Arrived tired and thirsty after a long walk up Cader Idris. Hotel was just what we needed
Breakfast excellent. Good bar. Reasonable selection of beers. Dinner was good. Not as good as breakfast, but service good all round. Great location for Cader Idris
It was all good, really

An amazing place!
Our room was clean and beautiful! We had an amazing view of the square. The hotel is in the centre and near to shops. There are a lot of parking options. The hotel staff was lovely, and we also enjoyed having dinner there.

Trip to Snowdon
Loved the location and the hotel was beautiful, a member of staff helped us and was extremely friendly despite being on the nightshift which is very impressive! Although we did have to wait for a while and search around for someone to help us.
Beds weren't the best, family room for 6 with small single beds and one sofa bed. For the price I expected a little better.

A very nice overnight stay. On Saturday the bus stop was moved to the bus garage but we found it!
Clean comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Easy to check in and out. Good breakfast. Central location.
Very poor television reception. NO S4C! Please tune it in.

Good
The hotel was well presented and clean and tidy. The majority of the staff were very nice and breakfast was very good. The room was clean and well presented. The location was very picturesque.
Parking is a massive issue with this location. I was aware of the limited spaces in the hotel's car park but, was reassured that on-street parking was available but, not advised that there is a limit to on-street parking of 1-hour in the vast majority of the available spaces within easy walking distance. This is between 8am and 6pm (If I remember correctly) so, when arriving at 3pm (earliest book in time), it was difficult to find somewhere to park the car just to unload luggage etc, before having to move the car to a local long stay car park (£5.50 for 12 hours) to leave the car in an unsecured car park next to a play park about 5 minutes walk away from view. I was worried about damage, or worse, to the car overnight. When booking the two rooms, I requested them close together. On arrival, we were presented with a room on the first floor and a second room on the third floor. When I mentioned that I had requested the rooms close together, the staffmember just looked at me blankly. Also, accessibility in the hotel was not great for People with Restricted Mobility. My mother took the room on the first floor and instead of the regular bathroom, it had a large wet room with rails and a pull cable communication system, assumably for PRM guests but, access to the room was either via a double staircase, or via the lift, up a small stairs, through a narrow doorway onto the corridor for the room. We commented that the room was well setup for wheelchair users but, almost impossible to access if using a wheelchair. The hotel, to my knowledge, has no guest rooms on the ground floor so, PRM guests would have to use rooms with difficult access, which is worth noting. If my Dad had been with us, he would have really struggled with the layout of the hotel. Other small issues were: the TV in the room would only pick up two channels.
