A beautiful place in the jungle.
The view from the veranda or the restaurant was breathtaking.
The food was absolutely world class. Both the breakfast and the choices for dinner. I have rarely eaten so well.
The resort itself is also magnificent, real luxury.
Remember, it is in the jungle: the animals there were there first and man has taken this place by force!!! And there will be animals!
Unfortunately, there are small quirks that add up. The biggest drawback is the remoteness, which is why I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 5 days.
The free shuttle leaves at 10:00 and 16:00 to Ubud and only at 16:45 back. This is very weak for a 5 star resort. But clearly, if more were offered, no one would enjoy the expensive dinner on site.
A cab costs 200,000 IDR.
The room facilities are almost poor: in a large villa there is only a small closet for clothes??!!!

magnificent view over the Ayung river and green forest.
very pleasant and caring staff.
Delecious food at the resturant.
As being in nature forest, you will hear sounds at night from frogs, lizards or monkeys.

The location is amazing, just in the middle of the jungle. The room is spacious and the pool is breathtaking. But the best thing about this place is the staff, they’re so lovely they make you feel like you never wanna leave that place.
The room is a bit old and it smells mouldy. The bathroom is very humid, the floor feels like it’s always wet.

This place was absolutely stunning! You are situated right by the ayung river surrounded by nature. The food was exceptional and the staff was so friendly.
This location is not ideal if you want to go into Ubud centre a lot. It is approximately 30 minutes away.

The staff was very courteous and helpful.
Amazing breakfast and breakfast views.
Lots of comodo dragon statues on the wall.
The street to the hotel is very scary at night.
Lots and lots of statues at reception which they should consider to remove few of them as reception itself is not visible then.

Great art. Very peaceful and located in the Jungle. Tea time was great, and the staff was amazing.
The furniture is a little old and there are some parts that are dusty. Overall, a great stay for the price.

The Villa was great, very big and clean, Great pool and balcony, surrounded by the forest, and there was a few monkeys on our balcony and they were harmless, and the property itself had many beautiful places to take great pictures. The breakfast was good. Very quick responsive team and fast buggy service. The photography session was great too.
Well I was stung by a bee the moment I arrived to the open air lobby, but the staff were helpful about it, so not a big deal but you should prepare yourself for such things.

The Normal Double room was spacious with a good view of the nature. The Property was full of beautiful spots for pictures.
Nothing was really bad about it good value for a normal room.

Lovely to get away from busy and noisy Ubud Center. Property felt very large, secluded and lots of lovely jungle sounds.
Internet ok fast but kept disconnecting. Furniture was a bit old fashioned, and you can see dust and dirt under the bed. The property needs thorough renovation after being closed for 2 years after COVID-19 but you could see that they are trying…

I had a 4-night stay with my wife in this hotel. We were on a honeymoon, and to be honest, the hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything was exceptional, however, I like mostly the location where you feel that you are in a jungle, not a hotel. the sound of the river can be heard in your room and can be seen from the restaurant. The food is of very good quality also, and the service is amazing. Moreover, I must say that the views are iconic. in every inch, you can take an amazing photo. BTW, you must try their Photography services.
You have to put in mind that the city center is a bit far though. around 30 minutes by car. Also, because you are in a jungle, you must now that you need a buggy to travel from one place to another inside the hotel. However, the buggy service that the hotel is providing is fast to order and always at your service.

The staff were friendly
Paying for a five star hotel I expected at least a comfortable stay. What I did get was no water , no electricity and two air conditioners with a non working remote . Dirty top of the bed (when you lay down on it and put your eyes up, the top part had huge yellow stains all over it ) . We were offered to be taken to a different room (by buggy, you can’t even walk to it you have to ask the reception to come pick you up) every time we needed to use toilet / wash our hands / have a shower . We didn’t even get a partial refund for this terrible inconvenience. And we only stayed for one night . Our stay was completely ruined . There was also no electricity and we couldn’t even charge our phones. The aircon was not functioning (or the remote) not sure which.

Nothing, only the ataff were polite
This resort in very very old, there is no renovation, the rooms look terrible, the place is in a horrific state!!! The walls full of mould, the sink and bathroom walls and floor with mould , the water at the tap is brown !!!! The walls you can see the paint going off, because of humidity and leakeage on the ceiling and the walls !!! This place is horrible, like a scary , horror movie!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, WASTE YOU MONEY HERE!
Everything is disgusting, definatelly this is not even a 4 star place, it does not barely deserve 2 -3 stars for the cleanliness 😣
The firniture is old...and when i say old...jeeez old, the room has no light switches next to the bed, so all the light switches are all over the room, the plugs are way out of your way 😣😣 i had to pull aside the bed side table to accomodate my phone charger , plus the dirt behind it 😔
This place is full of monkeys around, so if you are scared, better to avoid it, anyway there are a few places in Bali where monkeys are quite agressive, due to locals feeding them in public places to gather them for people to see, but tbey jump and basically grab anything you hold with you, plus they can scratch you ..so be aware of that example uluwatu temple, horrible, monkeys all over, and the people there throw them the food in the middle of the pathway where the tourist are supposed to walk, therefore they become agressive to tourist and jump to grab and steal anything you hold in yout hands, especially sunglasses and hats 😬. In this resort the monkeys are around , and while we were walking to the room one day, one started to run after us, it can be scary sometimes .
The staff were polite , i imediately asked for the front office manager ony arrival to change the room or refund my money, they gave me a big suite instead but regretably to say the place was the same, you can see for yourself in the pictures the horrifying state that thos place is in !!

We loved everything about this resort! From the beautiful caring, friendly and professional staff who go above and beyond to be kind and helpful, to the 5-star restaurant with delicious food and outstanding service was delightfully amazing! Staff drive you in a golf buggy to and from your room at any time. The traditional Villas were so beautiful with all the detailed wood carvings and are comfortable and roomy with a lovely big bathroom, comfortable bed and good sized pool with great views of the forest surroundings (and monkeys that sometimes pass by!). Everything was easy to get to and arrange, and the staff made our stay exceptionally wonderful with nothing being too much trouble. We would definitely return again and highly recommend staying here in this wonderful, beautiful place
Although clean, our villa (like many in Bali right now) is starting to look a little tired in areas (in particular some of the soft furnishings and outside patios) that just need some attention/renewal to look their best to uphold the luxury appeal. In their defence, this is just after coming through the global pandemic so it's understandable some minor work to make the villas look amazing and new-ish again would be desirable. I would also like to see actual soap available in the bathroom as an option other than just body wash as well. - But really, we were very happy and well looked-after so there's truly nothing not to like!

Everything is good.
Little bit scary and secluded like the move 1921.
Laundry service not good
