering half the mattress. And the pool is tiny, which could be nice to cool off, but there were lots of leaves floating in it. Not inviting.

Dirty , uncomfortable

people are nice and kind

Our bed smelled so bad , like dirty or old and we couldn’t sleep the entire night because , we could hear people talking next door , the walls are so thin that you can hear everything, I reached the owner to please do something about it, people look places like this to SLEEP and rest ! that was the LAST THING we did ! I had to flight next day , so you can imagine NO SLEEP AND FLYING FOR 11 hours with NO SLEEP !

Villa Pacande is only 15 minutes from the airport.

As a solo female traveler I am very grateful for my whole experience at Villa Pacande.
