Nice property in nice neighborhood adjacent to lake Anna

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property at Lake Anna. Very conveniently located within walking distance to putt putt golf, restaurants and an ice cream parlor! Fredericksburg and Culpeper are within a 30 minute drive.

Our second time staying here. Nice relaxing week at our favorite lake. Checking in and out was seemless and no issues with the property.

Had a great time at the house easy to find. Guest services responded quickly how was clean and plenty of room!

Nice space. Large room for social time. Loft and downstairs living areas. Beautiful views of Lake Anna. The property suited our stay very well for our group to be together while attending a nearby event. Beautiful area.

Everything was just as it said it would be in the description and list of amenities! Thank you!

Gorgeous house inside and out! The rich wood color and aroma when you enter hits you immediately, and I could totally see myself living in a house like that! Tons of rooms and places for guests to sleep so it was the perfect spot for my bachelor party weekend. We're not crazy guys and wanted a quiet weekend at the lake, and during the offseason it was amazing. The proximity to Tim's seafood was great. We went there our first night, and I highly recommend their corn nuggets.
Lamentably, the septic tank has probably not been pumped in quite some time because after we set the dish washer to run the basement shower regurgitated raw sewage from the tank. On our last day as we were preparing to leave and go to church all 6 of us had to shower which potentially led to the basement shower totally flooding with waste from the tank. Really disturbing.
I think if they fix the septic tank issue this is a 5/5 experience. Beautiful house, beautiful location, tons of great amenities and places to hang out for a fun weekend.

Thoroughly enjoyed the large, open great room/kitchen/dining space! Double sinks outside of the toilet rooms made for ease of access for all. Beds were comfy, house was clean, view was lovely. Fun girl time at the fire pit!

Keyless entry did not work when we got there. I used the code I received. But found 3 doors unlocked. Next afternoon it was fixed.
Had to borrow a metal spatula from a family members house to cook burgers on the grill.

The house was just like the photos. It was an easy process for booking, check in, etc. Great location on the lake!

This is a beautiful cabin. very clean and comfortable with plenty of beds. There is a number to call if things are wrong. They were responsive and mostly helpful. The location extremely close to Tim’s and the boardwalk. There is a loading dock fairly close. You have partial views of the lake on both sides of the home. There is a nice fire pit in the yard. The decks are spacious and pretty. Safe area.
The door code didn’t work when we arrived. The help line worked with us but it took 30 mins.
The tvs were located in the basement and loft. No tv on the main floor. The tv was difficult to navigate as you could only go through the dvd player. The help line person worked with me on this.
The ceiling fan did not work in the loft and it was extremely hot up there.
The bathrooms were very small. The shower door on the main floor bathroom opens toward the door and blocks the door when opened. My elderly father in law fell getting in the shower and it was difficult to get him up as no one could get in.
There were no ping pong paddles for the table. I called the help line but no one responded.
The site stated that we had slip #1 for boats but there was a boat in it. We had no where to put our kayaks. It was difficult to carry them up and down the hill to the dock.
Overall a nice place with minor inconveniences.

This house was just beautiful. Very clean and comfortable, with lots of space and decks. Lovely view of Lake Ana, and the short walk to Tim's Crab Shack and Restaurant was a bonus. Food was great. We had plenty of beds and baths for our family of six adults. Had some problems figuring out the television situation but the DVD player worked fine. Also could use more room and security for garbage - we had a visit from some kind of critter. Pretty minor stuff in comparison to the amazing time we had together as a family. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely gorgeous! there is a slow leak on the sink in the downstairs bathroom- ceiling fan in the queen bedroom is just about shot we didn't run for fear of it possibly catching
on fire- most of my group could not do stairs so we didn't have access to TV which would have been nice on the main floor, but the home is beautiful and we so enjoyed our stay

Place was beautiful but not very clean. There were bats in the walls lots of scratching. Property needs new cookware because the pans were rusted. The property management were awesome and responded to every issue. There are no curtains in the common areas of the house and everyone can see in at night.. Felt very exposed. All of the bedrooms have window dressing so they were private. The over all experience was very nice just had some issues. I recommend property owner take care of the issues so in the future people have a nice stay there.

The beds are super small for adult couples. The furniture is super outdated. I was unaware of the fact they do not provide trashbags or toilet paper for your entire stay. I may have missed this somewhere in the posting but believe it should be stated in plan view so that we could come prepared. Super close to a busy road, which was noisy.
Positives
Clean
Lots of room outside and in
Quick to respond to code not working
Close to putt putt and a couple of places to eat
Close to yummy ice cream

The location of this house is very good close to restaurants and shops and boat rentals but the house itself is terrible, not clean the bedding has not been cleaned ever the sheets looks washed, the furniture are dirty and the kitchen tools are not cleaned, dog hair everywhere the beds and pillows are old the worst is incests everywhere in the towels in the bed in the coffee machine I mean every where, would not go back!!

What an amazing gem on the lake! Longview Lodge was such a nostalgic breath of fresh air! Quaint, calm, and collected location. This is what our large, happy family needed. Big bonding time and blazing bonfires, with room for everyone to run free. The calm foggy mornings in lake were picturesque and surreal. We can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday. The property manager was very quick to response when the door code didn't work. A new code sent immediately did the trick. Beds and towels were nice. Checkout did not involved tons of things to do. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Be aware there is road noise from the highway in some of the bedrooms.

Simply Perfect-was just two of us, a bass boat and the dogs
The most important thing to us was that we could bring our dogs, without breed or weight restrictions. Our kids are grown and we take our dogs everywhere now. The location was easy to get to had a boat ramp right across the street, Tim's restaurant was great and put-put golf was in walking distance. Try their Killa Drilla drink. We brought our bass boat and was a bit tricky to back it in the driveway. Plenty of room for cars. The porches had to be my favorite part with a great water view. There was an enclosed porch off the back of the house connecting the back two bedrooms, dogs liked that lol. There was a small screened in porch off the loft as well. Three double beds and three bunk beds. May need extra blankets for the bunk beds. Heat and air worked great. There's a bathroom on the ground floor with a standup shower. On the main floor there's double sinks in the hallway so all can use and then two additional toilets, a stand up shower and a shower with a tub. We could hear some road noise and of course, Tim's was busy. We weren't looking for a quiet place so this didn't bother us at all, was a real fun spot!. The outdoor firepit was amazing! We all had a great time, thank you for sharing your property with us!

The rental place was exactly like it was pictured. Very clean. The traffics noise was the only drawback, which really was not that bad. Overall satisfied with the experience

Quiet area for a weekend getaway
Property was a great location, a beautiful area, and quiet. The only reason it got a 4 star for cleanliness is that almost every pot and pan was caked with grease and obvious that they had been just stuck back in the cabinet. Everything else about the house was clean and contact with the local property manager to inform the of the issue was easy. Definitely will look at staying here in the future.

Outdated and unmanicured
Saw the house as we rounded the corner and the house looked great. Then took a closer look. Shrubs over grown, beds have weeds that look to be a year old. Faded and tattered holiday sock flags hanging all around the deck. I wanted to take them down but felt I might be charged if I removed them. Entering the house it was clean. As the pictures show on line the furnishing are dated. However, what you don't see is damages and maintenance issues. These always bother me and I took pictures of all of them. Wall next to one of the exit doors was badly scratched by a dog, dining room table leg and base chewed and chunk of floor missing,
Refrigerator water dispenser is yellowed, rust inside the washer lid, dryer is peeling on the inside, 3 blind slats missing in the 2nd bedroom, 2 blinds in first bedroom don't have rods to open and close, ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms clunk when on (could not use them). TV in the basement only gets 3 channels. TV in loft is only for Netflix. No TV anywhere on the main level. tub faucet in hall bath constantly drips, the leg brackets are off of the ping pong table (therefore never used). Trash was left out back by previous renter or cleaning crew. (I took it with me so I would not be charged). We were there for my son's wedding and NEVER invite family or guest to stop by for a visit. It was simply a place to lay our heads for a few nights. If the furnishing were up-dated and repairs made, add TV on main level and provide cable service (as was advertised over a year ago when I originally booked), pull the weeds remove old decorations on deck it would be a GREAT place to stay. All in all the wedding was AMAZING!

Perfect
Managed by Vacasa, the communication and check-in/check-out was seamless. We had someone from the property management firm text us after arriving for any needs and they were very helpful. The property itself was spacious, very clean, and the kids had a blast downstairs with the games and bunk beds. Perfect for us as well as it was dog friendly. Nice, safe neighborhood, and very close to a crab house, mini golf, ice cream, and water equipment rental outfitters. A short drive to the park entrance and beach access. It rained a lot during our trip, but the house made staying put a great time. The appliances are a bit outdated, and one shower had a slow drain but these are pretty small complaints for the cleanliness and quality of the rental. We will be back for sure.

Family vacation
We really enjoyed our stay. Home is beautiful, clean. The only issue was with the towel supply. Listing showed towels provided but only 1 set of towels provided for each bathroom. This was not a problem for us as we brought some with us. For a home that sleeps 12 three bath towels could be a problem.

Beautiful and relaxing
A very nice property with enough room for several families. Everything was sparkling clean. Our stay was relaxing and uneventful with great sun and moon rises over the lake and sunsets over the fields. The only thing missing was a hammock on the deck! Tim’s on Lake Anna Seafood restaurant, mini golf, and an ice cream place are a 1/4 mile walk down the hill (check hours for opening times). Callie Opie’s restaurant is a 5-min drive and their food was wonderful.
Tip: Bring a sleeping mask if you hope to sleep past sunrise. It’s bright. The ping pong table is usable, but the legs aren’t properly attached. Whatever you do, don’t lean or lunge! Lastly, the well water is sulfurous and awful for drinking, so bring a filter or bring bottled water.

Beautiful little getaway-lake view was very peaceful.
While there was a big TV in the downstairs area, having one on the main floor might have been nice as well. Otherwise the accommodation was clean and spacious and offered all of the amenities. We enjoyed our brief stay!

Great place
This a great place to spend time at the lake. A little loud because it’s off the main road but it is to be expected. The house has a great layout and if you have a boat it’s super convenient. Would stay here again.

House was better than in the pictures
When getting to the property we were pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. The pictures made it look like a nice place but upon arrival it was much nicer than expected. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they weren't bad. The property was very clean. My only complaint is that I tried reaching out to the property manager on multiple occasions leading up to the trip with questions and never received a response. That part is very frustrating. Check out instructions were also limited. We were not told where to leave trash, what to do with bedding, etc. Overall the experience was good and the location was awesome. I would book the house again. It would just be nice if the property manager would do a better job of replying to tenants.

Beautiful house!
The house was wonderful - plenty of space, well-appointed, and we loved sitting on the decks. My kids loved jumping off the dock and having Tim's and Moo Thru (which had AMAZING ice cream) just a few steps away was really convenient. Easy drive to Lake Anna State Park, where there's a great beach and a lot of hiking trails. We would definitely rent this house again on a return visit to the lake!
