We loved the place, it was great for a family retreat, but could fit some family friends, too! The kitchen has all necessary utensils, tons of plates and cutlery, even stuff for raclette and fondue, There are 2 fridges and a big freezer, which was really helpful, as during covid we prefer cooking at home rather than eating out, and the kitchen has great space for storing the products. The laundry room is equipped with a washer and a dryer, which we did not use, as we don't ski (nothing to dry), so can't tell how good they are.
We brought lots of duvets and blankets as well as warm clothes and slippers, but none of it was used: the one thing you definitely don't have to worry about is being cold in this chalet - the heating is great (we even had to turn it down a bit), the floors are nicely warm and if that's not enough for some reason - there's a functioning fireplace in the living room, but you might need to go to the nearest Carrefour to grab some firewood and firelighter.
The views from the terrace and the balcony are magnificent! And it is so close to everything: 10 minutes drive to Chamonix, 5 minutes walk to Les Grands Montets ski lift. If you are there before the snow, the area offers many wonderful hiking trails, which we tremendously enjoyed.
The check in was super easy - we just needed to pick up the keys from a locker located 5 minutes walk from the chalet. Upon arrival we found a little nice surprise: a bottle of sparkling wine and some sodas on the dining table (which is huge by the way).
As for the check-out, we were stupid enough to stop reading the check-in instructions after the French section started, but it turned out, if we scrolled, we could also find the checkout instructions in English on the following pages. Turned out that we left everything in a wrong state, which I felt very bad about... Please read the checkout instructions before you leave.
As much as we loved the place, one can always find areas for improvements (which are by no means a deal breaker for us to stay there next time!): like the beds felt a bit narrow for me to sleep 2 people (I recon they were 140 cm?). It was possible, but not the most comfortable sleep for two.
The furniture and equipment in the chalet was not all new and fresh and sparkling clean, but nothing that we could not deal with.
One thing that we were not used to - is toilets separated from bathrooms, so whenever one used a toilet, they could not wash hands without having to move to another room (on another level). A little sink in both toilets would make sense.

We stayed here for our Christmas holiday and absolutely loved our time in Argentiere! It was perfect for a relaxing, low key family holiday. We were a group of seven (including four kids ages 2-12,) and the amount of space for the cost was a huge perk for us. While we did not go for skiing, we saw many people walking to the ski areas, and we want to consider a return trip to ski! Chamonix is nearby, but we enjoyed exploring the town and it’s little shops and eateries. The views from the home are stunning, and we loved the giant windows! We received much communication from the rental agency, who has a great online chat feature for answering questions. Also- very effective central heating!
To be clear, we would definitely consider staying here again, but overall, the fixtures and features are a bit tired. The overhead lights in the living room didn’t work. The chairs in the living room need to be replaced. (Our young kids kept knocking them over.) Fixtures could use updating (plastic towel racks.) None of these things would discourage us from visiting again, as this chalet isn’t a luxury property, but we felt it should be noted.
