Set in an amazing picturesque location the Lion is a true gem. Our room was outstanding & breakfast service friendly & attentive. I chose the Eggs Benedict & my wife had poached egg on avocado. Both were top notch.
For us, we were disappointed not to be able to eat there in the evening. So well worth booking.

Great overnight stop if walking the cotswold way. Great bar staff. Dinner and breakfast lovely.
Beds comfy and super hot showers.
Check-out slightly awkward in the morning. Expected to pay cash as splitting the bill. Website says cash ok but the lady wouldn't accept.

Beautiful, welcoming
It was all wonderful!

My upstairs room was very nice. My friends were very happy with the downstairs garden access room.
My upstairs room was very noisy at night with some sort of humming engine or motor noise going on outside the window. When I mentioned it to the manager, he was rather dismissive and defensive and said all he heard was the couple in the opposite room fighting and a t.v on too loud. I did not hear the couple fighting, and I presumed he was referring to MY t.v., which was only on for a short period of time. I did not appreciate his manner, and I also did not like the dour manner of the woman who was on duty for breakfast and dealing with the bill before the manager arrived. When I pointed out she was trying to charge me for two nights instead of one, she also got defensive and said she was new and still learning the ropes. My experience with the rather ungracious manner of both these staff members rather put me off the establishment.

Nice and cozy. Great athmosfare Good value.

Lovely old inn with a lot of character. Great staff and good food. The fireplace at the bar is brilliant.
They don’t have their own car park but there is a public car park right behind the inn. Just use the garden gate.

The staff were all lovely and happy to help. Our room was perfect and just what you'd expect from a Cotswold hotel. It felt comfortable and cosy and was really clean. The location was great to use as a base to explore the Cotswolds. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was yum. The next evening we came back for desert and a glass of wine in the bar. I'd definitely recommend staying here and if we're ever back would absolutely re-book
Absolutely nothing

Amazing location in the centre of peaceful Winchcombe. Lovely quirky building and nice bar serving good Butcombe ales.
The two rooms were advertised as being 'double or twin'. We requested 2 twin rooms and this was confirmed to us via email, but on arrival were given 2 double rooms.

Clean nice bed and generally ok room
Noise from bar tilll early hours, attitude of management when complaining on this, room is over the pub toilet and it is noisy, wifi was slow and poor and tv large but only free view could be watched no casting possible

Excellent accomodation, rooms were stylish and comfortable with everything we needed. The pubs was so cosy and charming - food was superb and the staff were warm and accomodating.
You could hear a little noise from the pub downstairs but it was a pretty quiet pub when we stayed so didn't bother us.

From the outside it looks like an ordinary pub, but once inside it is a very comfortable, warm and welcoming place. Great food (standard gluten free), nice, small, but efficient, clean and comfortable rooms. Diner menu is great and breakfast an absolute treat.
Rooms could have been slightly larger.

The Luon Inn is a beautiful historic inn that felt like walking back in time. It was pefectly located for our walk on the Cotswold Way. The breakfast was wonderful with a wide selection.
Room was a bit awkward with sloping floors and a very low beam lleading into the bathroom and a very low sloped ceiling in the bathroom.
